  1. TWK is a fan of Belle Vue. What better chance to see some racing at the NSS without the fear of the black & white
  2. It's extremely obvious to all when a rider has cleared off in the distance without a care of the other 3 riders behind them. I just think a 4-3-2-0 scoring system would emphasis skill over speed. A rider with the fastest equipment isn't then necessarily the best rider for the team.
  3. Just another thought. What about the pairs point scoring system in league racing 4-3-2-0? Could this stop the guy out the gate first from flying off in the distance and force his hand in having to help his teammate who's struggling in 3rd-4th? Could the rider who wins the race be deducted a paid point for none attempt to help a teammate stuck in 4th? Just maybe little ideas like that will bring the emphasis back to what league racing is all about - 'being a team'.
  4. Anyone interested in this? Should be a bit more of a challenge than Somerset last week. Harris & Nicholls generally do very well round the AFA and Kennett and Watt have had good scores in the past so could be dangerous. We certainly will need to be on it or the Rockets could easily take a point or more away from the Stars.
  5. Belle Vue had poor teams on a poor track in a poor stadium. That's why people didn't turn up, the day of the week is irrelevant.
  6. Off the top of my head: Modernise the starting procedure with laser technology Laser lighting rigs on the infield Uptempo modern music at all times Stadium free WiFi Club apps which gives live heat by heat scores - riders stats - fans vote for rider of the night - rider / management interviews - after meeting press conferences - more visibility for sponsors Telemetry and cameras to be fitted as standard to all bikes https://www.instagram.com/p/BSeOfPkARsn/ With this, fans at home watching live matches on TV can pick a rider on the red button to ride on board with. All telemetry data recorded live onto club app rider database. Admission price example: £17 (22-69) £14 (70+) £10 (16-21) Free (u15 with adult) Season tickets prices to be set to 2 home meetings free + away fixture admission half price
  7. I disagree, how many Premiership rider's do the Elitserien? If any Brits do the Elitserien there's no extra cost to British clubs. Monday / Wednesday works best for the Premiership as Championship clubs run Thursday > Sunday. The clashes between our own leagues are more of an issue than European leagues
  8. For 2018 there's no reason why the Premiership can't have fixed race nights on Monday / Wednesday Monday:- Belle Vue (own track) Leicester (own track) Swindon (only team that has questions over availablity) Wolverhampton (rented, Monday's only) Wednesday:- King's Lynn (own track) Poole (rented, Wednesday's only) Rye House (own track) Somerset (own track) Championship clubs don't run on those 2 nights so the rider availability won't be an issue.
  9. I don't think it's just the Darcy meeting. Also releasing Chris Holder could be a factor with some too
  10. Wright came into the corner a bit to hot and completely wiped Josh out. It should have been Wright excluded.
  11. The King's Lynn promotion have warned and advised fans tonight will be a one-off as it's the first meeting of the season. Start times will now be adhered to regardless
  12. Josh was injured having a good old fashioned punch-up with Wright after their crash
  13. It's true Josh G and Wright scrapping good and proper. It's how Josh injured his hand, not the crash I want to congratulate the promotion tonight. No tractors in the middle very few grading breaks and the meeting flowed beautifully and finished by 9.45. They've also made it be known, from now on the meeting will not be delayed if people can't get to the meeting's on time.
  14. King's Lynn Kids are off school and opening night of the season so advertising should be maximised, so you would think anyway. The only thing being advertised around the town is Stock Cars for Bank Holiday weekend
  15. Championship Speedway at more expensive prices than the Premiership Un-beeeeee-lieeeeeee-vable
  16. A better bargain than standard admission WHEN a meeting gets abandoned before heat 10
  17. Just started reading the latest Speedy Star, Jon Cook must have been completely p!$$€d up when doing his Premiership review. Spat my drink out when saw King's Lynn 7th He "don't think they'll really challenge for the Play-Offs" and the team "looks a fairly average pick" The tw@ even has Somerset above us
  18. £15.79 a meeting and you haven't got the hassle of potential threat of none result rain-offs I shall be purchasing my first ever season ticket
  19. Proper interval is missing for a reason, it's not needed. TV is the reason for how I've set the schedule and every meeting should run the same. Other things can't be helped with delays, that part and parcel. The thing that grates is when run smoothly, once the previous heats riders have left the track why is the 2mins not always on straight away? No excuse for that.
  20. It's not just Simon's testimonial It's the way meetings have been run since the return to the top league. There certainly is far more faffing about than the PL days, it can only really be put down to trying to get the tills dinging through food and drink. There have been times where intervals have dragged on for near 30mins when in truth no interval is required at all. The race day schedule should be the same for all and fits in with TV too and be strictly adhered to by the clerk of the course and referee: From Ht1 2mins to Ht2 2mins - 5mins Ht2 - 5mins Ht3 - 5mins Ht4 - 5mins Break - 5mins (adverts - track grade) Ht5 - 5mins Ht6 - 5mins Ht7 - 5mins Ht8 - 5mins Break - 5mins (adverts - track grade) Ht9 - 5mins Ht10 - 5mins Ht11 - 5mins Ht12 - 5mins Break - 5mins (adverts - track grade) Ht13 - 5mins Ht14 - 5mins Ht15 - 10mins (Inc advert, heat line-up, track grade) = 1hr35mins Anyone could accept that, the obvious further delays come with the sport but when things go smoothly there's no need for meetings to go beyond that time scale.
