The draft list certainly isn't perfect, but everyone knew the rules. They all picked from the list in the agreed order. It's going to be very dodgy looking is the BSPA chairman is allowed to override the rules and sign a No.6 from outside of the draft list who is an asset of another club.
-
If King's Lynn are allowed to use Ben Barker at no.6 instead of a draft rider it will be a farce. The other promoters need to stand firm.

Sister + Brother Ride Speedway
John Leslie replied to iris123's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Simon Cross's sister Julie and Glenn Cunningham's sister Sarah rode in a women's race at Telford one year. -
Think there might be the odd bank holiday Monday fixture

I was told a while back that the Leicester track was being altered this winter, but I was told that it's only the 3rd/4th bend because DH didn't want to do both ends at once. I was also told at the same time that Leicester were signing Kenneth Bjerre and a Polish heat-leader. Was starting to think it was all duff info, but now the track alterations are becoming reality, maybe the signings will be named too.

Bit of a daft comment. Why would supporters of a weak team want to go and watch an even weaker team? Chelsea aren't doing very well in the football Premier League.....will all their fans go to watch Leyton Orient? The weakest EL speedway team would anihilate the strongest PL team....That shows that the Elite are Elite, but the Premier certainly aren't Premier

Nah....his Danish purchase rarely comes from the back.

He's been to Netto and bought some goods that are past their sell-by date, from the bottom of the heat leader aisle. It's just not been announced yet.

Are Outside Forces At Work
John Leslie replied to Star Lady's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
She hasn't. The clue is that she says "I believe that..." Which is expressing her own opinion, and not speaking for anyone else. Erm...no it isn't. What exactly do you think "I" means? If you're strugging with single letter words, I don't think there's any hope. -

Ridiculous that SCB is banned. He's one of the most sensible posters on here, and probably the most intelligent when it comes to compiling and understanding speedway statistics.

Kenneth Bjerre I reckon

Unfortunately the programme was only on 3 hours, so not enough time to give every Stock car world champion 5 seconds each... however Tyson Fury was there to represent pikeys

At least Tai got a small mention...

Wimbledon Stadium: Some Important News
John Leslie replied to Parsloes 1928 nearly's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
There's a first time for everything! -
But since they'll be bottom of the league and have super Kenny Bjerre....
-
Maybe we should no longer score races as 3 points for a win, 2 points for second etc. We should just let the promoters have a vote at the end of the match as to which team they thought should have won.

Mildly Interesting Speedway Trivia...

Bruce Penhall appeared in porn films. He only had a small part. -
Thought Australians weren't allowed in NL now? Only British passport holders? How has he got a British passport?

Should Roscoe Step Down As Gb Team Manager ?
John Leslie replied to KIRKYLANE's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
No, he shouldn't step down just because the Swindon team is full of Aussies. He should step down because he's a bit of a nob. -

Not very fair on the genuine 3 point newcomers when old experienced riders who have held averages well above 3 are coming back and taking their places and then getting their averages reduced to 3.00 Would Jason Crump be allowed back in the EL on 3.00?
