  1. Tend to agree, given his social media post saying thanks for making it happen. Reading between the lines it feels pretty last minute and the outing in France was to test his appetite for the sport again. Has been a big if with him over the last few years, not sure he's completed more than one heat in a rain off for about 10 years at PB but he was always pretty handy around there. On paper he should be the pick of the 4 and under riders in the league bar Edwards, really hope he is but I just can't see it.
  2. Didn’t Goret get double figures in that one? And he really struggled over here. big fan of Proctor as a bloke but can’t see him making an impact, or he’s agreed to be a stop gap while they wait for someone else to come in
  3. Believe you're right and it was close season, he's back with Plymouth isn't he. Had forgotten that
  4. Is Tate Z fit enough now? Puts Newman in the 1-5 but at home that shouldn't be a problem.
  5. Going by those who got an average in the Premier last year to the 'new faces' for next season certainly make it look a lot stronger overall - RS noted as 3 to format as my excel skills aren't great!
  6. Which is the main reason the points limit feels outdated. I'd pick the three that have been left out everyday of the week over the ones you've listed there. On Kemp, aggression does feel the key issue to me. Not the Nicki P type, but getting in the right positions then appearing to shut off is all to obvious to even the occasional fan. All a case of running before he could walk, the PR side he does do very well and clearly helped him get some good sponsors in early doors. Needs to start paying back the faith. feels like a cash thing, could be the other reason he's struggling over a few of those other names
  7. He did alright for Ipswich in 2019. 5+1, 6 & 11 from no 7. 11, 2&6 from no 7 for Somerset in 2018. 6 & 5+1 from no7 for Somerset in 2017.
  8. Very much so, no slight on him at all. But all the talk of Tate Z, Gino and the like makes the silence feel like it will be more of a journeyman NL rider in at reserve. Could turn out the opposite way, didn't Edinburgh struggle to fill a reserve spot and hold a trial day resulting in them finding Bewley?
  9. Everyone said the same about Roynon at Poole. He was the only rider that fit yet they took months to announce it. I just have a hunch it will be him, he fits, Laurence was always associated with the US lads when they came over, seems like he would be the best choice from what's out there now he's signed I think in Sweden for next year so he's already in Europe. That said, it will probably be someone like Tom Perry
  10. Wasn't Gino always plan A? Are they waiting for the USA v ROW meeting next week to announce him live on the BSN broadcast?
  11. What a place that was. One of my favourite visits as a kid. We got down really early and stayed in a BnB or pub in St Dennis I think it was. We went to the track for a reccy around 1 in the afternoon and got shown all around the place, taken up into the ref's box and really made to feel welcome. Think it may have been Seemond that showed us around. The track was a fantastic watch.
  12. It does feel odd...and tis' most definitely the season for putting 2&2 together. Not sure even Louis is that mad/desperate though, is he?
  13. What would he even come in on these days? Last GS I can find is from 2007 at 7.48 then 2016 at 7 but only appears to have ridden once? That seems a gamble for a new promotion on someone who wouldn't be cheap and is frankly a complete liability
  14. Google it, name, location and age match a story
  15. It feels like the bottom 2 were put together as plan B after the talk of Newman not looking fit for the start of the season and his comments about possibly being his last season. 8 points felt like 2 newcomers were pencilled in. Newman will be fantastic at home when and if he can stay fit. Roynon is the odd one for me, yes the average fits but cant help thinking he'll be out for a certain Aussie when he's declared fully fit... All hinges on Thomas but as a previous poster pointed out, home wins and experience in the tail to pick up those bonus points away from home appears to be the plan.
  16. Wasn't his actual home ave around 7 and away below 3 last year? Not getting past a good home banker second string for me.
  17. He’s just been announced in Leszno’s u24 squad.
  18. The fact Redcar brought in Shanes over him returning on a similar figure would suggest he's fixed up elsewhere and Poole would make a lot of sense
  19. Loosing him is one of Lemons worst decisions and he’s made some howlers
  20. Sounds like Brennan could be off to pastures new.
  21. Great top three with the limit but that tail with heeps is very concerning, surely Newman would have been better value? killen looks a prospect but Atkins….Daddy must be sponsoring this year
  22. Where has Gilkes been confirmed? Not seen that yet. Some side if they are the only changes
  23. Whilst a little more expensive, (£5 for the top tier) we bought tickets on the day from the ticket office next door and had an old school paper ticket. Not sure it was widely shared that this would happen, just lucky I work in Cardiff and popped in to ask a week or so before A lot easier with a larger group who all went their separate ways to meet in the stadium after.
