That's right, let's have a forum where everyone can tickle each others butt hole One thing for sure is I fully accept other people's opinions, what isn't acceptable is dictatorship that we must talk all things rosy. What I don't like is seeing is the management taking no responsibility for the issues they find themselves in. They take to social media and issue press releases blaming all and sundry for all issues. They lap up all the kiss a$$ responses etc etc. Yes I have been a whining old biatch for about 18 months but that's because I DO care. I was a very positive supporter for over 30 years. When seeing the management being irresponsible and in denial of issues being there own fault I'm gonna say so. The club and British Speedway as a whole is on a very slippery slope, it's time for those with there heads buried in the sand to realise the problems the sport is in. The more people just continue on the quicker Speedway in this country dies. -

Yes it was but after the AGM, knowing Denmark takes priority on Wednesday's we went on to continue signing more Dane's. When Rose left we then signed another one. So, this current situation is the fault of the management team. No if or buts, it's their fault. Then came the "fake news" that there will be no more clashes with Denmark. Who gives any British club the right to dictate that to Denmark. This really is a reap what you sow situation and I don't feel sorry for the management at all. The only people I feel for are the fans who have been mugged again. Yet still some can't bring themselves to admit the club is at fault for this whole sorry mess. This has been going on for a few seasons now at King's Lynn and no doubt come October we'll get another....... "The club would like to share our sincere apologies to all our supporter for the way the season ended. I can categorically place on record we're working behind the scenes to make sure these unusual event never happen again. We hope you can forgive and move on with us into the new 2019 season." blah blah blah blah. It's the same old same old. No doubt come 2019 I'll be told to get over it 'again'. -

The reason we're not getting fixtures in is because the club are avoiding clashes with Denmark. Nothing to do with FRN as other clubs are not having the same fixture pile up. The management are to blame fully for the situation, even without FRN last season we had the farce of 2 panic double headers in 2017. They chose to use Danish rider's, reap what you sow. -

About £42 down on those that paid on the gate. This season's season ticket holder's are also down, currently £27 on those that pay at the gate. Then we're likely to see the Leicester fixture in September become a double header due to lack of available dates so that's likely to increase further. -

I find those comments from Buster extremely embarrassing. When you see how he's operating his own club he's got no chance of leading other's in the correct way. -

Last season as a season ticket holder I was proper ripped off and I have a right to be bitter. This season the management has made promise after promise for things they shouldn't be promising. They think they can call the shots on the Dane's own rider's. Who do they really think they are??? They're now reaping what they sow. They were warned but think they knew better. I have NO sympathy for the management of King's Lynn Stars. -

You can now see why they've gone with R/R but any incidents in the first meeting then a farce will prevail. Maybe have a guest for the first meeting, then if they get through 15 heats unscathed run R/R in the 2nd meeting. -

Yes he will and the only thing to save him will be the weather. Personally, I hope the weather is glorious and he does lose money hand over fist, it's not short of what the management deserve over the last couple of seasons. Treat fan's with respect and they will get that in return. Treat fan's with contempt, expect $#!+ to fly back in your face. -

6 teams riding in the Danish league. 6 Premiership teams also riding so guests will be impossible to find, no doubt Poole have already booked their guests too. If rider's have a choice whether to be at King's Lynn or Denmark what would you choose? A possibility of 12 rides in 1 night or just 6 in Denmark. It wouldn't surprise me if tight a$$ Buster charges £27 to get in and has Iversen missing. Cha Ching £££££££ -

That's the risk many people just won't take. If you're a couple with kids £54 is excessive for league Speedway. -

Because it's only this season Denmark has priority on any of their teams rider's on a Wednesday. Previously Danish rider's only had to race in 25% of their league fixtures to maintain their DMU licence. In seasons past Iversen would race mainly Friday's in his home country, now if called upon he has to race regardless. -

Daniel Smith replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Personally won't do a double header again anywhere if over £20. The 2nd meeting 9/10 times turns into a fiasco. I couldn't care less what the riders get paid etc as it's about value for money to the fans. For everyone's interest, would have been there Monday and costs pending would have been there for this one as the other half and her lad are Wolverhampton fans. -

The answer to your question is there's far to many Danish rider's in the Premiership and clubs won't run on a Wednesday because these rider's would be missing -

Daniel Smith replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's only King's Lynn that's playing up with 5 remaining home fixtures. Somerset have 5 remaining also which they have sorted apart from one. Guess which club is holding that situation up? No prizes for the correct answer Every other Premiership team have 3 or less home fixtures left so no problems for them. I'm fully expecting Wednesday 5th September to also be a double header for King's Lynn again Leicester. -
Adding a 1 week extension onto the cut-off date'
Daniel Smith replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The season needs to start by March 1st. Run the Ben Fund meeting on that day every year then every team has fixtures by March 2nd. September 15th the cut off for league fixtures. This should be rigid, never altered. From March 2nd > May 31st every club must have 1 home fixture a fortnight minimum scheduled. From June 1st > August 31st every club must have a home fixture schedule weekly. This includes leaving dates open for rain-offs on "off race nights". There is absolutely NO excuse for running out of dates and needing double headers. All rider's should be contracted and available to race British Premiership Speedway every Monday and/or Wednesday, (possibly Thursday and/or Friday in 2019). If away teams do not have a fixture planned on an available rescheduled date by the home team the date CANNOT be refused by the away team. People blame fixed race night's for the problem but the issue is with fixture planning and the rider's the clubs have employed. We've had this problem year on year, long before fixed race night's even existed. Fixed race night's ain't the problem, Sweden and Poland manage to get it sorted. -
King's Lynn v Wolves 22/08/18 DOUBLE HEADER
Daniel Smith replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
And the fault of that lays with the promotion. King's Lynn knew when they came out the AGM fixed race night were to be Monday and Wednesday's. At the end of the AGM we only had Jorgensen signed. The signing of Iversen was up in the air as he wasn't sure of a British League return. By mid December the club had their 2-7 chosen, our popular No1 was still uncertain. As we entered the new year Iversen puts pen to paper, so that 3 Dane's signed knowing Denmark takes priority on Wednesday's. Initially we had 3 Dane's so we knew racing Wednesday's could be problematic enough. Then Rose left and we employed Palm Toft adding to the issue. Now further into the season we're running a double header because rider's ain't available on Wednesday's. Fixed race night's HAVE NOT caused the problem. Having Dane's in the team knowing full well Denmark has priority IS THE PROBLEM, i.e. no fixture tonight. The blame is firmly at the door of the management and not the Championship clubs because they wanted to keep Thursday's. Going OFF race night also doesn't seem to be a problem for other clubs to try and fulfill their fixtures but we can't seem to be able to manage that option either. To now hear we're being awkward to other teams for our away fixtures is nothing short of appalling. The club IS being run appallingly and the issues we're running in to are all the club's management's own doing. The blame cannot be placed elsewhere. The whole atmosphere had been very positive for a couple of months then the same problems rear their ugely head again. Not just British Speedway but King's Lynn as a club really do have some sorting out to do.
