  1. Especially when you could get Hume back for less than 5 - providing Redcar don't keep him of course!
  2. Starke last rode more than 2 meetings for Poole in 2017, since then he's only gone one way and looked a shadow of himself at times last year and this. That ill fated season at Newcastle did him no favours. Lot of time for him but if he is the answer the only question what's left to fit in until we can change something. Nielsen '21 and wasn't too bad but some very bad injuries regularly 3.85 (+reduction) is a gamble but if you need a 3 pointer I'd stick with Thompson - if possible!
  3. Surely Nielson or Starke will be no where near Poole next year. Both struggle to complete a season injury free and are only on the decline.
  4. Ruml, Nicol, Knudsen also available under 6. Unless they can unearth a gem on a 5, those two make them very top heavy but can't see them both going unless Nicholls hangs up his steel shoe!
  5. Replacing Swales is probably going the be the biggest task given how lauded the track has been since he's been there
  6. Doesn't seem to end the season like he's making plans for the next either
  7. Wasn't that one of Pickering's reasons for leaving Edinburgh though? Pickering and the Cook's as 1,3&5 for Poole? I say it every year but how Douglas hasn't gone down there with the Ward connection I'll never know. His average is way too high now but it always seemed the right fit.
  8. Hence the otherwise it will be a long tail! experience wise, he’s behind a lot of riders who will probably get an RS classification
  9. Borke and Zitschke as second strings? Brennan shaped gap with those 7 point's isn't there! Not much out there after Riss, Ben Cook or Jake Allen. All of which seem nailed on elsewhere. Unless the aussie comes in on a 4 and you've got 8 points for a no5
  10. Vissing probably the only decision the club has had to make out of those. Imagine Piper will be considered a RS, if they are back, otherwise it could be a long tail
  11. Same thoughts here. Ipswich would be mad to let him go but whenever I've seen him there his style doesn't seem to suit. I think he'd really kick on at Belle Vue, it's helped Lidsey immeasurably this year and why wouldn't the national team manager want to get another youngster kicking on?
  12. But that safety net of Berwick is always there. Same with Wolves, 3 years there now without a real big kick on? Poland is clearly helping with track craft but the UK is a safe place for him where at Berwick he's almost guaranteed 5 rides and 8/9 points most weeks. Agree that it wouldn't be great for Berwick both in team building and subsequently crowd levels loosing the local lad. It's just a hunch and I imagine he'll end be the first name announced for the Bandits!
  13. Nor me, but if he did I would have thought Oxford with the Courtney connection would be a no brainer. He could do with a year away from the safety net that is his homegrown track where ever that may be
  14. Flint. Loads of rumours he will replace Riss/King
  15. He seems destined for Redcar, if you believe the rumours, but Flint as a HL with the rumoured points reduction would be a great signing. Very youthful side with Atkins and Jenkins as second strings. Nicholls may see out one more year with that side and should give about 6.5 points for a 2nd HL.
  16. Do agree with the round the block part of the NDL. Using the line ‘former NDL’ champion in the press release for a guy who won it 8 years ago doesn’t show much development, if anything his average is a point lower than it was back then.
  17. Whilst I imagine this is tongue in cheek - Lambert guesting on an assessed has set a precedent...and his average is lower than Kemp's! It would be the icing on the cake for the Poole meltdowns if it happens
  18. Very valid points! As I said, breakfast musings before any caffeine! Thought it was 40 not 39! Forgot the likes of Brennan were ‘reduced’ at the start of the year! Pearson, given their loyalty to him and that he rode in the NDL this year, just a thought that this well talked about chat between Tolley and Morris could have included using him as one. I’m sure it will be Flint-if Oxford don’t end up moving up!
  19. Bring back the Mavericks Midland Mavericks
  20. The Holders and Cook were just guess work, would imagine Woffy for C Holder if he is back over here next year. Hope if isn't for Musielak though, would be a poorer league without him in it.
  21. Just based on his performances this year for them, he was the shining light towards the end of the season. If anything I think it would be harsh him not getting a place there this year
  22. If the limit stays the same and Brum come up, I see it playing out something like this - based on the Ellis to Belle Vue rumours Belle Vue Brum Kings Lynn 1 Kurtz 8.51 1 Harris 6.53 1 Iversen 6.64 2 Ellis 5.71 2 Lawson 6.57 2 Tarasenko 6.94 3 Blodorn 5.83 3 Douglas 7.14 3 Basso 6.25 4 Rew 4 4 Brennan 6.02 4 Klindt 6.89 5 Bewley 8.21 5 Pickering 6.78 5 Magic/Lambert 8 6 6 Schlien 5.89 6 Lambert 4.78 7 RS - Bailey 0 7 RS - Pearson 7 RS Rowe 40 32.26 38.93 39.5 7.74 40 1.07 40 0.5 Ipswich Sheff Leis 1 Doyle 9.12 1 Holder 8.91 1 Fricke 8.98 2 Masters 7.13 2 Tobi 8.69 2 sedgy 5.07 3 King 7.23 3 Holder 7.16 3 b Cook 6 4 Riss 4.84 4 Howarth 5.55 4 Kerr 5.45 5 Henriksson/etc 5 5 Z Cook 5.1 5 Worrall 5.41 6 Wright 6.31 6 6 7 RS -Thompson 7 RS Gilkes 7 RS - Kemp 39.63 35.41 30.91 40 0.37 40 4.59 40 9.09 I'd love to see Emil back but something tells me he wont be, Ipswich won't build a team without King and there's no way they don't have Riss after sticking by him. I do think Rew will end up at Belle Vue to replace Lidsey *preparing for pelters but they are just some breakfast time musings and sums
  23. Thoroughly enjoyed that on the TV. I’m no Harris fan but Doyle in 13 summed him up, some terrible riding and had that been Nicki P you’d all be up in arms! Josh Pickering, if he could string those great rides together more consistently he will make it, what a performance. King very unlucky with a horrific crash but too long a tail for the witches, who have been fantastic at times this year, one too many. Feel sorry for Louis that they spent so much on Emil and Doyle to just miss out but some terrible loyalty caused their downfall in the end. Riss was pathetic again, didn’t he win the CL there a few years back? wonder who guy Nicholls is with this evening seen as the guest he’s been slagging off essentially win it for one of his teams….although posting picture on social media of him taking delivery of a new rolls Royce, an hour into the meeting, does he care as much as he spouts off about?
