Cannot help but think that most of that team were decided very early on. Using Mellgren instead of Kennett could have resulted in being 3 points under the limit.
Cannot be bothered to look back through the various threads, but I thought I read somewhere the coverage was Elite League only.
Could easily be wrong though.
Absolutely no chance of Kennett staying anywhere close to that average. Puts a lot of pressure on the others to step up or it could be a long season of struggle.
Watched European Rallycross on telly at the weekend. Same issue, mostly first to bend 1 wins. They also have this Mickey Mouse thing where every car has to take a different section on 1 of the 6 laps although not sure why. That was boring until a few decided to play dodgems and knock the the car in front into a spin.
Just cannot see Poole heat leaders dropping many points tonight, so it will be desperately important for Brum to make sure those heats with Darcy & Greg become 3-3 otherwise I fear next week may be out of reach. As a neutral I hope not, but somehow fear the worst.
I don't particularly have an issue with riders going back to the pits after an unsatisfactory start, but get fed up with the time they take or are allowed to take by the referee.
If an unsatisfactory start happens, once the red lights go on, I would have the two minutes on immediately after. A rider can go back to the pits but they will already be on 2 mins.
The World Cup is over.... past... gone.... why can people not let it go?
Hans won the GP last night because he was the best rider on the night.
To try and interfere with someone's livelihood by contacting sponsors I personally find more than a little worrying.
Well said Middlo.
People only remember winners and we just didn't quite make it.
There are loads of ifs buts and maybes but the reality is Sweden are the World Cup winners.
A good effort from all the guys.
The future of televised speedway is dependent on viewing figures, as the number of people watching determines the advertising revenue because the more viewers, the higher the advertising fees.
At the moment, Sky are probably getting good value for their outlay, although it would be interesting to see the viewing figures as no Sky programme is in the same league as terrestrial television.
Not quite sure where you would fit a speedway track at Brands.
It would have to be in the short loop section as the Grand Prix extension has noise problems with the residents.
Silverstone doesn't appear to have any natural area for speedway which would not incur rather large costs to instal temporary granstands etc:
