  1. Big Al's request doesn't need to go to that extreme. Just a simple google search brought this up from Leicester today
  2. While Poland pay the money they do it ain't gonna happen
  3. Utter nonsense. How fair would it be on the rest of the league for King's Lynn to drop Bailey for Kerr or Rye House drop Perks for Sargeant? You really think that's fair just because Coventry folded. It'll make more of a mockery of British Speedway.
  4. There could be many with the Ekstraliga looking to run meetings Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That's not overly the issue, the problem comes with their rearranged fixtures that could take place mid week. Poland are demanding from their league riders that these too are priority over any other league. Every club that has an Ekstraliga rider will be having the same issues. If it comes to the crunch and Buster says no, Holder will leave rather than be pushed as this demand from Poland is in his interest too because there's no way he'll give up the Torun position.
  5. We are talking about the same Sandhu that was so far in debt that the bank sold the stadium from underneath him right?
  6. Challenge meetings are done often but at the top 2 levels it's usually the opening meeting of a season thus bringing in decent crowds due to the winter break. Most challenge matches that take place throughout the season tend to be of NL standard. Fact, when the real stuff starts Premiership / Championship fans of the host club will not be interested. That may come across as harsh with the position Coventry are in but that's how it is.
  7. I just don't see how the challenge meetings will work!?! With no income from home meetings the finances would have to be raised by the hosting team. To make it viable, attendances would have to double to which will never be likely. I can't see 1000+ travelling Bees fans going around the country for what are in all tense and purposes pointless meetings.
  8. At the same time, if that's Sky's get-out clause they then can't stop another broadcaster taking over the TV rights
  9. Could be anything Sandhu taking over Stadium sale confirmation Planning permission granted Bees rights sold to a totally new investor Stock cars returning etc etc etc It may be totally irrelevant news, who knows.
  10. Your opinion of Justin Sedgmen is null & void just for using the term "many years ago"
  11. There's only 2 way to get Speedway back at Odsal & viable A multi millionaire owner who also bring back the Stock Cars. If 1 of those 2 elements are missing Speedway at Bradford is a none starter
  12. What do you mean? The MDL is still running according to the regulations
  13. Apologies if this is already mentioned http://www.scbgb.co.uk/regulations
  14. I've never been a fan of season tickets but this season I'm getting my first one at King's Lynn. After a long and hard thought it makes sense for me. Here's why: On average a season ticket works out about 1-2 meetings free for most clubs Rain-offs, any heats started & cancelled before heat 10 only give a discount for rearranged meetings. Season ticket holders, nothing lost. I'm at risk of losing my job so then haven't got to struggle finding cash, except for Play-Offs
  15. The GP's & SWC's commentary is on the World Feed & not BT commentary
  16. I'm not surprised by this if true. Buster has said he was looking into what hold GoSpeed has over British Speedway. Maybe this is partly to do with the BSPA disbanding of GoSpeed?!?!
  17. I'm you son and will be after 18 years worth of maintenance because of your incompetence & neglect. Happy Tuesday
  18. Brandon Estates do want out, they've already said they'd sell up. But they'll only release the land at the right price. £2m isn't going to cut it with them
  19. Thing is, King would be vital to the Aces promotion push away from home with his experience. The fixtures on a Thursday (Swindon x2) & Saturday (Leicester & Rye House x2) could be crucial.
  20. Just a thought, Does a new promoter have to buy the rights from Horton? Legally no. Horton just holds the rights to the rider assets & name. He holds no rights to where & when the Bees ride. A new club just needs to be formed, let me think......... Oh yeah, Brandon Bees Ltd. it's enough to hold the clubs rights free of charge. Any potential owners /monies raised then can be put forward to purchasing the land back from Brandon Estates. This is where the stumbling block is as Brandon Estates got the land on the cheap. I'd hazard at a guess of £4m will need to be found, this would include land purchase & the regeneration of the stadium.
  21. It's called 'trying to deflect the attention away from him.'
  22. This was last season's PL format to be used in all league this season
  23. If you heard a club has lost £2m, you'd also know which club it is so why not say?
