This was the situation in November https://therealefl.co.uk/2019/11/26/afc-wimbledons-future-in-doubt-as-new-stadium-hits-funding-crisis/ Seems they decided on fans bond to raise finance https://www.afcwimbledon.co.uk/news/2020/january/stadium-update/

I was also at Rye this afternoon and it did look sad to see the main stand partially demolished, especially as there were trophies sitting on the old tea bar counter. Hope they're removed before the rest is brought down. It was also noticeable that foundations have been laid so whilst the stand is coming down, something else will be built in its place. There's also walls being built behind the earth bank at turn 3 so somethings possibly going up there too. Overall the place looks awful at the moment.

Brian replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Ipswich will win tomorrow but 12 is too many to make up. They threw it away last night. -
Peterborough v Wolves 17.9.19
Brian replied to Call me wolfie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well I enjoyed the meeting tonight. Quite surprised there was no grading during the meeting. -
Redcar v eastbourne koc semi finals 6/7 sept
Brian replied to ruckerroo's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Sorry to disagree with most here but 10 points is too many to make up. Eastbourne not scoring enough at reserve and running R/R will be too much. -

Ged Rathbone said it on the PA at the final meeting.
-
To paraphrase what Ged said last weekend (assuming I've remembered correctly and not made this up) he said that although owning his local track may appeal at some stage, now is not the time. Any thoughts of Ged taking over Redcar isn't going to be now.

Speedway stadium and kart track behind are on a long lease to BMR, who were also the speedway promotion.

Not heavy but steady rain coming down. Hopefully it will blow through.

With MPT missing I can only see a home win by 10.

Ostergaard 7.34, Bjerre 8.07 so doesn't fit.

I believe the Orient ground is owned by Barry Hearn's Matchroom pension scheme so not in danger.

The talk of discussions with Essex County Council have been kicking round for a couple of years. I suspect now we'll see just how close they are to finding a site.

The statement on FB Our 40th celebration year has been challenging to say the least and with deep sadness we regret to announce it will be our last. Contending with our great British weather with the first two months of the season seeing both opening events for the Rolling Thunder Show and King of the Ring events being cancelled due to freezing weather conditions and our own season opener being held in minus 11 degrees followed by a cold and miserable Easter weekend didn't make for a great start to the year. The Lakeside Hammers on a continuing downward spiral in terms of spectator support as well as having meetings cancelled not just due to weather conditions but ongoing issues with the BSPA to contend with also heavily impacted the Raceway's income. The above along with the amount of investment needed to just maintain the stadium plus the continued increasing costs for compliance, insurance and health and safety has led to the Raceway no longer being financially sustainable and therefore with great sadness and a heavy heart we have to advise 2018 will be the last racing season for the Woodroffe family. The final event to be run bringing Arena Essex Raceway's gates to a close will be on Sunday 4th November with the 27th Firecracker. The family would like to thank all those who have supported us over the last 41 years, drivers, spectators, site hirers, sponsors, suppliers, concession holders and not least our hardworking an dedicated Arena Essex Team. Join us in our final three months in celebration of the last 40 years

Seen on FB that due to an issue Lawson missed his flight to Italy so Ellis races on his own.
