Do you mean "a work in progress"? looks like it's not made any progress since 1995! Even so they should be able to spell their riders' names! -

According to the IOW's miserable excuse for a website they've signed "Matt Soul" -
If he holds a British passport due to being born in Britain then he's a 3.00 If he holds a British passport due to patriality then he's a 5.00 or are we ignoring SR 19.8.1.1 this year?
-
Yes. He has a British passport due to patriality. (i.e. he's NZ born, but his parents are British). So should be eligible for NL, but on a 5.00 average
-
Surely if the lad was born in New Zealand, but has a British passport and British patriality due to British parents and grandparents, then there is no question that he is eligible for the National League. However his average should surely be 5.00 ? SR 19.8.1.1 "Riders qualifying by UK Patriality will be given an assessed MA of 5.00"

They need a proper website now. -
I see very little to choose between Belle Vue and Poole... Zagar v Holder - little between them, but slight advantage to Zagar Cook v Watt - again little between them. Cook may be slightly better if he can continue his end of 2015 form. Nicholls v Buzczowski - Nicholls just wins this one Fricke v Andersen - Andersen wins this one Worrall v Kurtz - Fairly evenly matched Worrall v Newman - not much in it, but Newman should win it Boxall v Ellis - Both can be up and down. Hard to choose.

Thought Bacon was on the move because he didn't want the awkward travelling to Mildenhall anymore? Coventry on his doorstep or the new Belle Vue just up the road might suit him better?

Have you tried this place ? Lincoln not far from you? http://darrantchemicals.co.uk/methanol

Just drill a hole in the tray to let the water out and put a bigger tray underneath it. Everything is fine - BSPA thinking

Are the Raiders definitely entering the 2016 NL? They seem to be the only club not to have named at least one signing for 2016
-
Used to be able to buy it from any decent-sized chemists. (I haven't bought any for a long time though) If they ask what you want it for, tell them it's for your model aircraft club. They used to get a bit awkward if you said it was for Speedway bikes.

No one ever sings the Spanish national anthem. Is this why there are practically no Spanish Speedway riders? -

All the buildings and facilities are great, but actually seeing the red shale going down is something else....it's getting close! -
If you take the finishing team average of last year's 10 teams and add them together you get 418.29 Two new teams to come in need another 14 riders (at, say, min 3 points each) = 42 418.29 + 42 = 460.29 divide by 12 teams = 38.36 But that doesn't allow for anyone coming back in like Oliver Greenwood or anyone who finished last year on the injured list needing to come back. On the other side it doesn't allow for anyone quitting the NL. But I'd say overall 38.5 or slightly above seems about right.

2016 Elite League Heat Format
John Leslie replied to KevH's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's not an obscure chance. If we keep the same format, even if he rides well, his average in the top 5 won't go up much/any. But a reserve getting 6 free points from the reserve races will rocket up. They cannot possibly be using last year's format and allowing free movement in and out of reserve. On its own that would be a recipe for disaster, but when you throw in the fact that the sneakier promoters will also fiddle it to their benefit, then you have mayhem. I nominate SCB to write a letter to the Speedway Star explaining the problem....that would be a issue worth reading -
2016 Elite League Heat Format
John Leslie replied to KevH's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I should imagine if Josh Bates (or any other reserve) gets to No.1 then the management will break his leg for him! I'm sure someone has got the wrong end of the stick here. They can't possibly use the same format and allow reserves to move up on the strength of picking up easy points against other reserves whilst top international riders drop down on the basis of being beaten by other top international riders. So far we haven't found a fan on this forum who thinks it would be a good idea, so surely in a room-full of promoters some can see the problem? They certainly will see the problem when they're paying Troy Batchelor £250 per point to clean up in the reserve races! -
What a bizarre signing

Fricke will be at Belle Vue. He'll have just been told not to tell anyone until the official press release.
