Unfortunatley Royno wont be leading from the front in the 2nd leg as i beleive hes riding for workington on that night, Also the fixtures show Somerset at Plymouth that night so i would imagine Tom wont be there either.

Thanks BFD apppreciate that. -
Jon Armstrong would be a great number 1 for the young stars, rides the norfolk arena aswell as anybody in the NL and is a great captain and help to the younger lads in the team.

Any news on a full list of scorers for this meeting yet? -
Yes i understand what your saying but im just asking what you would have done, i think im correct in saying that to bring royno back and keep kyle would have meant 2 further changes, im not having a go and im not even disputing what you have said is correct but im just curious as to how we could have fitted both kyle and royno in.
-
So can i ask Martin T / 21st CH if you wanted to keep Kyle and Royno what changes would you have made?
-
I havent looked at the figures but would imagine that the only way Royno and Kyle could have both been kept was for Armo to be released - that was never going to happen. Kyle has been a real star for the heathens, he filled boots that we all said were unfillable and he really is a great lad and i for one hope to see him in a heathens race jacket again in the future (in the prem league would be nice!!), So thanks Kyle and all the best for the rest of the season. As for Royno its fabulous to see him back, before his accident he was without doubt the best rider in the NL and judging by his first couple of races in the hammer its not going to be long before hes back to that form - doing what he does best 'ommering um'

Spot on The only problem in the heathens camp is we keep being expected to turn up and race on tracks that are not fit for racing on, Newport all the guys gave it a go but it was really a farce, IOW they gave it every chance but when that last downpour came there was no way the meeting could go ahead, and last night despite what some are saying on here the track was not fit for racing. Armo has been around long enough to know when it is and isnt safe to race, he also knows that the rest of the team are young inexperienced kids and fair play to him for doing his best to look after them.
-
That and the fact he has a wife 2 kids and a mortgage, why take a risk on a track that was clearly un raceable? All of these
-
Buxton go to Stoke on Saturday with a 1 point lead so would expect Stoke to progress from there. Isle of Wight are already through and the other tie is Hackney v Mildenhall so i would expect a final 4 of - IOW, Stoke, Mildenhall and the Mighty Heathens
-
Just noticed no Ben Morley for the Hawks, who can take his rides - is it just David Mason and the reserves?
-
Thats bad news for young Kyle, no guest allowed if hes not number 1 in the averages so will be R/R - I agree that with Kyle it would have been a tough task for the heathens to hold onto a 6 point lead but if your running R/R that could just tip it in our favour. A real shame for the meeting to end that way last night but it was a cracking nights entertainment, anybody refusing to attend national league meetings because they think there is a lack of quality really doesnt know what they are missing

Video evidence suggests that the correct decision was made!

Where Now For The Heathens?

Unforunatley Mickey hasnt got dual nationality so isnt an option which is a real shame - if he had i would imagine he would have been in the team from the start of the season. -

If Birkinshaw or Kyle Newman fit average wise then thats where i would be looking, we could probably get away with r/r at home but not away - Im just gutted for Royno he really was flying, heres to a speedy recovery mate -
Really looking forward to it Steve, Just as long as you dont think your going to beat the heathens again See you at Birmingham next thursday, i know one member of the Bulls team because im helping him in the pits but be intresting to see who the other 6 bulls are.
-
Any team news for next thursday yet??
-
It has appeared on the Dudley Website fixture list aswell so looks like its definatley on.
-
I will be there mate, looking forward to it should be a cracking meeting.
-
Belle vue team announced tonight looks the most solid to me so far, heathens and belle vue fighting it out at the top of the league, we have seen that a few times before. Shame the colts wont be winning the KO Cup this year, i cant see them making it past the first round somehow
-
I see what your saying mate, i think Richie had a lot of bad luck last year so i do think he could improve his average, but i also think if we intended using him he would have been signed up by now. Im still hopeful we can find a place for young Sarj, theres loads of improvement in him Its going to be intresting to see which way Nige and Will decide to go, all i know is i cant wait for April
-
I think we still officially have 2 spaces to fill, i would imagine Richie Franklin will be one of the signings and if thats the case i dont think we can fit Jamie in.
-
I dont agree, Ben that average was acheived last season despite the fact Jon had been out for a considerable time with a terrible leg injury, when he first came back you could see he was rusty and the scores reflected that, however once he got back into the swing of things he was a different rider, take a look at his scores in the 5 meetings before he picked up his arm injury - 15+1, 14+1 (paid Max), 13+2 (paid max), 10+1, 11+1 . As long as there are no ill effects from the arm injury i would be suprised if there wasnt an improvement on the starting average of 8.36. 21st CH if we had taken on Brundle or Birko as number 1 we would have had even less points to play with for the remaining riders and you are already worried about us being weak at the bottom. I think Nigel & Will have got it spot on so far every rider signed up is more than capable of upping there average and if that happens we will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season - Keep the faith and Roll on April
-
Well im still hopeful Jon will be a heathen again but it makes sense for the aces to sign him. I must admit im really looking forward to visiting belle vue again been a good few years since i went to kirky lane.
-
Jon Armstrong would be an excellent signing for belle vue, A good points scorer and excellent help to the younger guys in the pits, also a local lad so save on travelling expenses , Sign him up Mort
