  1. Can only think of that as a reason otherwise why would you replace Kennett on 9.27 with Jacobsen on 6.98. Doesn't look to me that the management are serious about this tie.
  2. Can't see anything in regulations about 7 average and doubling up. The regulations do say that double up can only be for 2 consecutive years and when this was raised in FB Eddie said that if that rule continued he will ride in PL. Whilst situations change, that's the position as far as I'm aware.
  3. So the alternative is what? King wants the TV work, KK isn't available so that realistically leaves Lambert to cover number 1. R/R is the only realistic option but everybody needs to up their game.
  4. Quite dark and grey overhead but no more rain....... yet. Wonder if this meeting will be decided on who wants to race, rider safety and all that.
  5. Thought the announcer said that Stead trapped his steel shoe which gave him a foot problem and was off for an X-Ray. Hope I didn't imagine all that.
  6. 150cc was 7 races plus a final but every heat had one rider doing 2 on the trot, it was bound to be a bit drawn out.
  7. Started at 2.30 and finished at 8.25. Three meetings with what seemed to be little urgency on getting them going. Sun break before the third meeting didn't help the situation.
  8. Don't get all these close meeting calls. Kings Lynn win by at least 10, probably closer to 15.
  9. Expect Rye to win the meeting but 16 points is about 10 too many to catch.
  10. Ged also said there may be more changes before the deadline.
  11. Lakeside twitter site showing R/R for AJ before the meeting started.
  12. First time visitor to Kent yesterday and very impressed by the attendance. Knowing it was the hottest day of the year and the likely need to water regularly meant the meeting was always going to be tight to the curfew. Taking 20 minutes to run the first 2 races, and 40 minutes to run heats 3-6 so after an hour we only had 6 heats. Drury has been in this game a long time and looking at the score charts Brum would likely win heat 14 and lose 15 so he played the clock with time exclusions. Many team managers would have done the same to make sure they take the points home. Just my view as an outsider.
  13. On twitter MEETING OFF Tonight's Elite League clash between King's Lynn & Swindon has unfortunately been postponed. New date TBC.
  14. As far as I can see there's the parish council's request for extended acoustic barrier and the car parking problems. One of the planning officer's emails recommends refusal due to the car parking matter. There's a long way to go yet.
  15. The rule doesn't stop Karger deciding the PL is not for him and deciding to leave.
  16. I wondered that because I can't find it in the regs. Maybe I need to look closer but I can't see anything.
  17. Branford back next Sunday and I assume Hopwood leaves. Fear there will be very few attending as a thrashing is on the cards, even more so when covering the R/R.
  18. The hub of the front wheel should be over the second white line and it's the start marshals job to ensure the riders are in line. Doesn't make him an idiot, it's him doing the job properly.
  19. If Branford is not returning, then Rye need that very long tail strengthened.
  20. Both Mallory and Donington have noise issues. In the case of Mallory the local authority had to compensate residents in 2014 for breaches. Don't think there are many race tracks without noise problems
  21. Think Kent are too strong for a Raiders side carrying R/R. Expect them to win by at least 6 points.
  22. I really don't get all this defeatist nonsense after one home loss. I drove up last night because a strong Belle Vue were in town and as a neutral I wasn't disappointed by the meeting. Belle Vue were superb at gating on a well prepared track and once in front on most occasions they weren't passed. Agree there will be problems once NKI goes but Kings Lynn aren't a bad team and one loss against a strong team doesn't make them poor. It was a bad night against good opponents. On Monday they should turn over Coventry without too much of a problem and everything's rosy again, well until NKI leaves anyway.
  23. I thought it was a very enjoyable meeting apart from wanting Tony Steele to be a bit quicker with the 2 minutes on a few occasions. Belle Vue were sharper from the gate and look a strong team.
