  1. 100% correct. Some Speedway supporters have their heads firmly up their backsides. British Speedway can't afford Polish League style teams. Any club that attempts to try will be bankrupt mid season. A team full of superstars or National League riders is irrelevant to pulling in punters. The be all and end all is 'value for money' and the British product just doesn't offer it.
  2. According to the Peterborough thread Buster has been promoted to the SCB as well as BSPA Chairman.
  3. Jason Doyle alone won't get me back on the terraces. Just can't be excited by the prospect. There needs to be far more on offer from the club as a whole.
  4. Premiership clubs need 4 promoters just to stand a chance against the Championship
  5. To be given the nickname "Hollywood" before he's done anything in the sport says a lot about his character. The way he's turned out has been very disappointing. It's definitely not a great imagine having Mr Average driving around in a Merc then telling people he can't afford a new bike. No logic, totally lacks professionalism.
  6. Nope, he meant Sky. BT had the costs covered by Sky who paid out of their contract a season early.
  7. What is this thing with THJ? He's a bag of bent rusty nails
  8. Grading systems are ridiculous. It would guarantee a more lopsided league than ever before. A switched on management team would still use a riders average for picking them. You'd also need an average system to fit riders into those categories. From your grading system put a team together and then explain how and why you come to the conclusion it would be a league winning team?!?
  9. Thats why I don't agree with the 1 over 8. I'd rather trust Andersen as my teams No1 than I would Bjerre or Morris. One of those 2 will be unemployed in the 2018 Premiership. 2 teams will run without an 8 pointer and 1 has an assessed 8 pointer.
  10. It is a bad thing purely by looking at the SEC, Pairs and U21's meetings. Very poorly organised for World TV viewing.
  11. Poole bashing for no reason what so ever. Pathetic. It was done by a vote. They're all as untrustworthy as the next promoter.
  12. Think after last season, if Iversen isn't interested then Buster is gonna go without a true number 1. Team will look something like: 1. Hans Andersen 7.75 2. Lewis Rose 5.25 3. Tomas Jorgensen 5.93 4. Michael Palm-Toft 5.57 5. Robert Lambert 7.36 6. Lewis Kerr 5.06 7. Josh Auty 4.68 Ave: 41.60
  13. There's nothing in that AGM either in trying to reduce admissions costs, the biggest subject supporters talk about. So, have they really listened at all?
  14. Have you missunderstood? We can have 1 rider over an 8 average but I think you may be right with no Iversen. Wednesday's may just be the cause.
  15. It's about what's in the improvement plan that Buster (yet again) has promised But I does look like the choice has been taken out of my hands anyway
  16. Pretty sure King's Lynn would be a Thursday race night but would prefer a Monday night. Can't make Thursday's
  17. That's about right, make ourselves look stupid to the world instead of the people running the sport fixing their ills and just pocketing the extra income
  18. Apart from the term sued, more like the uncle put in an injuries claim on his nephews insurer. A claim everyone involved in a road traffic incident is entitled to whether it's family or not. Effectively to no financial damage to your friend.
  19. What it says to me is that there's zero changes of a reduction in admission prices but an increase is coming our way.
  20. Main sponsor and his already agreed contract gives nothing away
  21. Not exactly a true statement. People weren't interested because the NL was our 2nd team and many couldn't justify the extra £12. If the NL standards were the top league at £8-£10 attendance would double with ease. As pointed out a few times, the riders mean nothing to attracting new fans. Jason Doyle and Josh Bailey are the same to them. Us existing fans know most of NL riders as we've become accustomed to them being thrown in the deep end recently in the top league. To fix this sport is all in the promoters hands, losing supporters is their problem. Promoters can blame other people as much as they like as it falls on deaf ears. At the end of the day, if a club closes due to a lack of supporters through the turnstiles then that is firmly placed on their doorstep and theirs alone.
