Exactly, so why recall Andersen now?? There's no time left in the season to get race fit and improve himself and the team. It's just not logical to bring him back. Maybe Simon ain't the right man but I feel for the team @No7 it should be anyone but Andersen. A backward step this late in the season.

It didn't add anything. Once done a few times it's very very boring. Nothing beats all the bikes on the track at the same time during parade. How about having the both teams reserves start from the tapes. 5 meters back are the No2 & 4's. Another 5 meters back are the No'3 and 5's. 2 meters behind them are the No'1. That'll be entertainment

Poole v Kings Lynn. Prem B. 1st August 2018

Even if Robert goes through the card and scores 18, can't see the Stars getting within 20 points of the Pirates. -
Don't disagree but what we have with Andersen is exactly the same we had with Porsing, barely improves through the season but we continue with, just Andersen is a lot less of a "Big Time Charlie". To make the Play-Offs / win the league we need to make home wins far more convincing. Andersen's coming back from injury also so I just don't see the logic in bringing him back in.

That's the thing that's drove me bonkers, the AFA can be and should be a special place to watch Speedway. Unfortunately the place has gone delusional, people just don't see no wrong. Anyone to call last night a good meeting clearly doesn't understand what Speedway's all about. I dare some to fill in their programme one week after the first 2 corners and see if much changes. It is a fact that the racing is very boring 90% of the time, we have an owner and a track curator who's delusional over what is being delivered to the public as entertainment. I think the racing now at the AFA is that bad, I'd be more entertained watching Speedway at Lakeside.

The continuing decline of Speedway
Daniel Smith replied to wealdstone's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Actually, football is having a similar problem to Speedway in that younger fans are not coming through the turnstiles. The average age of fans going to Premier League matches is 42 and is increasing. Compared to the season before the Premier League was born the average age was 30. The top 2 divisions are pricing families out of the market, relying heavily on the merchandise, sponsorship and television markets for income. It's expected that over the next 10 years the admission prices will only increase by 4% on season 2017/18. But by season 2027/28 the average age of fans is predicted to rise by 15% to just over 48. Clubs are being pressurised to reduce turnstile costs to encourage under 25's but many are not interested, instead increasing the numbers of corporate packages available. If things continue in the current trend, by 2035 the Premier League is to be played out to half empty stadiums or even, majority corporate venues -

55-35 to the Stars - Poole are S#!+ -
Agree with regards to Stefan but always gets himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. A quality rider constantly on the injury list. I personally think it would be madness to bring Andersen back.
-
You are joking I hope. Andersen averaged 2 from 3 home fixtures and coming back from injury. S.Lambert is averaging 3.20 from 2. Bringing Andersen back is suicide with home wins soooooo vitally important to making the Play-Offs.

Agree, NO KENNETH BJERRE

The new averages are out and we're below the 42.50 average. We're on 41.85 giving .65 to play with. A perfect fit would be to release Garrity 5.45 for Erik Riss 6.10. This will put Palm Toft down to reserve. We'd have to wait until Wednesday to do the change but it's certainly one that would put King's Lynn in a stronger position. R.Lambert 8.58 Riss 6.10 Proctor 6.25 Jorgensen 5.78 Iversen 7.15 Palm Toft 5.64 S.Lambert 3.00 Ave 42.50 = Perfect

King's Lynn's to throw away. If our rider's do their jobs this will be a comfortable home 3 points. 55 - 35 Just to add though, the score doesn't reflect whether the racing will be good or bad, just the Rebels losing Doyle could be the difference in being close or a thrashing. For me, Fricke is a poor guest.

Where was I being negative?!? I simply placed a statement to a poster celebrating an outstanding meeting by having a pop at us who don't enjoy King's Lynn as much as we used to. As I've said many time, I hope those that attend enjoy themselves and continue to get out of it what I once did for may of years, doesn't mean I can't have an opinion or if I do to just tow the party line. Just so you understand, if you don't understand the quote - 1-2 good meetings doesn't make £400+ a year worth while.

He's never gonna pull up trees but at home he will cause upsets. Winning home meetings are of the up most important to making the Play-Offs and he's delivered, far more so than Andersen. It helps the team massively that he can gate, even if he ends up at the back he can certainly help the team get 3-3's by just being a nuisance out the gate. I hope the club keep Simon for the remainder of the season
