  1. Great idea except for the fact that you'd have to fit in 32 away fixtures also The league fixture programme consists of about 26 weeks (taking out World Cup week to)
  2. No, they go on the website when the press officer has received the details. They're not BSPA ratified details.
  3. Belle Vue would be nuts to drop Fricke for any of those you mention. If anything Richie Worrall & Williamson are the 2 I'd take out and go with: 1. Max Fricke 9.92 2. Kenneth Hansen 6.74 3. Steve Worrall 8.47 4. Victor Palovaara 5.81 5. Craig Cook 9.83 6. Adam Roynon 5.12 7. Dan Bewley 3.90 I know there are riders in there that you'll go "WTF" to but the NSS is fast and Hansen, Palovaara & Roynon have always been quick. All 3 can do a job away too. I can't see Belle Vue being without Fricke, Cook, S. Worrall & Bewley so those other 3 would be great fill-ins imo.
  4. TMC had some great points in his post & semi-pro is the way forward. A lot of riders today are having to do 2nd jobs to make it pay but the hand should be forced to reduce the riders costs in uk racing. Off the shelf, how much are 4 complete bikes? £20,000??? This is how I'd set about straightening speedway in the uk (excuse my maths but hopefully you get where I'm going with it) Clubs pay a yearly fee to the equivalent of 2 meetings riders points money to run into a BSPA Central Account Fixed points money for all 3 divisions Clubs pay weekly fees to the equivalent of 90 points (75 + 15 bonus points) to a BSPA Central Account BSPA pays rider's wages based on the referees score card (excluding fines) from the BSPA Central Account NL £20 per point - £7 admission - 515 people to break even Championship £60pp - £10 admission - 1080 people to break even Premiership £100pp - £13 admission - 1385 people to break even Sponsorship for both clubs & riders are there to help fill gaps in purchasing equipment and running costs etc At the end of every season any money accumulated in the "BSPA Central Account" is shared out to all clubs NL 20% Championship 30% Premiership 40% The remaining 10% is used by the BSPA for shared events & youth development the following season British riders should still have the ambition to compete in Poland, Sweden, GP's etc but the money going out of British clubs shouldn't be financing that. That finance should be sourced from those leagues and sponsorship

  10. What makes you say that? Plenty of room to fit a big hitter at No'1. Lawson would be a terrible signing imo
  11. Under average system of 2016 this 2017 Swindon side comes to just over 37. So, after the 4 home & 4 away if the riders perform to their actual averages Swindon will be able to strengthen which would be the difference and make you Play-Off contenders. For me though, the biggest concern should be Doyle. Nobody knows if he's going to be mentally fit
  12. Think we can pretty much guarantee who 5 of the rider's are. The 2 so far ain't a surprise. The other 3 are Lambert, Batchelor & Rose The last 2 spots are dependent on the inclusion or not of Iversen / Holder. If one of those are in then it's Bailey at No'7, if one of those are not in then we will have 2 surprises.

The NSSC stuff always seems to be top secret People that attends these never seem to disclose anything ever said It's also lovely to hear from the NSSC having a pop at the forum members If I didn't know better I'd of thought the group had links with the BSPA if this is how to conduct themselves
  14. The drop to 42 is correct but with the original posters theory it'll make no difference what the team average is as the change would be allowed.

  18. I don't agree, Heaver sounded pretty sincere & believable. Horton has been stalling & changing agreements. The crux of it all is Horton couldn't afford to run speedway alone at £350,000 a season. Horton is the problem here
  19. They had no choice to do that. Tomorrow is their last day as lease holders. If they didn't get their property removed by then Horton gets the lot for free, that isn't right or fair

So Jeremy Heaver states: Sandhu was a major part in Horton getting the lease at a reduced cost of just £50,000 per year Sandhu was an integral part of getting the sponsorship packages agreed for next season Stox have been trying to agree a deal for 16 weeks but Horton keeps changing the position Horton was warned that if a deal isn't agreed with Stox the fixture & fitting will be removed by 30th November These fixture & fittings were set aside to be used as & when a new stadium could be found The running costs of the stadium per year is £300,000 to which Sandhu is prepared to underwrite If a deal can be reached by tonight between the Bees & Stox Sandhu will replace everything at his own cost

  22. Correct, 2016 riders not starting 2017 will just use existing real averages, there's no other option. I see a large number of team changes in May/June
  23. If a team can cram in 4 home and 4 away fixtures in March good luck to them
  24. Must be a new foreigner for the last spot. If not then Adam Roynon or Sam Simota are the best bets
