  1. Wasn't there also a lot of chatter about a return to Italy this year?
  2. Feels very left field. Mia he still living in Andorra? Beautiful place but an absolute bugger to get back and forth from the UK
  3. Freddie confirmed as no Swedish league this year. Just Lublin or a possible Monmore return? was his last average over 9.20 though? Huge chunk but would fill a Masters shaped hole if he is off to Leicester
  4. honestly have no idea what you are all watching, rode straight through him, exactly like Kurtz did to Kerr in ht1
  5. By my rough count he's done over 50 with Poland, Sweden, GP, SWC, Euro's, British Final, Golden Helmet. Probably more with any Polish/German individuals he's done. Think he also rode a few French league meetings early on as well.
  6. Along with many others on here it felt inevitable for years. Still a sad day though! Started going there at 18months old before Newport opened and met some brilliant people that I’ll probably never see again! Thursday nights under the lights will be a cherished memory. Glad I got to go back with my old man and brother before it went as we’d never all been at the same time.
  7. Agree with that, whilst unrealistic, based on current averages two from Mountain, Edwards, Gilkes, Jenkins, Starke and even Palin look better options
  8. Almost 10 years ago now in 2013, Averaged 4.59 doubling up whilst also at Ipswich in the then Premier league
  9. On the whole, it wasn’t actually that bad a meeting, but having to sit in that heat for 5 hours watching mainly tractor racing was terrible. forecast hot weather for weeks, the track needed a load of moisture but the water truck looked like it had been hit with a hosepipe ban! the ref, wow. Spent more time inside than actually watching what was going on, to exclude Grahn for being under power when he fell after he’d put the red light on summed it up! For the Kvech incident he wasn’t trackside while the reruns were shown, not that you’d need them. Conveniently shot off as soon as the meeting was ‘called’ which was also a farce! Called after 20 when the leader had looped at the start, several of the crashes towards the end were down to rider error, not the track. all in all a pi$$ poor display from what had been a good weekend and robbed Brennan and the very impressive Flint of a shot at winning
  10. Just getting back into town, has anyone figured out what gates are open for today?
  11. Some big lessons learnt when it comes to gate choices at the crunch over the weekend but to be the only nation to come with a medal in both events is not to be overlooked! after the first 2 heats in semi 1 a silver seemed impossible! A few great performances across the board and great seeing the Poles taken down a peg or two! Can Tai get Brennan in at Wrocław next season for some practice?
  12. Happy to be wrong on that! Still poor not to have a stand by ready knowing that he had been hurt and more than likely wouldn't be fit for today
  13. I'm sure given the choice he'd have stayed to ride, if the injury was yesterday, as reported, they were all still there! My understanding was that there cannot be a replacement, hence the moan about 3 rider races if there is an injury
  14. Out on the push bike with the Poles it seemed on SM Does seem a ridiculous rule that if he is actually injured that Brennan/u21 from last night can't complete the side, god forbid one of the other lads gets a knock in the meeting its game over and another fantastic advert for the sport with 3 man races
  15. Can’t imagine there’s anyone on here that expected Lambert to be back out in that race! Kelvin and Louis seemed pretty shocked too
  16. Getting them is half the battle, getting in is another! Although that been said, getting into a concert there recently was a lot smoother than the last GP there which took almost an hour to get into
  17. I still follow every result here, Poland, Sweden, Denmark and further afield and usually grab the star if there's something about a rider I like to watch. Myself and the old man will always do Cardiff as it's only 5 mins down the road, my brother and uncle also come who haven't been regularly since the 80s! Main reason for not attending regularly now is owners closing tracks chasing money, Newport, Somerset etc and no Swindon. Not for want of trying, just lack of availability and time to travel 2/3 hours each way. Last time we took my brother to Somerset to see a rider who was guesting that we'd been raving about we got there and the BSPA had ruled him out last minute and it hadn't been made public...safe to say he hasn't been bothered outside of a GP since!
  18. Glad it isn’t just me, he’s so predictable it’s frightening how no one hasn’t worked it out.
  19. Surely Auty and Shanes for Starke and Wright would be the choice? I believe there's been no confirmed date on Auty's return and puts Nielsen back to reserve with Pearson
  20. I don’t think that’s the point, they’ve talked endlessly about developing youth and giving them a chance to develop, then use an as usual underperforming Harris. Ellis shouldn’t have got that many rides either.
  21. So Brennan got dragged all the way over to not get a spin with Harris scoring just 4 from 5 on his ‘home track’ and Ellis having a stinker All about the youth this set up!
