  1. There's nothing in that AGM either in trying to reduce admissions costs, the biggest subject supporters talk about. So, have they really listened at all?
  2. Have you missunderstood? We can have 1 rider over an 8 average but I think you may be right with no Iversen. Wednesday's may just be the cause.
  3. It's about what's in the improvement plan that Buster (yet again) has promised But I does look like the choice has been taken out of my hands anyway
  4. Pretty sure King's Lynn would be a Thursday race night but would prefer a Monday night. Can't make Thursday's
  5. That's about right, make ourselves look stupid to the world instead of the people running the sport fixing their ills and just pocketing the extra income
  6. Apart from the term sued, more like the uncle put in an injuries claim on his nephews insurer. A claim everyone involved in a road traffic incident is entitled to whether it's family or not. Effectively to no financial damage to your friend.
  7. What it says to me is that there's zero changes of a reduction in admission prices but an increase is coming our way.
  8. Main sponsor and his already agreed contract gives nothing away
  9. Not exactly a true statement. People weren't interested because the NL was our 2nd team and many couldn't justify the extra £12. If the NL standards were the top league at £8-£10 attendance would double with ease. As pointed out a few times, the riders mean nothing to attracting new fans. Jason Doyle and Josh Bailey are the same to them. Us existing fans know most of NL riders as we've become accustomed to them being thrown in the deep end recently in the top league. To fix this sport is all in the promoters hands, losing supporters is their problem. Promoters can blame other people as much as they like as it falls on deaf ears. At the end of the day, if a club closes due to a lack of supporters through the turnstiles then that is firmly placed on their doorstep and theirs alone.
  10. 2. That's where the BSPA and all clubs owners need to actually do some work in the local communities to counteract No's 3, 4 & 5 and stop threatening and blaming fans for clubs closing down. They have a responsibility to attract supporters, deliver a VFM product and work hard to maintain that support. The days of "use it or lose it" threats are long gone as it's so much easier to find other thing's to do.
  11. I don't agree at all. Attendances have only reduced imo mainly due to the admission increases, only a small fraction due to rider standards. if admission was rolled back to £10 in the top league the attendances would rise, I have no doubt.
  12. How I'm reading JC's comments is that no riders should be exluded from racing. I believe he's showing where British Speedway is and where it needs to be to survive. Rider's like Harris, Nicholls, Lambert etc, to gain a contract in British Speedway will need reduce their demands to that of a 6 pointer. Any refusal will see them out of work and for the benefit of British Speedway rightly so. As I'd mentioned on another thread I'm fed up with rider's saying they're having a tough time of it yet buy brand new equipment unnecessarily year in year out. For me, the pay rate should be the same for all rider's in the 1-5 and a third of that pay rate for reserves as they can get 7 rides. i.e. Premiership 1-5 = £100 Reserves = £35 Championship 1-5 = £50 Reserves = £15 The better riders will still earn the most money but for British Speedway to survive the day of rider demands have to be over.
  13. My KLStars team 1. Kim Nilsson 7.13 2. Josh Auty 4.50 3. Tomas Jorgensen 5.85 4. Lewis Kerr 5.06 5. Danny King 6.66 6. Simon Lambert 3.24 7. Nathan Greaves 2.54 34.98
  14. There's a problem right there. Why do the average rider sell off the previous years equipment to buy brand new for the new season? If maintained properly frames, forks & rims can last years, same with engines. As far as I'm concerned, if a rider says they're struggling financially after wasting money on new year in year out, well feck em.
  15. Tell me about it. At no point would Craig get any negatives from me, he clearly has some issues to get over but you'll still have the usual "just snap out of it" brigade chipping away on this thread Of course it's relevant to the thread, people are saying Craig's purposely skiving meetings. It was pointed out that nobody knows Craig's issues because not all medical reasons have to be physical.
  16. Craig's reply: http://cc111.co.uk/craig-makes-a-statement-regarding-his-health/ Seems to have accepted the ban but is making clear he's genuinely suffering from illness
  17. Can't be that role as he'll have an attachment to the Stars so hardly an outsider - independent which is 'bad' for the sport in this country
  18. It's not a joke at all. Rider's who doubled up in the 2nd division in 2016 started on those average in the top league due to the format change. This is why the riders that only rode the top division had their averages loaded to "level things up" and were eligible to also ride the 2nd tier. 2018 is back to actual averages.
  19. To be honest, I'm not at all surprised by some of the abuse. Fans have been showing their concern for the sport for many years, sometimes it takes a bit of effin' n' jeffin' to get people to start listening. It's either listen or watch the fans fade further and 100% the promoters are going with the latter.
  20. There in a nutshell is why I'm not returning to the AFA, what a deluded old man he's become
  21. 1. Iversen 9.04 2. Kerr 5.06 3. King 6.66 4. Jorgensen 5.93 5. Smolinski 7.56 6. Auty 4.68 7. ??? 3.07
  22. When you realise that the fines have come from the SCB you'll then see it has nothing to do with Buster Chapman
  23. Fed up with being taken advantage of. For me it's about enticing fans back and not expecting. 2018 is just TV / SGP Speedway for me
