  1. Iversen has done enough over the years to earn a bit of slack. This year though, Iversen's probably happy to just pick up a bit of extra pocket money from British Speedway.
  2. What do you think as a fan watching bikes bounce around the track?? What the rider's think is irrelevant as they're being paid. The sport needs to attract fans, not rider's opinions. To watch that every week I'd rather go to Alton Towers and enjoy the rollercoasters myself.
  3. Doesn't look as though the track improvements have improved much. Seeing bikes bounce around the track is horrendous.
  4. Without Lambert the team is and has been $#!+. Go back through the seasons meetings he's single handily kept us in meetings. He's averaging 9.46 this season. The next best average is Iversen with 6.60 then Kerr 6.30. The team is performing as 1 heatleader, 3 2nd strings, 2 reserves and a wobbling Dane. If people are happy for that to carry on, fair enough.
  5. Poole clearly on the up, heading for that pre-season predicted Play-Off place. King's Lynn on the slide to the pre-season predicted wooden spoon
  6. 1. Iversen 9.04 2. Starke 5.08 3. Proctor 5.50 4. Kerr 5.52 5. Lambert 7.71 6. Auty 4.68 7. Manzerez 4.46 Redeclare, problems solved
  7. After last year I can't see how the promotion can be trusted, they haven't done a very good job so far in 2018 to change that either. So far in 2018, any issues that arise always is someone else's fault. Picking 4 Dane's on a Wednesday race night is the Stars management fault, end of. Palm Toft and Andersen were announced in their Danish clubs fixtures, yet on Tuesday the Stars add Palm Toft to the line-up. Who's to blame? The Stars management obviously. The Stars management have yet again promised that the Danish rider's won't be missing any more meetings. That is nonsense. If these Danish clubs pick up injuries our rider's WILL be recalled. The Stars management need to stop playing games with the supporters, they have 2 options. Just admit they'll have to deal with the challenges for the remainder of the season or change the rider's. To say they've had been promised that these rider's won't be missing any more meetings is nigh on ridiculous and naive.
  8. I just don't get why the management are so slow with these clashes when we knew Monday. Abysmal way of running the club personally. With regards to the future promise, isn't that what was given before yet Danish clubs (rightly so) are still picking their rider's. Personally, apart from Iversen the other Danes are replaceable and should be so and then we would be able to move on with a tight knitted team.
  9. Kasper Andersen is also scheduled for Wednesday for GSK Liga. Guests required for Palm Toft and Andersen.
  10. Haven't filled in a programme for 10+ years. Apart from the scorecard it's pages of adverts. Waste of a couple of quid.
  11. Doesn't the best rider just come down to opinion. Belle Vue fans will say Collins, King's Lynn fans are likely to say Lee, Wolves fans say Woffinden etc etc. For me I can't compare riders from many year gone by as I've never seen or remember them riding. Certainly since I've started watching Speedway (1989) Tai Woffinden by far is the greatest ever British rider of all time. That's my opinion, it can't be right or wrong, it's just an opinion
  12. For me the attendances were only poor because of people's long standing opinion of pairs. Plus the abysmal team pairs event run by SEC. If anything, the SON is new with low expectations so was always going to be a tough sell. Give the competition a few tweaks (scrap warnings for semi & final and top 2 into a 2 heat race off, call it the World Cup) and this pairs tournament will take off. If there's anything learnt, this meeting over 2 day delivered exceptional, out of this world racing.
  13. The only thing that needs to be said over these last two day and for Great Britain
  14. Pairs and individuals in the same heat. Example: Heat 1: GB Woffinden & Lambert v Sweden Lindgren v Poland Janowski. Heat 2: Sweden Lindgren & Lindback v Russia Sayfutinov v Denmark Iversen etc etc
  15. Why should the track be how it was with the Poles practicing on it all week. How would that be fair on everyone else. What a grumpy old tw@ It's like they don't want any competition at all.
  16. We'll see after tonight. If it's not a sell out then the SON may as well of run the 2 day SON final at Belle Vue.
  17. If last night proved anything it's that the 4-3-2-0 SHOULDN'T be brought back. There has been some brilliant racing under the standard system with rider's fighting hard to get to the front. With the 4-3-2-0 rider's would just sit 2nd & 3rd and any decent racing would be null and void. Never should the 4-3-2-0 scoring system be used again.
  18. Isn't it also beautiful to see Australia struggle
  19. Tonight, I think everyone has seen the night Robert Lambert came of age. He put some left some real scalps behind.
  20. Woffinden and Lambert were nothing short of sensational tonight. It's been a while but tonight they had me on the edge of my seat shouting and screaming. The only slight negative, the lack of respect to the efforts of Lambert by Nigel and Kelvin. Tai this, Tai that was a bit tiresome.
  21. Seems the same kind of situation that Martin Smolinski is the favourite regardless of form in the same way Chris Harris always got the pick regardless of form.
  22. Absolutely...... Head coach with burger and chips will get you nowhere.
