  1. Improved, more riders come away improved than not. Especially those at the start of their uk carers. There will always be exceptions to the rule. Perry being the most recent and obvious. I do agree with your point that they have a good eye which certainly helps that though.
  2. Winning breeds confidence I guess. He started the season for both teams as he finished the last. The extra responsibility with Brum coupled with the lesser pressure at Poole is probably a fairer view. I'm no Poole fan but you can't argue that riders more often than not come away from there as better riders, especially the younger ones.
  3. True, but I think the stability of being in a pretty much all conquering side brought him on that little bit further though. The biggest shock is replacing someone who rarely missed a meeting with someone who seems to spend more time in A&E than riding.
  4. Melnychuk would look great around Workington if his performance at BV is anything to go by. Would need to keep him away from being paired with Foord though as it would be carnage!
  5. I usually use this on https://speedwayteams2025.blogspot.com/p/ekstraliga-squads-2025.html Can't credit who keeps it updated though I'm afraid, I think it got it from a @racers and royals post last year - apologies if it was someone else!
  6. Retiring or Oxford made him a better offer to do both leagues for them with Scotty out?
  7. She was technically a world champion as well wasn't she?
  8. Ukrainian? Melnychuk in the star after a UK place, after his showing at Belle Vue I’d say Worky would be perfect for him
  9. He's signed for Zelonia Gora as well, can he ride in the u24 league at 15? If so it's a dangerous game to pin a season on getting him in half way through
  10. Probably, I don't see him over here again after the year with Leicester. It's the kind of track he would do well at but as I said he seems very left field as a name.
  11. Shame, that would have been some pairing!
  12. Tobi confirmed, could they still get Lindgren?
  13. Where has Kim's name come from all of a sudden? He was mentioned in the Brum thread too. Can't see him wanting to come back over at this stage
  14. In my mind, I had him at Brum to replace Lampart
  15. No brainer on the 25% off and for me, if he maintains his 'proper' average then he'll have a had a great season. Don't expect a massive jump but a more consistent year from him is probably about right for his development at this stage. Looking back at his SGP2 showing, he was a little too conservative in the bends and was getting swallowed up. Maybe somewhere like Glasgow/Scunthorpe in the Championship will help him with that side of his riding or hopefully he'll get an u24 spot in Poland. Odd that he hasn't yet considering some that are already over there.
  16. Can anyone divert Ryan Reynolds/Rob McElhenney to the NSS when they are over filming? That sort of interest would catapult the sport back to where it belongs. They're interested in investing into cricket and motorsport if rumours are to be believed, shame there's no history of the sport in Wrexham
  17. Seems we're putting 2&2 together and coming up with a pretty handy no 5! He feels like the only stand out name that isn't already over here and has issues with his current club. Wasn't Steady helping him out a few years back?
  18. Freddie? Well aware of what's been said elsewhere but he's the only one I can see unless Vaculik has been royally screwed by Gorzow and is desperate for a team spot. Either one with Fricke would be some top two
  19. There is a huge Newman shaped gap at no 2 with 5.37 left. Mikkel B Andersen is some name to throw out. DIdn't he ride for Wroclaw this season? Newman and Starke together in a Poole side, like its 2015
  20. He was in the same hotel as us in Egypt when he first moved to Coventry. The woman he was with was absolutely bonkers.
  21. Kerr feels like an odd shout for a Poole side. He's made of glass Dan Thompson or even Sedgy would be a better option for that average. Rowe and a 2 point place holder until Cairns is 16 and that would be some side. Must admit I was one of the many that wrote Thomsen off before he turned a wheel but he had a great season, fair play. Deserves to be back next year.
  22. Douglas would be a fantastic addition, his form in Poland took off last year. They are and if the rumours of Masters to Oxford are true then Howarth is surely Brum or Leicester bound.
  23. Wouldn't be surprised to see Wright and King at Brum next year and them go down the multiple 6 point UK based riders to try and save a bit of cash on flights etc. Howarth another possibility if Sheffield do keep their top 3 and Pickering.
  24. Great post! Looking at the averages in the championship the other day asking where are the next line of heat leaders coming from. Doubling up seems to have taken away the mid level riders in the lower division that step up once the top boys move on. The RS should have been at that level to push the riders we've lost over the last 5/10 years into the second string/3rd heat leader roles. Think you nailed it with the Simon Lambert example. Poland haven't seen many of their top level juniors kick on at the world stage as expected but they are still performing at a very good standard in their domestic leagues. From the u21 final 10 years ago, only Ellis, Howarth and Coles are still riding. Phillips and Mountain were meeting reserves and the only ones still with a league place from the qualifier. The Polish junior final that year had, Musielak, Pieszczeck, Przedpelski, Gomolski, Zmarzlik, Smektala, Woryna, Pawlicki, Wozniak, Gala and Cyfer.
