King's Lynn Stars 2025
Daniel Smith replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not sure that'll be the opinion of Cook though. Pretty sure if he wants to secure a good future in the sport he'll be "yes Mr Polish Man, what ever you say Mr Polish Man." It's just the way things are now, British Speedway no longer call the shots. If we want the big boys on our island, we'll have to continue βπ»π¦ Mr Polish Man -

Get what you're both saying, the only issue is that this side doesn't have the strength in depth to run R/R. With Cook being the lowest average out of the main riding order and only being the 1 above able to take R/R (Kvech) & reserves, it'll be a dangerous tactic if (as has been happening) another in the top 5 flops. The makeup of this teams must have riders fill the top 5 spots. Guests at No6 is by far (right now) the option. -

The current figures are running at 6.13 for both Cook & Klindt. If it was me (if it is a choice of course), I'd put Cook at No6. If guests are required because of injury, it'll be more appealing to them with the potential of 7 rides rather than just 5 π€ -

Fingers crossed Ben Cook isn't to badly injured. Regardless of opinion & form, nobody wants to see anyone out through injury ππ» -

I think it's absolute madness to pair Cook & Klindt together. For me, Iversen has been reasonably decent, not to have him at No2 or No5 is crazy management. Just my opinion π€· -

I thought this team had enough in it to make top 4 at a bare minimum & in theory, it still should. But that is this teams absolute maximum. Absolutely getting nowhere near winning the league again. As said when the team was announced by some, you've got no chance without at least 1 genuine heatleader. Once Harris moves out of the No6 position, none of the others will deliver the same numbers as him. Without a genuine No1, can this team get win at home vs Ipswich, Sheffield & Belle Vue?? To make top 4 it absolutely has to. Results vs Birmingham, Oxford & Leicester won't be enough. -

It's not 30+ years the top league has been running National League level, none foreign riders at No7 is it? Isn't it already less value for money having a reserve half a lap behind the rest in some heats? It may as well be 3 rider's only? The 7 day rule is absolutely necessary for all kinds of reasons. Missing a meeting then riding the next day used to go on way to much. Not sure any of the RS rider's are the difference between winning & losing. Most losses are from the failures from the top 5 of the team. We've had exceptions with the likes of Lambert, Bewley & Brennan but these types don't come around often. When they do, they're not at No7 for long anyway. Being a King's Lynn fan, whose club has never won the top flight title, I'd 100% withdraw the RS after heat 2 in a Play-Off Final.

That is absolute nonsense. That's just Polish Speedway ππ© defending itself from potential prosecution. -

Think there's a misunderstanding of what Aries is saying. Harris is just an example. The point being, if a 'Rising Star' gets injured, should the No6 be allowed to take the remaining rides? Take this as an example. King's Lynn make the Play-Off Final and are 10-12 points down after the first leg. I'd take a tactical fall from the No7 in heat 2 & withdraw them, which allows the No6 to have 7 rides. Is it right that the No6 could score 9 points from the No7 rides under the current 'Rising Star' format? For me, either have a No8 available, or go with 3 riders only for 1 or 2 heats. The reserve position is wide open to some serious manipulation.

As they absolutely should. That should also be allowed to be extended. Fingers crossed on some good news soon regarding Woffinden π€π»

Space. Secondly, it wouldn't prevent airfences lifting. Although still bloody hard when you hit it, I don't think you can beat the foam fence used at King's Lynn. Hardly ever moves with incidents
