I think that Adam Allott is now the TR holder at Monmore in the NL. He clocked it in Heat 3 of the 2011 Golden Hammer and was announced to the crowd as such. Hope I'm wrong as it would take it away from Lee Smart (Dudley 2010)& his TR for the NL at Monmore.

I can only thank speedibee for the pm they sent me as I do not know how to return the favour. If what you say is correct, and I do not doubt it, perhaps Nigel & co (Ladbrookes included) have made a mistake as I and many others would have been very happy to see the Vikings at Monmore Wood. Perhaps next year would be possible as Tamworth is a lot closer to Monmore Wood than Sheffield will ever be!

I could't remember what we called them on the training nights way back. Had you use to go? I stood with Dave Perks & Gerry Smithermans' families by the starting gate!

I agree in full. Can I throw out an idea? Why not put Richie, Danny & Adam plus Cameron ?????( No 18 at the'Ommer) as a Dudley "Young Heathens/United" team in Challenge matches against 4 man teams after the meeting like they do at Leicester, Sheffield, Scunthorpe & Buxton? Sorry if I have missed anyone out. This is a way of getting youngsters to be future Heathens I would have thought plus more races at monmore Wood! We did this years ago and local lad Dave Perks, to name but one, hit the big time!

I have been a Heathens fan or devotee since I was taken to Dudley wood in 1959! If there is a Heathens team win or loose I will go. Nigel & crew have done the Heathens history proud in the latest incarnation. Cubs, Heathens, United, Heathens, Club CH and now Dudley.............ALL WE NEED IS A HEATHENS TEAM AT ANY LEVEL IN SPEEDWAY! We are probably the 2nd or 3rd highest average gate supported Club in the UK so expect jealousy from others who wished they had what we have got and I know of more who would follow in a higher league.! Ask the promoters where they have visited, we have spent £'s by the ton by increasing their gates! Win, Loose, Draw, etc Nigel is damned, but not by a true Heathen, but by idiots from other tracks that are very obviously jealous of the history of a very proud club with supporters who are not rivalled anywhere in UK Speedway. Flame away to your heart's content folks but a true Speedway anorak knows this already! As the programme says "A Heathens Fan Since The summer of '59"

I thought that too! I suppose it shows how good/big we are in Speedway ?

I have been 'told' that the realistic home figure is nearer the 1750 mark at home (I have only missed about four meetings home since the relaunch) & Perry Bar figures were down on the Monmore Wood figues by the way they and mighty impressive away. I, too, cannot understand the ones who stay away as it is not Penhall et al!

Looking forward to the match as, I agree, that Heathens v Hawks matches have been too long in the offing. 'Ommer um Heathens! By the way, according to the Dudley programme it is now, on Tuesdays at least.....Monmore Wood
