Poole Pirates Vs Kings Lynn Stars 02/09/15

Poole will look at the bigger picture. They want to win tonight to make sure they finish top and have the choice of semi-finalists. -
Belle Vue, Kings Lynn Or Swindon For 3rd/4th Spot

I don't think Belle Vue will win at Wolves, so that would mean Swindon are already safe and King's Lynn just need the home win over Swindon. -

Shocking refereeing again. Ronnie Allen making Mr Hartley look competent. Sarjeant didn't move, but if he did then it should be stopped for an unsatisfactory start before the Garrity incident occurred. Ronnie Allen robbing the public. -
Belle Vue -v- Swindon Monday 17th August

How are Swindon able to use Rob Branford as a full time FTR when he wasn't on the Fast Track list at the start of the season, and was only later introduced as a "can't be used full time, guest rider only"? -

I'm guessing he's talking to himself there? I'm had a look at the map he posted...He said look for Manchester in the top left corner....yet it says Scotland there.....Does the old confused fool really think Manchester is in Northern Scotland? Gusters...a little clue for you....if you look closer to the middle of your map you'll see somewhere marked "Manchester"...it may look like it says "Wibble" to you, but it really is Manchester... Is there any reason why you continue to make yourself look a prize pillock on here? -

I'm sure the fact that Manchester is right slap bang in the centre of Britain, and Ipswich is way out South East in East Anglia is well known to him, but the beauty of trolling is that you could claim that Poole is central Britain, because you don't have to be factual, you just have to talk gibberish and say anything that disagrees with logic. Wibble Wibble. -

Mr Onion, Don't try to use reason and logic against our resident troll. He always does the same thing...makes a stupid statement, and then when people point out with reasons and logic why the statement was stupid, he will go off topic and start posting irrelevant links, (often to wikipedia), and then claim he is being picked on and bullied. Nothing new here...he claimed that Belle Vue's opening meeting should be advertised with an expensive ad in the Daily Mirror. I pointed out that this would be a stupid idea because there is no point in advertising a sold-out meeting, Bruiser McHuge said much the same thing (your analogy to Bournemouth not needing to advertise their Premier League match which was already sold out was a good one). True to form he then starts posting non-relevant links to the Man City v Chelsea match, his next step will be to say that everyone is bullying him. He also gets very bitter about anyone doing anything positive in speedway. The opening of a new state-of-the-art stadium with a sweeping 350m track, and associated training academy and development facilities must be like a dagger through the heart to him. One thing he won't do is answer the question of why he thought wasting seroius amounts of money on an expensive advert in a national newspaper, for a meeting which will by then be already sold out, is a good idea. -

Yep. Totally silly. No idea what you are waffling on about now though. Why do you say Not many people read the Mirror? and an advert would not be seen by many people? Granted a lot more people read The Sun, but lots of people read the Mirror and a lot of people would see a Stock Car advert in the Mirror if there actually was one...(not sure if there was one though as I've asked some Mirror readers to show me the Stock Car advert and they haven't seen it). Anyway back to the subject, you seem to have failed to answer the question of what would be the point of spending thousands on an advert in a National newspaper for the Belle Vue opening meeting when the majority of Mirror readers may live nowhere near Manchester, and those that do live nearby still couldn't attend as the meeting would be sold out months before the advert appeared... -

And what would be the point in spending thousands of pounds on an advert to make the nation's Daily Mirror readers aware of a Speedway meeting which may be hundreds of miles away from them, and which even those close enough to attend wouldn't be able to attend due to the meeting being sold out months before? -

No it isn't. What would be the point? -
No, I'm making it very simple. The referee disqualified two riders for a starting offence. - That was his decision. When a rider is disqualified for a starting offence, he can either be re-instated off 15m from gate 4, or replaced with a reserve. If someone is already occupying the 15m handicap off gate he can only be replaced with a reserve - That's the rules. However last night 2 riders were excluded at the same time. They can't both go off 15m, but the rules don't say which one gets to go off 15m if they both wanted it.
-
It is clumsy grammar, but what it's trying to say is that you can only have a 15m handicap on gate four (gate d). And if someone has already been excluded and taken the handicap on gate 4, anyone subsequently getting excluded can only be replaced by a reserve. (i.e. gate 2 or 3 can't be used for a 15m handicap). What it doesn't legislate for is two riders getting excluded at the same time.
-
If what was the referee's decision? The referees decision was to disqualify both of the riders. That's the simple bit. The rules allow either to be handicapped 15m or be replaced by a reserve, they can't both take the handicap because only one rider can start from 15m. The problem is, when 2 riders have been disqualified at the same time, who has first option on taking the handicap?
-
I'd agree with your reasoning that Jonsson must have committed the offence first. (although you could argue then that at the time Jonsson delayed the start, Zagar hadn't touched the tapes, so Zagar shouldn't have been excluded). It could be that Jonsson was excluded first and Lakeside had the option of 15m or a reserve, and chose to use a reserve. In that case Zagar then had the choice of 15m or a reserve and opted for 15m. Had Lakeside opted for 15m for Jonsson, then Zagar would only be able to be replaced by a reserve.
-
Not sure why DropACog is quoting the Midland Development League rules there. (21.11) ? Jonsson couldn't go back 15m if Zagar did. But I don't know why Zagar would get priority over Jonsson in choosing the 15m option if they both got excluded at the same time.
-
Wrong. A rider can go off 15 metres for any starting offence. (This includes returning to the pits during a restart, iilegal gardening, not obeying the start marshal, delaying the start, missing the 2 minute allowance, preventing the raising of the starting gate, or touching the tapes. However only one rider can go off 15 metres. So if someone is already on 15 metres and another rider makes a starting offence, the second rider can only be replaced by a reserve. If 2 riders are excluded at the same time, god knows which one gets the 15 metre option!

Just a thought, but since this bloke hasn't received the brick he's bought, maybe Chris Morton could just keep everyone's brick and use them to build a speedway stadium? (I presume the post was a wind up...no one could be that daft....wonder if Gustix has bought a brick yet).
