  1. Clearly there is a lot of disappointment that it looks like Lambert won't be returning to the Stars team for 2018. For me it's a good thing, barely any improvement in 2017. Started to show signs of being way above his station and his behaviour on social media kissing Holder's butt wasn't great reading. The way I see it is he's looking to join the Pirates but Chapman is sticking firm on not allowing anyone to speak to his asset. This situation may be why Ford has said he's having a few problems with signing a particular rider. 2+2 and all that. Lambert may be local, may be loved by the locals but for me he's I'll be happy to see him leave. Superstar status without the Superstar delivery isn't doing him any favours, certainly won't be missed by me.
  2. Fill in the gaps 1. 2. Thomas Jorgensen 5.93 3. 4. Lewis Kerr 5.06 5. 6. Gino Manzarez 4.19 7. Ave: 15.18 Remaining: 27.32

  4. Although Starman speaks plenty of nonsense on this forum he has actually been an absolute gem to me on the forum messenger. Offering real support for my own personal head s#!t that's going on. Starman, I sincerely wish you all the best mate
  5. The pairs scoring system should be 4-2-1-0 The rider winning should win the heat and will encourage a better battle for the minor places
  6. In name they don't look inspiring but look at the riders around on similar averages? These 2 should increase their averages no problem, have no doubt
  7. Generally around the 1st Wednesday of December
  8. Think Hans Andersen is one of the new boys.
  9. No Newman, no Ellis. Are rider's taking notes that they may only be being used as cannon fodder for later gain by Ford.
  10. I'm quietly confident that this post will be repeated I have no confidence in my own club anymore
  11. Terrible terrible team being put together. This team could have Doyle as No1, 18 max every meeting and get beaten. It's awful
  12. It's the England football team, the biggest disappointments in sporting history. Even Wembley can't sell out anymore for home games so imo, the BSPA should just put fixtures on.
  13. 100% correct. Some Speedway supporters have their heads firmly up their backsides. British Speedway can't afford Polish League style teams. Any club that attempts to try will be bankrupt mid season. A team full of superstars or National League riders is irrelevant to pulling in punters. The be all and end all is 'value for money' and the British product just doesn't offer it.
  14. According to the Peterborough thread Buster has been promoted to the SCB as well as BSPA Chairman.
  15. Jason Doyle alone won't get me back on the terraces. Just can't be excited by the prospect. There needs to be far more on offer from the club as a whole.
  16. Premiership clubs need 4 promoters just to stand a chance against the Championship
  17. To be given the nickname "Hollywood" before he's done anything in the sport says a lot about his character. The way he's turned out has been very disappointing. It's definitely not a great imagine having Mr Average driving around in a Merc then telling people he can't afford a new bike. No logic, totally lacks professionalism.
  18. Nope, he meant Sky. BT had the costs covered by Sky who paid out of their contract a season early.
  19. What is this thing with THJ? He's a bag of bent rusty nails
  20. Grading systems are ridiculous. It would guarantee a more lopsided league than ever before. A switched on management team would still use a riders average for picking them. You'd also need an average system to fit riders into those categories. From your grading system put a team together and then explain how and why you come to the conclusion it would be a league winning team?!?
  21. Thats why I don't agree with the 1 over 8. I'd rather trust Andersen as my teams No1 than I would Bjerre or Morris. One of those 2 will be unemployed in the 2018 Premiership. 2 teams will run without an 8 pointer and 1 has an assessed 8 pointer.
