Pl Ambulances, Medics Or Just Plain Lies.
John Leslie replied to jenga's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That statement seems to pose more questions that it answers. Does "experiencing acute personal emotional problems" mean the same as that other well known euphemism "tired and emotional"? Certainly the medical team must have access to a mobile phone that can be used to summon help in an emergency, but surely it should be switched off until that emergency arises? It shouldn't be used for a paramedic to receive personal calls during a meeting. If Matej Kus's problem was a wisdom tooth as has been suggested, surely this wouldn't warrant the calling of an ambulance to treat him? At worst maybe it would necessitate his mechanic driving him to A&E? Was Matej Kus the reason for the ambulance being called, or was the ambulance called as an attempt to gain medical cover to replace the paramedic who suffered "emotional problems" at the time he was examining Kus? The only one emerging with any credit is Dr Fortune who dropped everything to take over and make sure the meeting reached some kind of conclusion. -
BSPA website says:- PREMIER LEAGUE Edinburgh 57 - Steve Worrall 16+2 Rye House 38 - Edward Kennett 13+1 Premier League points: Edinburgh 3 Rye House 0 Scunthorpe 55 - Thomas Jorgensen 12 Ipswich 39 - Gino Manzares 12+1 Premier League points: Scunthorpe 2 Ipswich 1 Somerset 62 - Brady Kurtz 14+1 Glasgow 30 - Theo Pijper 8 Premier League points: Somerset 3 Glasgow 0 Seems Ok to me (not sure about the Scunny/Ipswich points though) Edit to say, Just checked the Press office email which they send out. That is spot on and says Scunthorpe 3 Ipswich 0

Seems a bit over the top, considering we're only talking about one dangerous rider. Certainly other riders have made dangerous moves in the past and others will do in the future, but they're usually isolated incidents. I can only think of the one rider who consistently makes dangerous moves. Asking for new rules and red cards just because of one miscreant seems a bit of an over-reaction

Not at all. You just don't seem to have the answer to the question of what happened to the missing 2 heats if the home side produced "12 out of the 13 heat winners" The best I could suggest was that if the author thought "Ovations were besides that all coming the way of the home riders" is a coherent English sentence then maybe he'd been in the bar
-
Well considering that gobbledegook sentence, and the fact that he missed 2 heats somewhere, we can only assume he was in the bar!
-
Did the reporter arrive late and miss the first 2 heats?

Starting Gate Shenanigans
John Leslie replied to barrow boy's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
That is the rule. The starting marshal should call then to the tapes from gate 1 to gate 4. Anyone disobeying the starting marshal should be excluded disqualified. -
Get your money on at Bet365. Easy away win for Lakeside. Schlein (ex-BV rider) guesting for Bridger (crap at BV) strengthens the Hammers big style. Robson (riding well and unlucky not to get a max guesting for Somerset at weekend) is more than adequate cover for Lawson. For the Aces, Stead is a reasonable swap for Worrall, but there's no way they can cover the loss of Cook who averages 9+ at Kirky Lane.
-
Worrall was always going to be missing from this meeting and Stead booked as his guest replacement. It's only the Cook situation that's changed. Will the Aces just use R/R for him?

I'd like to congratulate KKS on his move to Coventry. Commiserations to Coventry fans. I hope someone at Coventry has bought KKS a box of tissues and some clean y-fronts.

Yes...You've worked it out. The village idiot wants to go past heat 10 if he's winning....But sulks and wants to go home if he isn't. -

You can't agree with Rossiter.....Even Rossiter doesn't agree with Rossiter. His opinion changes every match. Bet he was the kid at school who took his bat and ball in if you didn't let him win. -

Bet365 offering 4/5 for Millik to outscore Harris in their rider match-ups? Surely that'll be easy money? -
I just hope KKS didn't get his purple chinos too wet (either from the rain or from internal excitement).
-
She wasn't even involved in the discussion....A discussion which shouldn't have even been taking place according to the rules.
-
Totally ludicrous. The rules say that only BV could seek abandonment of the meeting, and clearly they didn't. Seems that the meeting steward acted against the rules.
-
no she didn't.
-
Ridiculous conclusion to the match. Surely only the team who are behind can ask for it to be called off...clearly Belle Vue don't want it off, so just carry on without the stupid time wasting debates. The track was clearly raceable....makes the sport a laughing stock

I'm getting more confused by the minute The acronym LAMP refers to first letters of the four components of a solution stack, composed entirely of free and open-source software, suitable for building high-availability heavy-duty dynamic web sites, and capable of serving tens of thousands of requests simultaneously.
