King's Lynn Stars 2017
Daniel Smith replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Some people may think that's some statement but I actually agree. For Rose though, he seems to get tangled up with injuries every season. Had he not suffered injuries the last couple of years he'd be an established 2nd string going on 3rd heatleader comfortably. Lambert has got real issues with his gating ala Chris Harris, it's gonna really kill his progression if he doesn't get that sorted. With regards to Lambert also, I think he has to get away from King's Lynn while the track conditions are as they are now and get on a "real" Premiership race track. Somewhere like Somerset or Belle Vue. -

How do you think the team will look with the revised line-up 1. Troy Batchelor 7.93 2. Thomas Jorgensen 6.08 3. Kai Huckenbeck 6.17 4. Robert Lambert 7.46 5. Chris Holder 7.27 6. Lewis Rose 5.33 7. Danny Ayres 3.00 43.24 Kai & Robert get on really well so I'd certainly partner them up as they'll ride together 3 times Chris & Lewis get on really well so I'd keep that partnership getting 2 rides together. Jorgensen does gate well and looks fast which could be very important up against opposition No1's in heat 1 along side Troy and facing the opposition No3's & No5's in his other 2 races and getting heat 8. -

By the response I'm getting on Twitter it seems people are happy with what they're being served and see no wrong so it's confirmed for me 2017 IS my last season of watching the Stars. -

New Averages For 42 Point Limit

All figures are a รท1.2 of their championship figures -
Good odds I'd say. Why would he be anything else but a 7.00, done absolutely nothing in the Speedway world as yet.

New Averages For 42 Point Limit

We wouldn't be re-declaring though, just a like for like change. Jorgensen has been introduced on his Championship 7.30 average which took us to exactly 50.00. What's being said it's for Jorgensen to get a Premiership average he'd still have to do 4 home 4 away. If that's the case, we can benefit hugely imo if there's no conversion in place between the Premiership's new averages and the Championship. -

King's Lynn wouldn't do that if they could as the promotion ain't sharp enough. But if what is being said correct King's Lynn can certainly benefit from giving Jorgensen 7 matches then sack him for another 7.30 Championship rider. -

Potential thunderstorms around tapes up time tomorrow. If this does get called off, can we still have Jorgensen in the team or does a replacement then have to be sort under Porsing's new average? -
I may be alone but I don't want this kid anywhere near the King's Lynn side. He's had money thrown at him and he isn't all that. If we're to go for a young Pole, it should be Maksym Drabik.

With regards to who? Barker's average is less than Jorgensen's. -
I'm not having this "he only won because of home track advantage" nonsense, especially with regards to Cook. He's absolutely flying this season, I don't think it would have mattered where this meeting was Cook would still likely have won. Congratulations to him on being the '2017 British Speedway Champion'.

For that average it's disappointing but look at it slightly differently in that, for him to improve the team he only has to be a 5.00 - 6.00 average man compared to Porsing's 4.69. At home be has to better Porsing's 5.05, all very achievable imo. All in all, an improvement on what we had. -
It is but only because of a clashing fixture list not the fact that a rider has 2 clubs. As an example, Craig Cook riding for Belle Vue and Workington is only an issue if he's missing due to fixtures. Belle Vue fans want him. Workington fans want him. The issue is both leagues need fixed race nights. Premiership Monday, Wednesday and Thursday Championship Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday It really isn't a difficult situation to fix but the BSPA (Promoters) are a stubborn bunch.
-
Disagree, Nobody should have a problem with riders riding for 2 uk clubs, but this should definitely be restricted to riders with no European league commitments. Also, the top league should be tied to Monday, Wednesday or Thursday race night's. Rider's tied to clubs in both leagues have to commit to the top leagues fixture schedule including rearrangements.

You would of thought so if you were a promotion with a screwed on head but no, they're looking at their options when the averages change -

Exactly correct. As far as I'm concerned Porsing can go score 15 point maximums for someone else. The point is he struggles to score 4 for King's Lynn, that ain't good enough. Once Huckenbeck goes into the top 5, only having 4 rides we'll get really found out home and away. -

It's not headless chicken posting though. We were promised a different approach to the previously frustrating 2-3 seasons. They promised poor performers would not be tolerated. I was really excited for this season, so much so I'd purchased my first ever season ticket. I feel what we're getting this season is worse than previous seasons. At home we've scrapped results against Leicester and Rye House, dominated by good sides in Belle Vue and Wolverhampton. 5 riders are doing their jobs but 2 hadn't from the word go but yet again we did nothing to change it. The reserve was changed because the rider wanted out. Porsing will only be changed because he's injured. Again, as a club we're reactive rather than proactive and it's made me more frustrated than ever. -

I've had enough. Will probably see out my season ticket then that's it but I'm at the point now of just chucking it in. King's Lynn is being run by mugs. All the promises of things being better, promises of more ruthless management at the start of the season has seen us fans properly mugged off. I'm absolutely devastated where this club has gone, even the times under Wagstaff weren't as bad as this. Even when he was skint at least he still tried team changes for rider's failing to perform. -

Anyone got info on why Holder was missing for Lejonen last night? He's still down to ride for King's Lynn tonight and seems strange to have been left out.
