  1. Must have been the two Munchkins walking around singing something about a wicked witch being dead A good meeting with plenty of passing, but bit agrieved about letting the Diamonds back into it. Josh seemed to want to prove he is number one and wants to stay that way.Lewis Kerr looked well capable, Steve Worrall had a dreadful night on a track he knows so well- expect he will score a lot more at Brough Park. Jury still out on young Mr Bates, may be a step to far, too early and a good reserve can be crucial to a team. Sure Rob and Mr Peet are playing the long game, but I need convincing quick.
  2. Two miles away, dry but overcast, 10 degrees( heat wave) and no wind- perfect for speedway.
  3. 1st Michael Palm Toft - winning time of 57.79 2nd Joe Haines 3rd Ricky Wells Fozzie you beat me to the button by 3 seconds
  4. It is heartening to see nice words from the Somerset fans, you are a credit to your team. 30 laps of pure entertainment from the Rebels and the Scorpions ,unfortunatly someone had to miss out- best of luck for next season.
  5. Oh dear such a sad loser, have not heard such drivel from a female Worky fan for a least a day!
  6. Thats funny we seemed to have the PL Championship trophy in our hands last night. We all knew the format at the start of the season ,like it or not.
  7. You keep all the others, we won the league nobody remembers the rest
  8. You had to be there to appreciate it was not gate and go at all-newcomers would have loved the drama!!!! Well done to both teams , 30 nail biting heats and down to a last heat clincher-classic play off again.
  9. Overcast but drying at the moment, weather is coming from your direction so hopefully dry York way?
  10. More like April weather- Sun, light shower, sun , light shower, blue sky again at the moment fingers crossed it stays that way
  11. Bit different at 3pm to what it was 6 hours earlier. The track staff were trying their damndest, blading, laying more shale but persistant drizzle no chance. If its any consolation its still raining now. Shame for the travelling fans but they said they had only seen odd showers travelling up and only last 20 miles was the rain more persistant. Damned if you call it off early and damned for waiting for the weather too-just cant get over the crap wet season all tracks have had to endure. Lets hope next year brings good weather and good crowds or more teams will go to the wall.
  12. Clouded up a bit , but still fine. Weather is coming from Sheffield direction so you Tiggers will get any weather 20 mins before us
  13. One mile away, sun trying to break through the clouds, slight cool breeze, track will be spot on.
  14. Strange I have the same view about Scorpions at the OTA. Hope both ties are good close racing on the two best tracks in the country, however the Scorpions hopefully just have the edge come Sunday night.
  15. Hmmm the bitter Diamond's fan supports the even more bitter Comet fan, get over it we are in the final. If we win fine, if we don't we are still runners up whichever route you want to go, Mini League results or main standings. I for one have watched my team come bottom of the league on several occasions since 1975 ,so please, let us have our moment for once.We have enjoyed a cracking season ,with many handicaps, but we have all worked for each other, fans, riders and management, I will personally look back on this year's successes with some pride in my team.
  16. MPT in your team ,you are all deluded, dream on.
  17. If both are rained off, do Scorpions win the league on home and away aggregate from earlier league encounters at Somerset and Scunthorpe.
  18. Well there's a suprise! Ringers, what ringers-ding ding round 3 Worky boys an girls.
  19. First and foremost I am a Scorpion supporter. I want to see us in the final . With all due respect Tommy is not up to PL level as even the most fervent Tommy supporter ,friend ,family or mechanic should admit. He has had odd flashes of form for the Saints ( I have watched him all season too) and I am sure, given time he may well come more to the fore, however as far as being in the Monarchs line up, the Comets must be rubbing their hands. This is not the time to be put up against a full strength Comet team in such a crucial match that affects the Scorpions league final aspirations. It puts undue pressure on the lad against seasoned campaigners -I also watched Kyle and Ash come through the Saints ranks but be propelled upwards in a far more controlled fashion. I wish young Tommy well but fear Edinburgh have made a big mistake with a weaker line up-go ahead Tommy and make me eat my words and score a maximum
  20. Tommy Fenwick can hardly hold down a Saints reserve spot, he is not PL standard by a long way, surely much stronger option available?
  21. Me neither, thought about going home after 10 heats at Mildenhall- so glad I stayed!!!
  22. Scunny can do no more ,only wait for Worky to beat Monarchs at home then Monarchs to beat Worky at home. We then go through to final with dare I say it ...Somerset.But then if Rebels lose at home the Lions are back in the frame.... It used to be so much easier when one with most points won the league, but play off finals are great atmosphere- Well Saints v Mildenhall was last year.
