  1. That's exactly it. If those past businesses are willing to return then they would need to have their name within the fight with the Speedway. Then past accounting becomes viable along side future accounting. It will become extremely difficult to find 'new' businesses to take on the fight. I know it comes across as a doom merchant but I think it's fair for fans to understand the challenges of a standalone fight. Going back to the original post, regarding what are AEPG doing. If they can prove Peterborough 'offers nothing' to the community outside of match days & away from the EoES, Peterborough Speedway absolutely 100% needs past & future businesses alongside. AEPG are looking for those final nails
  2. You're right, but only if all the businesses help fight the cause & highlight the effects moving has had on their businesses & show they had intended to stay. You can't use historical figures of many businesses to fight a standalone case if these businesses have relocated successfully. Peterborough Speedway are flogging a dead horse going at this alone.
  3. Here's the problem, you can't use past accounting as an argument for viability as all those businesses & events have moved on. You need future accounting from businesses & events that want to come in as the land is. As I said, Speedway needs help, you're flogging a dead horse going alone. Peterborough's situation isn't comparable to Coventry & Oxford as they have the multi-use of the facility. With the land vastness of the EoES, Peterborough cannot argue the viability of the stadium & 'fictional' accounting without other businesses on board. Or the other option is a simple one, find a multi millionaire to buy the land from EEAS
  4. Don't disagree but Peterborough Speedway group desperately need to get people that sees the venue as a 'viable use' on board asap. Going alone is just flogging a dead horse. Do Truckfest care they're gone, does the Caravan Club care they're gone, does EquiFest?? Whilst things are difficult for EEAS & AEPG right now, they know they can bide their time
  5. And I agree with that. The problem there is the landowners don't want other events, Monster Trucks, Stock Cars, TruckFest etc. The only product fighting to remain is the 'not cost effective' Speedway. The only way Peterborough Speedway will return to the Showground is if the promoter / owner (whoever that ends up being) pays significant yearly rent & organise events outside of the sport to try recouping the outlay.
  6. Manchester United & Peterborough Panthers is comparable with the original point. The discussion was with regards to the use of grounds & what Peterborough Panthers offers to the local community. The answer as a whole is nothing & you tried to argue that football stadiums / clubs are the same, it's absolutely not. Many football clubs, even at 'None League' level offer far far more to the community than any British Speedway club. Why should the land owners keep a stadium functional for Peterborough Panthers just for, at most, 30 days a year?? Coventry has a much better argument due to it's multi use functionality with Speedway, Stockcars & potentially Greyhounds again. Peterborough doesn't offer that.
  7. Is this a serious post?? Football stadiums are 24 days for 90mins?? Club shops 7 days a week, executive suites 7 days a week, 7 days a week restaurants, function suites, stadium tours, charity work, 100s of office staff required 7 days a week.
  8. Seems reasonably simple. Basically asking if the Speedway brings anything to the community outside the sport excluding match days. Schools, charitable work, community gatherings etc. It's a fair argument to the use of grounds as Speedway is once a fortnight for 6 months.
  9. It is ridiculous but have rider's ever had their averages increased?? Also to a half point figure of 7.50?? Absolutely, Birmingham's management have requested it rather than the rider's being given it. The numbers just make no sense at all, Pawlicki & Milik are nowhere near 7.50 rider's
  10. That's not a problem for Belle Vue. Do enough for top 4 & strengthen up in August. Changing early isn't necessary if the team can at least win at home
  11. Brum may get 4 reasonable gates when Woffinden & Sayfutdinov roll in to town but the other clubs offer nothing for the home fans to get up for if they're getting wolloped week in week out
  12. As mentioned before, it's so better guests are available when they go AWOL for whatever random reason. Laguta / King's Lynn set a precedent for this last season
  13. There won't be that class of rivalry between British rider's again. Once British rider's reach a level of real quality they go off to Sweden & Poland to form 'rivalries'. The British Final has no relevance to the top guys which is where Nicholls & Harris first came to a head. It's just not there anymore
  14. The rule judgements on averages has become an absolute joke this season. In real money, Birmingham are 4.60 under the average. Absolutely embarrassing team building. I'd be concerned about Birmingham's sustainability in the top division & whether they'll see out the season. Absolutely shocking team building
  15. At least us King's Lynn fans can get the party poppers out already for finishing 6th.
  16. The only way to be better is Zmarzlik & Lindgren
  17. Early start to the New Years Celebrations is it? Jeez, that'll be some take if sober
  18. We used to get chat like this with Sandu, Ford, Rathbone etc. Seen all this before. Guess what happens next?? That's right, they're booted out by stadium owners or the establishment eventually. If you want to chat big about your finances, build a safe & secure track for the clubs future first & foremost rather ego boosting waste on GP rider's. It's absolutely horrific this stuff gets dished out, building up the fans only then to see their clubs gone within 5yrs of this such nonsense
  19. Pole's in Poland = full throttle Brum = Slow motion racing A winning home team is a must but at the same time, in general, it's never the case for the bottom 2 teams. If the Pole's get to grips with Brum I don't think they're a bottom 2 club. Oxford look horrific to me & King's Lynn risking injured & injury prone rider's could bite them hard yet again.
  20. If Brum get both Pawlicki's, I don't think it's a bad side in general. The interesting part will be whether these Pole's will be happy & comfortable trundling around at half speed
  21. That's absolutely it. Why would you hand over ownership of something of no value to which you've spent 10s of £1000s on, only for the new owner to potentially build (exaggeration I know) a 10,000 seater stadium & have a sell-on value of £ms?? If the new consortium find acres of land & get building regulations approved, Peterborough Speedway's licence would then have market value & a rightful return for Chapman.
  22. I've added Lampart as a 7.00. It has to be with the points left, leaving room for 8.00ish & 7.50ish rider's.
  23. How would many line the team up?? Getting the team in the right order as we have rider's coming back from big bangs last season. 1. Tobiasz Musielak 8.69 2. Michael Palm Toft 5.13 3. Vadim Tarasenko 6.94 4. Benjamin Basso 6.25 5. Niels Kristian Iversen 6.64 6. Patryk Wojdylo 5.00 7. Anders Rowe R/S For me the engine room of No3 & No4 is so important so I'd make sure it's an injury free pairing home & away. Iversen's experience as a heatleader (although injured) should be able to hold his own in his first 3 rides at No5. Musielak should offer a bit of protection to Palm-Toft at No2 until (if) he can get back to full fitness.
