  1. Can't agree with any of that at all. When Rob joined us he never came in with superstar credentials, he was a nobody. As a TM you don't need contact's, that's Buster's job as Promoter. Finding someone with trophies is tough as all are taken by existing clubs. The Young Stars lads have nothing but good words for Allitt and was highly praised for his time at Peterborough. http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2740.2
  2. https://twitter.com/EtihadStadiumAU/status/788615943039623169
  3. I'm just a tad concerned as just over 3 days until practice and the track still isn't, by a long way completed. Could be a rough nights (mornings) racing
  4. If they're genuinely interested in a fans view then the BSPA should: Hold a pre-AGM and organise an agenda Release the agenda on their Website 2 weeks later each individual club holds a fans forum to go through the agenda Each clubs committee member takes the ideas to the AGM Clubs without a committee membership (new promoters) their idea's sent directly to the BSPA Chairman Holding a forum at a single venue is pointless and doubly pointless after the event has taken place.
  5. The home clubs yes as it's their responsibility to complete fixtures
  6. Rumour Alert: It appears Leicester can't get riders as a number of potential guests contacted to ride have asked for payment up front and been refused.
  7. I think Poland are running their ship correctly for their very expensive business. Outside of Individual events the Ekstraliga is the place to be followed by Sweden. I have no issue and congratulate PZM in pushing on with it.
  8. They were great away days down at Rye. Some good banter & heated discussions on turns 1-2. Racing not always great but the atmosphere was top draw. Rye House is up there with the away trips to Ipswich & Peterborough for me Miss those meetings a lot
  9. I thought the same when Buster was appointed but he seems to be clueless on how to entertain his own supporter's in recent seasons how the hell is he likely to fix the whole of British Speedway? Just thinking out loud, knowing his character it wouldn't surprise me if he quits as chairman come the end of the AGM.
  10. The same as the last 20+ years, rider's and a management team that will show they give a s#!+ for the club rather than just their bank accounts Unfortunately, just think those days are gone
  11. I just have a feeling Rory Schlein might be the TM & local too
  12. Couldn't Gerhard get some sort of legal patent copyright protection thingy that stops any tampering of engine casing?
  13. Milik could be 7x SEC Champion & 10x World Champion but it's all irrelevant and should be. Assessed averages are based on other Professional League Championships i.e. team racing and nothing else. People need to get it out of their skull banging on about individual racing. Any rider missing a season should be ok to use their previous average but 3 years is to long. 2 or more years re-assessment should be automatic, not as and when requested.
  14. A miss placed British problem that's gone on for decades in all sports that all foreigners are better than home grown.
  15. The current PL > EL conversion is multiplied by 0.6 3.79 is Newman's average That's fine by me but those 2 mentioned riders would be assessed 7's, Newman & Ellis would have to add almost 1.5 points to their averages. Seeing as rolling averages are used, can't see that happening until at least July / August greensheets. If Newman and Ellis did up their averages to 7's would be a huge risk to replace them with rider's that have never turned a wheel in the British leagues regardless of who they are. On the rolling averages it would also mean that Newman & Ellis would be nailing an 8+ average within the 2017 season. All you'd be replacing is like for like at no real gain to the team just a tripled wage bill out of Matt's pocket
  16. R.Worrall will be on his current EL average as he wasn't an EDR.
  17. Woffinden's & Cook's antics tonight are what Speedway today misses quite often. Playing up to the crowd and a little argy bargy adds to the spectacle. Some absolutely sensational racing, Peter Karlsson's smile when mentioning the race track said it all for me. He was right, "it's one of the best" "a proper Speedway track". Utterly brilliant (I'm still buzzing and the result meant nothing to me) Commiserations to Belle Vue Congratulations to Wolverhampton
  18. Certainly hope there's plenty of back wheel chasing, handlebar banging, inside outside racing Good luck & stay safe to both sets of riders & fans Have a party:
  19. Kennett has never ever ever achieved an 8+ average in the Elite League his whole career. 7.92 is his highest ever average in 2009. Excluding 2011 from which he was banned for cheating he's been a 5-5.5 average man. He's gone from 5.86 (2015) to 7.16 (2016). Or even your own sites numbers show 6.33 (2015) to 7.89 (2016). IMO Kennett has improved greatly as he rightly suffered bad after his 6 month ban. To take 7 years to achieve a 7+ average is improvement and 20+% on the previous seasons average is brilliant in anyone book.
  20. Are you saying the rumours are true or false with that statement?!?
  21. Think Haza is referring to what's been flying about all over social media in that the Belle Vue management have run out of money, rent arrears and unpaid rider's. I believe these rumours have substance but for me it was all early season stuff when the club had no home meetings to race. I'm quite sure Belle Vue are where they need to be financially now but the early season issues have just stuck like poo to a blanket. What happens over the winter months will telling so a case of wait and see
  22. You really think Leicester are worried about another fine? There is a real belief that 2016 could be the last of Leicester Lions. After being fined heavily by the SCB regarding conduct v King's Lynn at home in the A fixture and not receiving backing from the BSPA, what better way is there than to mess about the BSPA Chairman, King's Lynn's management, riders and fans.
  23. It is just UK he seems to have issues. Been excellent in Ekstraliga (Believe he's won Rookie of the Year or similar in Poland) & Elitserien and you don't become World U21 Champion being a bottler
