  1. Why would the promoters want to push our youth to the world stage, it would mean British rider's would demand higher wages. Keep them rubbish then when it comes to the World Cup British rider's will know their demands on wages to not be substantial.
  2. With you with regards to Cook as he should have been way better, at the very least on a par with Worrall which would have seen 3rd place sealed. With regards to Lambert, people keep saying he's got time on his side, no he hasn't. He's 19 and still can't gate, as harsh as it is he's just your average British Speedway double-upper. Chuganov is 17 and way better and nobody has had of him before. If anything was proven last night, we're gonna struggle for many many years for another world class rider to come through.
  3. Ok, I'm done with Tai Woffinden. Making social media all about him again when GB are racing. I will not be supporting him at Cardiff and in the future. I've tried hard to defend him in the past but his attitude during this World Cup has been to much.
  4. Is he?!? He's ripping it up in Poland and Sweden isn't he You can't judge a standard of a rider by Championship speedway
  5. The Aussie's have Average, Average, Average and Average up and coming. Australia have Doyle then nothing. Denmark, Sweden, Australia and GB just have rider's with potential, no real quality here and now.
  6. As I said a few days ago, Russia to qualify. Never in any doubt. People are concerned about the state of Danish Speedway, well, there has to be concern for Australia as Jason Doyle apart they're average.
  7. Not sure I could agree with that, taking the SWC as an example. Holder, Batchelor, Lambert & Cook were fast, whoever missed the gate the track offered nothing to allow them to catch & pass the leading rider. The AFA is now a one line, very slick, follow the leader, gaters track. Riders equipment doesn't even come into it. In terms of league matches where the riders equipment is similar, how many brilliant heat 13s and 15s have we seen?
  8. I was of the same opinion but I'm not so sure now. I'd notice recently that after a speedway meeting the track is striped and reworked for the stockcars and visa versa. So there's actually no reason why different materials can't be used for both sports and I'm guessing that's now what will happen.
  9. Problem is what he wants as chairman has to be agreed by all the other promoters. He can't just say this and that is happening and all the other promoters accept it. Saying all that, any failure to deliver improvement to the sport is a failure of him as chairman
  10. Thing is, these bikes aren't much different to our PL days and we had no problems with the deep stuff back then. The tracks only gone slick since the step back up to the top league. It may be coincidental that we had slick track specialists in the Danish riders in the team. It also may be coincidental that the Dane's finished bottom yesterday because the track was grippy, same as last year's SWC. To get the racing back to it's best at the AFA the change in shale is step 1, just need to make it deeper and tell the rider's if they don't like it to deal with it or get lost. Entertainment has to be the main focus.
  11. Here's the problem, it's not been enjoyable at all in 2017
  12. Have you been to King's Lynn this season or you just turning a blind eye to the obvious?
  13. Many are, that's great advice and exactly what King's Lynn and British Speedway can afford isn't it
  14. Now, that would be a farce but not a surprise of that was to be decided
  15. And he smashed into the safety fence after some showboating wheelies
  16. GB are officially better than Denmark on the world stage, sensational stuff I'm in stock, Hans Nielsen to get the sack I should imagine after that. For the Race-Off I don't think the Aussie's will have enough, fancy Russia to do it
  17. Nope It's grippy, what a difference it makes as it's giving racing lines all over
  18. Plenty of dirt on it too so these bikes can handle it. Bring back the deep stuff Buster
  19. All depends if he's continuing with the new shale or whether is was a specific requirement for the SWC. We'll see over the next couple of weeks I suppose.
  20. The BSPA may have gone round this system the wrong way in some areas but I believe it has pushed riders on in their development. Some riders may have gone back down a league, doubling up etc but they're all better than they were. To me, that's a successful scheme, not everyone one of our it will be a world beater but it looks them on the road to knowing what the best of the best do.
  21. Of course but that's not GB's problem, the rider has the problem but as above this thread needs to move on from Woffinden. Our current 4 have a great chance of matching last year's silver, what a brilliant achievement that would be.
  22. Looking at the teams from Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Australia and Latvia GB have a great chance for silver in the final. Poland are way ahead of the rest of the world right now and for me, the winners isn't in doubt. The difference between 2nd and 4th in the final will be not a lot, if we finish 4th, as long as a fight has been put up I'll be very proud of this "team".
