Oh dear, a lot of fair weather whingers on here. Weather in Scunthorpe was dry all day and 24c. Light spits and spots at around 6.30pm, track was looking good. Start was delayed due to lots of people sitting in their cars pondering to go or not into the stadium and heavy rain to the West- where the travelling fans were coming from. The track was heavy for first 4 heats and was drying out fast after that. It started raining again at heat 13, when match result was in no doubt. Heavy rain during and after heat 14, so match wound up. Basically one team wanted to race and other beaten before a wheel was turned. TJ was immaculate blasting around the track, Lambo great at reserve, a good guest In Kasper, and the rest all chipped in just where needed. Scunthorpe's ex captain Worrall and ex Scorpion Douglas kept us lively and the rest were pretty average. Your manager made a pratt of himself too!

Ok basically we need Dougie to blow two engines tonight! All the thunderstorms currently missing us and 25 miles distant, so hope Rob has flooded the track.

All Scorpions need to be on top form to beat the table toppers. Who is guesting this week? Could well be rained off looking ahead at Friday's forecast.

Well done Lions your gating was better than ours and with no outside line the racing by our usual standards, was pretty average. We are now looking over our shoulders, watching teams below catching up in the league points, our remaining matches look well difficult too.

Well rider replacement makes this one even harder to predict and could go either way. Jake and Tofty may well scupper our chances and we need our reserves to step up and score big.

Looks a difficult meeting on paper and everyone needs to be on their A game. Having said that, the potentially difficult home matches were easier won and the harder matches were against the lesser fancied teams.

Personally I would rather pay £17 with a free programme at Scunny, than have to pay extra admission or, extra payment for a programme.

If Scunthorpe Scorpions really have ambition, then Mr Godfrey has to bite the bullet again and make changes. Loyalty goes out of the window and Josh Macdonald has to go, we cannot carry passengers. I don't care if he has come halfway around the world .
