  1. That's what the management want (regardless of what they say publicly). King's Lynn is built on the cheap. The aim is simple, just to TRY to win at home, and not by big margins, and be battered away. Let me explain by numbers because all we'll get back is King's Lynn do pay well blah, blah, blah. Here's an example. Say Ipswich average 44 per meeting at £400 per point for their septet that's £17,600 per meeting. King's Lynn could offer their septet exactly the same terms but it's built "on the cheap." King's Lynn average 40 per meeting at £400 per point, that's £16,000 per meeting. Over a season Ipswich pay £422,400 King's Lynn £384,000 Say, both clubs have similar attendances, King's Lynn are making better profits by being a cheaper, losing team. This is why King's Lynn is always built "on the cheap" these days, the management know, and don't want, big home wins & to many (if any at all) wins away. As long as you can get enough through the turnstiles, British Speedway don't actually offer real incentive to put together a 'winning team'.
  2. You know this is nonsense right?? Under that theory every track should have between 5,000-10,000 every week. There's always something that 'breaks the camels back' to make someone to no longer go. In 2024 the "use it or lose it" speech doesn’t suffice anymore. Value for money is the be all & end all to a fan.
  3. Do you still go to West Ham week in week out, home and away??
  4. British Speedway HAS been Mickey Mouse for a couple of decades now. But if this manipulation comes to fruition it's on a level par to religion. Totally fake, fictional nonsense.
  5. If Lawson isn't at Leicester it will be through his choice, not for being dropped.
  6. If other GP rider's have said no, they would have been asked be because Lindgren had already said no first.
  7. 🤢🤮 there are websites for that sort of nonsense 🤢🤮
  8. Oh my, let's all take a moment here, someone apologised on this forum.......................................................................................................... 🤣👍🏻
  9. There's a difference between dangerous & ruthless. Pedersen wasn't dangerous
  10. There is no 1 rule for rider's peaking. Some peak at 20, 25, 30. We've seen these supposed superstars at a young age that when they get to mid 20s just flatline. One of the biggest examples coming to mind is Joe Screen. Just so many parameters can get in the way of progression, birds (or guys or "them" 🙄 these days) alcohol, burgers & chips, gambling etc. 20 years ago the peak was mid 20s, these days it's early to mid 30s.
  11. That's too simplistic, Doyle didn't become anyone until his 30s. Style & speed is the parameters over age
  12. Only Belle Vue can say they get both consistently. It's the only Premiership track that is conductive to genuine, full tilt racing. Every other track is predominantly follow the leader until a rider makes an error, or the heatleader misses the start. One of Birmingham's big error in team building last year was simple, they signed no trappers.
  13. I wasn't doing the comparing, I said it's ridiculous too, how many more times 🙄 Getting rides on the continent does make any rider 'way ahead', especially Poland. Comparing the 2 in the same league is also impossible. Thompson was at 2 because the No6 was crap. Rowe was at No6 because King's Lynn was built with strength in depth. Thompson's home track is a trick track which is tough for even away heatleaders. Rowe's home track is super grippy (even with no shale) which is tough for mid to lower order rider's. The parameters for both to be compared are all over the place. But like I said also, in 2 years time Thompson could be 'way ahead'. I have no problem with who rides for who, I just hope we have some more Dan Bewley’s & Robert Lambert’s coming through.
  14. You have to look at the wider picture though. Rowe is getting work on the continent and doing ok. The be all & end all is NOT what's happening in the Premiership &/or Championship. British Speedway is no longer the yard stick. Right now, Rowe is way in front, but I did say he's 2 years older so comparing the 2 anyway is absolutely ridiculous. Thompson could be a heatleader, in the GPs & smashing the Ekstraliga in 2 years. Or go severely backward. Comparing youth with 2-3 year age gap / experience is nothing short of ridiculous.
  15. There's hope for the Brummies. Ermolenko was a great rider but his knowledge of the sport overall is horrific.
  16. Think there's still some serious bitterness from Ipswich fans that Rowe turned them down in 2023 & went to King's Lynn Oh well 🤪😂
  17. Anders is a million miles ahead of Thompson. Why are they even being compared in the first place as they're at different stages of their careers. British Speedway (Premiership or Championship) is not the yard stick. The fact Rowe is learning in Poland's U24E is far more progressive than anything served up here. In 2 years Thompson could be better, but right now, not a chance.
  18. You both can be right ya know 😂 Club in a sound financial footing + Sonsorship worth not that great to the club = The same thing
  19. This has been mentioned for years already. Regardless of what the "regulations" say, 'Rising Stars' are not being forced to ride where they don't want to be. Talks happen pre-pick between clubs & rider's about where they want to go. This is common knowledge.
  20. What used to be enjoyable about uprights & earlier laydowns was their unreliability. Every race was unpredictable in the sense that even if a rider was miles in front they could (and did) breakdown at any point. Most breakdowns now are just dropped / snapped chains
  21. Not sure about that, Boughen is King's Lynn born & bred. He'd be known to the club well enough
  22. Is it negativity or realism? We've seen teams put together for about a decade now, fans "happy" with the side only to be whining & calling for changes weeks later because the teams s#!t. Rinse and repeat at King's Lynn and imo, 2025 will be the same again if real Heatleaders are not found. Even every other clubs fans, when they do predicted line-up, they always give King's Lynn the dregs nobody else wants. I get & understand some are just happy to still have the Speedway, but knowing you're going in to a season without any chance of competing with only 7 teams in the league?
  23. 🤣🤣 go have a look how bad the WHOLE league was then. That Peterborough team is not a yard stick to go by. It's fact, you can't win anything without Heatleaders, anyone over a 5½ average at No6 is a waste of points. King's Lynn before a wheel is turned will really really struggle to make top 4.
