Rob Godfrey runs Stockcars to make money to keep his beloved Speedway running. Speedway will survive at the EWR no doubt about it, as Rob is so passionate about this sport. He is not under the influence of landlords and can run events when he wants. We are not having the best season but the racing is still superb on an excellent track. I for one prefer a settled night track to a 5.30 afternoon meeting with the varying track conditions.

Did not say he was just a gater. After watching both brothers over several seasons around the EWR going from wobblers to good riders, in my opinion Steve is a better gater, but Richie is the more entertaining racer.

Well we won the toss and that was about all. A pretty dire performance on the road again.

Always like watching Kyle myself, fast, stylish and fair rider. The guests make Diamonds stronger around the EWR, with Richie the overtaking Worrall, rather than his gating brother. It should be a close contest with probably the reserves making the biggest diference.

Home advantage? Then the Scunny pair will walk this.

Some really poor refereeing today- probably worst I have seen in 40 years watching the sport. Totally ruined the match and did not even bother to watch heat 15, that is how disillusioned with the whole debacle I was.

Decent meeting? Most heats over by 2nd bend, I thought racing was poor and so did the Sheffield fans stood next to me.

Tap into potentially 50000 plus students and Sheffield Speedway could make loads of money, just on bars and food. With a new intake every year a potential goldmine with a few flyers spread around campus. If Scorpions can manage to give Student concessions why can't others? It only needs Student union card id , much the same as the OAP scheme concession.

Why is it Sheffield Speedway do not offer concessions to Students? Two major universities and many colleges and you expect them to pay full adult price, defo missing a trick here- and yes I do have a daughter at University of Sheffield and resent paying on top of her fees , loans, housing etc that I already pay to the Sheffield economy.

The usual Scunny and Auty haters out in force again. No wonder riders get disgruntled, disinterested, disillusioned and despairing with constant deriding of them. Scunny fans happen to like Josh, he made a rash decision which he now regrets and will be back in the fold very soon. We are at the wrong end of the league, abiding by the rules, so what's the fuss? Just live with it, life is too short for trivial things in this of all weeks.

Is there a witch hunt out for Josh Auty? There are 3 others under performing at the head of the queue before Josh and they are well known. Speedway is a confidence game and we have a big shortage of that. Josh , Wilko and Ryan great to watch blasting around the outside in the dirt, but this season all are hugging the inside??? Not a fan of the 5.30pm home start for us as the track is unpredictable -much prefer a later start up personally. One day they will all hit a purple patch and some favourable side will get a hiding-just seems a long way off right now. Keep the faith!

Why bother when Scorpions are 20 minutes away.

The problem is the lack of wind protection around the microphone and either speaking too close, or too far away from it. It is not just Rodger, we never caught a word of Rob's conversation with TJ either. For what its worth, Roger when he can be heard, conducts some interesting conversations with supporters. Rob please buy a sports microphone and replace the speaker ( or alternatively turn it to face into the stand) just after the start line as the sound is terrible. Thanks. ps- any chance of some cheap air horns so the kids can make some noise and create more of an atmosphere.

No pleasing some- Park outside on the industrial estate and save £1 and eat faster.

Fozzie at least your favourite rider will not be riding, so you can't blame him for any upsets tomorrow.

Why single out Josh? His performance was on a par with the rest of the team barring MPT.

A massive performance from MPT and the others chipping in to gain an unexpected point-well done.

Our only chance is a rain off with no recognised reserves.

We must do better on the road this season. Given that so far our form has been unsatisfactory, Rob has had words and the team will kick on now, hopefully.
