  1. Naah, the rumour is he's a Scorpion again
  2. Will Steve drive 30 minutes down the M180 to the EWR, or 5 hours up the M6/M74 to Glasgow?
  3. That's it keep up your daily average!!!! Definitely OCD on this forum. If you don't like people to see how many posts you have, then edit your profile
  4. Sorry can't be bothered to trawl through your 14677 posts, or average of 2.5 posts per day ,every day since 2007!!!
  5. Why must you repeat my response and everyone else's???
  6. His cut out came out, that is according to Poole website interview.
  7. Be as pedantic as you like. We won and we are Knock Out Cup Champions. Now lets get back to the p take of the whinging, bottling, Runners up
  8. Well done Scorpions Knockout Cup Champions 2023!!! Guess who is nailed on for first signing for 2024 season?
  9. Saturday forecast looks well dodgy, or should that be well for Dougy!!!
  10. Strong rumours Oxford are moving up, but its that time of year for loads of mutterings.
  11. We have lost Douglas, probably lost Kemp, MPT indicated earlier in the season this was his last year in the Championship. Ablitt has been poor, and Mountain has not kicked on. That leaves Jake and Lambo plus 5 others. Howarth is as good as Worrall around the EWR ,so take your pick. Rob's next protégé will be Luke Harrison, but probably a year too early to step up? Its all rumour until definitive points limit is agreed, but it sounds like Championship is being watered down. Seen some good racing this season, but fear next year there will be much more strung out races.
  12. No, Monarchs have seniority over everyone else for Friday nights, and to be correct its North Lincolnshire, with Lincolnshire being an entirely different county and Boston Barracudas long gone.
  13. Any truth in the rumour if 2nd leg not completed by end of the month then first leg result stands and Scorpions win K O Cup? 3 dates apparently agreed this months, with first one on Wed looking a potential wash out???
  14. Sunday has always been our back up day (apart from Bank Holiday Mondays occasionally) Personally I detest Sunday afternoon racing at the EWR, track is always so dry and slick and always goes away from us mid meeting.
  15. Been to Redcar enough times to notice when they are losing the tractors come out more. I prefer minimum delay, let tracks evolve and only grade if really necessary. At the EWR, track grader is the promoter, owner and often team manager as well as BSP Chairman!
  16. Seemed everyone was struggling with second bend. Several riders going into it and virtually stopping to get the bike turned. Tractors did their 26 laps up to heat 13, spoiling the flow of the meeting as usual at the STMP. Well done Scorpions you did us proud, just the Pirates left to beat to finish the season off in style- A big ask but who knows over 30 heats?
  17. Quite like the new presenter myself. Could still do with Rob's insider info and quips, but sometimes Rob needs to concentrate on the track conditions and how they evolve. A good solid team effort with everyone scoring useful points. Last night's Nathan Ablitt would definitely have scored more against Poole than he did on his previous 8 heats. All in all a good entertaining meeting, just hope we don't throw a good lead away like we usually do at Redcar.
  18. Hope Jake has got his blown engines rebuilt and back in his bikes.
  19. Seriously, its our regular Friday night race day!
  20. Congrats to the Pirates better on the night but we threw that one away. Dougy looked slow down the straights. Jake machine problems spoilt his night. MPT, moving twice no excuse, but should have gone off 15m. Drew looked slow with machinery problems. Ablitt given too many rides and was pathetic. Connor , his season is going backwards and not kicked on. It was clear, as soon as a never to be seen blade came out, the track was not its usual self and the shale put down a massive mistake- clearly Rob's fault. Gutted tonight with title out of reach, but still the cup to play for.
  21. Nice to see the Poole fans back tracking and making excuses already. There are several EWR track specialists among the Pirates and it all comes down to who stays upright, who stays within the rules and who has the biggest desire. This match is a very hard one to call and is anyone's guess on the result. Personally a Scorpions v Bears final , is the best outcome for me!
  22. Nice to see Pirates fans already writing the Scorpions off, we like to be the under dogs. Look at our side. Ryan Douglas not topping the averages for nothing. MPT just coming back to form after a two month break. Lambo riding his socks off everywhere. Jake , always a dark horse capable of big wins. Connor due a big score. Drew, could be an ace at Reserve. Finally Nathan, lots to prove to the club that let him go. If we keep it close on this leg, its ours for the taking at the EWR.
  23. Watching the GP rider under performing was very embarrassing, but local lad, Luke Harrison, did so much better than him too.
