Andersen can't come back in. If Simon was still riding on a 28 day injury contract then Riss couldn't be in the team as they'd of had to use Andersen's 4.00 average for team building. This would have put us over the points limit. To have Riss in the team we have to continue with Simon or someone else on the same or lower average.

An "outside the box" idea. Rolling starts?!? Most of the damage caused to equipment is at the start. So, from the start, rider's line-up as normal from gates 1>4. A dude on a scooter in front of the gates takes off, the rider's follow behind for 1 lap, on lap 2 the scooter pulls off at any point, then the racing starts and it's 4 laps of racing.

I'd like to think my tweet to Dale may of had an influence in the decision.
-
I agree. They got both decisions right. Tried something new in the hot laps and then cancelled them, they didn't add much to the meeting.

Poole v Kings Lynn. Prem B. 1st August 2018
Daniel Smith replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I like the fact that Poole fans, especially Shovlar think I'm bitter with defeat I'm not very complimentary of King's Lynn this year, to spell it out, the racing at King's Lynn is s#!+e, the owner I have no confidence in and only Lambert and Proctor are the only 2 rider's I like in the team. I'd personally drop all the Dane's. So, I'm not one of those blinkered fans Shovlar talks about. Poole deserved the win, we deserved the thrashing, Poole should top the table and win the Play-Offs at a canter. I have no problem with Poole's team changes etc etc which I've defended Poole for. This season Poole have done thing's the right way and deserve every success this season. BUT It's absolutely disgraceful to think that using waste oil and contaminate the environment for binding shale. I've never heard of it done before and I'd certainly be on the case of every other club that does. There is tonnes of evidence that this was done on purpose and it should not be allowed to be swept under the carpet. With a water table, Poole Speedway are contaminating the water, it's disgusting and should be flagged up, and the statement from Poole Speedway regarding the clean up is frankly embarrassing. They were caught red handed, have no permit to use waste oil, should absolutely be fined accordingly. -

Why in your opinion was Robert wrong to put it on social media?? It's illegal to dispose of waste oil on any land without a permit, should never be kept secret if seen. -

It's called, covering their ar$€ because they do not have a permit to use waste oil. -
Belle Vue v King's Lynn 06/08/18

What's the relevance of last night to this meeting?? -
There will always be backhanded payments. But for me, it's more important that rider's are paid. To make sure rider's are paid correctly and on time is for the BSPA to set up a central bank account. Payment to this account will be via the referee's score chart, then rider's paid accordingly, directly from the BSPA central bank account.

Budgeting is so easy in Speedway but you'll never get Promoters, Rider's and fan's agreeing. Clubs should budget to an average of 55 points paid per meeting, this includes bonus points. Every rider paid by points scored and the whole 1-7 per point money is the same @ £100pp. £100 x 55 points x 2 (home and away meeting) = £11000 ÷ £15 admission (no concessions) = 733 paying adults (21yo and over) Then add as a bonus income children between 0-5 free, 6-16 £5, 17-21 £9.

Belle Vue v King's Lynn 06/08/18
Daniel Smith replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I genuinely believe this is 1 away fixture the Stars can win if Proctor and Jorgensen are fit. This is Riss's first meeting around the NSS & Worrall isn't 100% fit. -
Poole v Kings Lynn. Prem B. 1st August 2018
Daniel Smith replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What's to debate. People watched a container of waste oil being tipped on to the track. It is illegal to do without an environmental permit. Do Poole Speedway have the correct permit to tip waste oil to mix with shale?? Poole have admitted it WASN'T a tractor leak and TIPPED ON to bind shale. Again, illegal without a permit. -

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/manage-waste-on-land-guidance-for-land-managers "Keep hazardous waste to a minimum. Mixing hazardous waste with non-hazardous waste is illegal unless you have a permit covering this." Does Poole have the correct Environmental Permit to mix oil with shale, it is illegal to do so. -

Well they did and Poole Keith watched them tip it out from a container. What don't you get about that? -

Read Poole Kieth's post above. He clearly stats he watch the oil tipped from a container. It's illegal and Lambert's right to criticise -

So, Lambert's tweet is accurate. Surely he deserves an apology from the Poole fans. He's right, it's a disgrace and illegal to contaminate any grounds with oil. His comments are clearly not about the racing on the track but rider's having to use oil catchers. -
And totally boring for the spectators.

No excuses, that's embarrassing -
I know some rider's and fan's laughed at it but 2nd start line I thought was a great inclusion. With the tires on that line it was so much easier for the start marshall to line rider's up and for the referee to spot the rider rolling forward or back. I don't get why this has been removed this year.

The 2 minute Polish system
Daniel Smith replied to mike1944's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I think the centre green rule is just for riding the bike. I believe all rider's can get off and push their bikes across. Just for entertainment reasons I'd change the 2mins slightly. 20 meters of the start area is off limits for the 1st minute. 2mins on, so adjustments can be made to the bike, then the last minute is where the start area is opened up to the rider's. To much time is given to kick dirt imo. -
