Ellis is expected to gain more points at away matches, that was Rob's thinking, so lets see how it pans out starting tonight.

A very fair and balanced write up of the match on the Edinburgh Monarchs site. -

I am sure even the most fervent away supporters from Glasgow and Edinburgh must have enjoyed their visits to the EWR, despite the results for them. The last 30 Championship heats at the EWR have produced some exceptional racing and all credit to riders of the three teams. Yesterday from the outset it was clear The Monarchs are a top heavy team and fairly weak for the other 4 positions. Around the EWR , any of the Scorpion riders are capable of big scores and Yesterday that proved the case. Jordan Palin had a terrific meeting for someone still very young and learning their trade and looks a fine prospect for the future big stage. Special shout out to our guest, sometimes guests just go through the motions, but yesterday Ully was well up for the task. It was nice to see him taking his plaudits and ever smiling, well done sir. Only negative from the meeting ,after two showers I am still getting shale out of my hair! -

Must have been in the stand after the start where the P.A. system is crap. -

Always on a wing and a prayer when riders double up, knowing they are racing on Thursday and then for us on the Friday. Well at least Josh is back -

Is Josh Auty riding after his injury last week? -
Think Tero is under pressure to have a decent score this Friday, or I can see an axe swinging over his head.

Winning the league??? Jeez, I'd settle for getting in the play offs this season!
-
Yes, fair comment. He looks very good for three years out of it and is holding his own with plenty of determination.

Message to Mr Godfrey. What an abysmal sound system you have especially the speaker facing the stand just after the start. It has been poor for at least 3 seasons and the people in the stand have to shout across to the other side to ask results and times. There is absolutely no point announcing riders, times etc when they are at the starting gate because the engines totally drown out what you are saying. What is the point of having a scoreboard if it is not used? The old faithful in this stand are getting very frustrated with the whole Announcing/ PA System, please change the speaker, update it , and get the scoreboard up and running. Rant over, Thank You. -

Track changed when Steve Worrall was in the team and didn't like the outside dirt line. Now he's gone who dictates the track conditions, the current senior riders, or trackman Rob??? -

A couple of days off, but the weather forecast for Thursday and Friday looks very iffy with heavy rain and strong winds. It might test the new track drainage! -
Personally I hate team Kevlars and find it easier to distinguish riders with individual suits.

Me too,all sorted, thanks Fozzie.

I can't get it to print the tickets either . I have an order reference, can see the item but won't print 'em. Last year's ticketing was so much better.

I had high hopes of the original line up, but now fear we are pretty weak. This season looks like it will be full of ups and downs and to cap it all no long weekend at Somerset and Cardiff this year either. I don't think it will be a case of which teams stay injury free, but probably a case of which teams can stay intact throughout the season with all the Covid chaos affecting riders travelling. We are fortunate for any kind of league racing ,but personally whoever comes out top ,it will feel like a hollow victory.
