  1. Our injury toll just gets worse. Best wishes to Jordan, Jake and Dave Peat.
  2. Good luck to Dave and hope all goes well.
  3. Well the way injuries are hitting us and inadequate performing riders (apart from Ryan Douglas ) I don't think the Scorpions will be much of a threat to you maintaining top 6 position.
  4. Which ever way we dress it up, we are considerably weaker at home with our 2/ 3 injured riders missing. (Aarnio ,has he now gone for good??? )
  5. Best wishes to Jordan, I fear our race to 6th position is fading away.
  6. Is that really the best team we can muster? Can only hope for a rain soaked track, otherwise we have no hope of a point.
  7. Is Marko the weather troll for this league??? He has slagged several promotions now for early call offs, even though he lives 100's of miles away from the affected tracks. Every whinge he has had about early call offs the promotions have all proved to have got it right and the tracks have been unrideable.
  8. Think Birmingham have far more things to worry about than worrying about the EWR.
  9. Cannot understand why Sheffield do not start earlier knowing they have a curfew. Its not the first time paying customers have been denied 15 heats .
  10. So two heat leaders down for at least a month, maybe nearer two months? Have we got a plan to get us out of this hole? Anyone out there worth a punt at this critical time trying to get a top six spot?
  11. Really? The rain offs at the EWR have all been vindicated by the locals. If you want to travel and don't heed the forecasts or look at websites to check events are on, then reap what you sow. I get it you are another Godfrey key board hater, but if you actually talk to the guy he is a proper speedway fan and wears his heart on his sleeve. It will be interesting if any other promotor puts their head above the parapet and takes on the poison chalice Chairman's job.
  12. I guess that's 6-8 weeks weeks for Aarnio as well then?
  13. Looking good. Could double as the EWR if the Humber bursts its banks and floods N Lincs.
  14. NHS says 6-8 weeks for fractured wrist, but Speedway riders it probably means 4 weeks! Don't know what injuries Tero has and how long he will be side lined.
  15. So where is Aarnio this week then? Berwick track specialist and a no show for us! We need some away points ,but keep shooting ourselves in the foot. Is everyone allowed to replace Aarnio for r/r rides?
  16. Could be because Connor Coles is riding at Berwick, as he has signed for the Scorpions to cover for Ryan Kinsley's long term injury.
  17. Do I do the 420 miles round trip, will the weather hold, will we win away??? Probably not, probably not and probably not.
  18. Some good racing last night, but we threw some points away too. Can't help feeling we gave the Pirates a point and let a substantial lead fritter away. Another 3 points and at this stage of the season our aim is to stay in the top six, after that its start again and all to play for. I am still of the opinion whoever scores the most league points wins the title, but it prolongs the season and gives the underdogs a chance of the trophy. Shout out to Rob and his track staff, who provided a good race surface in 30 degree heat and drying wind. The Poole fans near to me, were thankful the track was not dusty, didn't need tractor racing and could make their long journey home after 15 heats in 80 minutes.
  19. With 30 degrees forecast for Friday, best start the water bowsers up now!
  20. Another potential banana skin meeting for the Scorpions. Poole have a few EWR track specialists in Lawson, Worrell and Kemp. As for the rest all could score well too. I think a make or break week for Aarnio, with both the management and fans beginning to lose faith in his commitment to the club. I am sure the feelers are out looking for a replacement, but as we all know riders are thin on the ground.
  21. If you cannot ride the EWR then you can't ride anywhere. Its so wide, no massive cambers, lots of lines and every man and his dog practises there out of season. A track you can go all out on and take calculated risks, so good racing usually ensues, we are spoilt rotten!
