  1. I'd have Jack Parkinson-Blackburn in a heartbeat This kid looks a talent and being at a big track already with Sheffield and small track Birmingham places him as a very attractive choice imo
  2. I've always thought that it's a bit of a p!55 take that King's Lynn charge a £1 to sit in a seat. Much less offended to pay for parking a car as that seems to be the norm for almost any arena
  3. Why's it defeatist. It's just power going in a cycle. Maybe in another decade Poland will go bust and riders will come back. Just let Poland do what they're doing. We can work on progressing on our own and start to stock pile British riders which will then in turn reverse the dominance. Then when Poland want our boys the BSPA can dictate to them again.
  4. I really don't get why people are getting their knickers in a twist over what Poland are doing. It's nothing new. BSPA had similar policies not all that long ago that all riders had to prioritise British Speedway over other leagues. Including foreign riders own leagues. British Speedway is no longer in a position to make those demands on top riders but Poland is. It is what it is.
  5. Jack Holder gave the thumbs down on Twitter so he's not best pleased
  6. While what Matt says is what everyone is thinking, I do wonder if this is another stab at the Holder name as Chris made it quite clear there were issues behind the scenes last season.
  7. Exactly, Holder missing Somerset because of GP's is the least of our worries.
  8. Do I My opinion is it doesn't matter. Nothing to do with who says it does matter. All that matters for me is Holder should be available for all home fixtures. Guests are part of Speedway, we should be used to it by now as it's always been that way. The only way to fix the issue is to go to fixed race nights
  9. So, why will the equivalent to Holder be missing too? Only Lindgren is in the SGP that could come in as Doyle's average is to high. Somerset V King's Lynn is the only Premiership fixture on that night. I don't see a problem with the fixture arrangement at all.
  10. Agree, there's enough in that top 5 in the current format to cover poor scores from reserve. As the season goes on both Bewley and Smith will get better, especially with the brilliant home track they have. Belle Vue will go unbeaten at home if they keep the same 7 all year
  11. Yep, Belle Vue the team to beat. Great looking side
  12. Belle Vue & Somerset are the best 2 tracks in the Premiership. Leicester has had reshape so we'll see how that performs but the new shape looks good. Saddlebow race circuit has slipped big time over the last few years and become more gate and go
  13. You just need the minimum paid subscription with Sky and all the functions will be available. Skysports, Movies are unnecessary extras
  14. I'd only seen the group photo that was taken and couldn't see him in it
  15. But they don't take into consideration the NL 2.5% reduction. Dan Bewley is 3.90
  16. My eyes must be playing tricks because I couldn't see him in the group photo?!?!
  17. #WheresLambert ? If Rosco is true to his word that's him out of the GB team
  18. Still wrong imo. There will be riders that get injured in the 1st weeks of the season that would have paid out £1000's for nothing in return. Riders come and go through financial difficulty all the time, is sad but that's Speedway. The main focus should be on the club alone and nothing else
  19. I find that OTT & wrong Only 1 rider has been hit badly. 5 will have 2 teams to ride for come mid season providing they all remain uninjured for their championship sides & KB may get fixed up with Belle Vue. Sargeant is likely to find a championship slot quite quickly
  20. Agree with some that this should be seen as a new start by all for British Speedway. Maybe us fans should also take responsibility too. If the league structure works and we are happy with the racing provided we all need to continue attending trackside whether meetings are on TV or not. No club has put a reduction on admission prices so I think they should be responsible for using a % of admission prices for adding extra entertainment FOC to the fans. There is loads of stuff that can be used for give-aways and not just for kids either.
  21. It makes business sense for both parties. The way I read it is that Adrian will run the stadium but everything taken on will have to be approved by MCC. After 12 months of all is run smoothly MCC will agree terms to run the whole site. It offers protection to the new owners as to whether ventures outside of Speedway are viable. For the MCC it gives them 12 months of full visibility of the day to day running. The concern will be in 12 months if these new owners can't get a business plan together and run up huge debts the MCC will have to review the position of the stadium i.e. whether it's cost effective in the long term. The MCC and the new owners are not concerned about loses, it's expected in year 1-2. As long as all bills are paid and a % return is made from 'outside sources' the MCC will approve the new owners to move forward alone.
  22. While true Brandon is the Bees fans home. If by some miracle £4m could be raised most would prefer that spent on the existing site than a new venture
  23. It's pretty obvious what's happening here. The land owners are waiting on the sale of already built properties. Once enough are occupied and Swindon's 2017 season gets started they'll ask the new tenants about noise. Once the noise complaints start coming in it gives the builder's the power over the council to change the plans.
