Peterborough Panthers 2023
Daniel Smith replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As horrific as the line-up looks, what else is there to be expected? It shows the dumbing down of the league over the last decade. No top rider's in the SGP & Ekstraliga have any relevance to Peterborough Speedway. Are we expecting Crump, Sullivan to don the kevlars again & just ride around at the back waving?? -
Tigers vs Wolves (playoff semi 2nd leg) 28/09/23

Plus the 2 teams in the final have the same major sponsor. End of the season has worked well for them -

That's the issue Neil. It's suggeated that Sheffield have penciled in to use Lambert for tomorrow & the final. Whether it's for Musielak or Woffinden is irrelevant as the 8 day rule is still effective. It is British Speedway though so who knows -

The 8 day rule doesn't exist in the Play-Offs then? -
That rule doesn't exist. You just can't ride for both teams in a 2 leg tie. If anything happened to any of Ipswich's top 2 there'd be nothing stopping Lambert riding against Sheffield in the final

Absolutely no chance. 20/30 more likely, 50 absolutely tops -
King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions
Daniel Smith replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The team will depend on whether Dale Allitt remains in control of team affairs. If so, fully expect much of the same as the last few years of rider's that add nothing to the team -
Belle Vue vs Ipswich play off semi 1st leg

Yes but not in the same 2 leg tie -

Correct, Lambert hasn't completed 3 home meetings so will remain assessed. No Play-Offs for him. -

Seems some are being confused as to what planning permission is for. Any land owner can remove any buildings that doesn't have any existing use & or listed status without council permission. Once the season ends the land owner can remove the stand & plough over the track, nothing can stop that. Only an objection order can prevent the demolition but this has to be in place before the last meeting. Any delay (November onwards) would likely be to late. -
Robert Lambert is committed to Sweden & Poland. He will not be in the UK from the season start.
-
Hypothetical, but would this work for Stars fans? Look solid to me. 1. S. Masters 7.45 2. B. Basso 5.66 3. N. Klindt 6.89 4. V. Tarasenko 6.37 5. R. Douglas 7.04 6. S. Lambert 4.93 7. (R/S) Ave: 38.34 Remaining: 0.66

Kings Lynn v Ipswich 4th September
Daniel Smith replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
People missing the point with the praise and worship of Buster. The most significant difference from the past 2/3 years is this back end of the season he's HAD TO SPEND MONEY. Hopefully he's learnt a valuable lesson, you can't run a team on the cheap without consequence. He should know now, King's Lynn in 2024 MUST HAVE A GENUINE No1 & No5 to stand a chance. Some will say Simon Lambert & Anders Rowe must also be included, but they both could be on 5 averages next season making them 2nd strings. Could you really trust them as a No2 & No4?? -
Yes, if Leicester make top 4 he can't guest
-
I'm thinking of the more important Play-Offs
-
Some wild choice of guests that aren't even available. Doyle only available for home meetings, Lambert has an assessed average, Fricke will be cup tied. Laguta (if he wants to) will be the only genuine No1 available. Most likely it'll be Harris

Wasn't long ago Louis was praising Buster & all the criticism was unjustified. How things change when it effects you hey -
I've sent a text to clear it up. "The 4.43 is an assessed average as V hadn't completed enough meetings with the rules that season. His actual ave for that year was 3.40, so gets the minimum ave of 4.00 based on his 10 rolling matches which is in line with this seasons rulebook."
-
Sheffield should be using whichever average is highest. Established PL or converted CL for Vissing
-
I based it on just 2023 figures, more accurate to form.
