If Sheffield Eagles Rugby League team move to Owlerton, they may wish to use the stadium Sundays.

Berwick V Sheffield Ricky Ashworth Meeting 28/9/2013 @7pm
RS50 replied to screm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Can not get to the match. Will there be DVD'S made of the match?. Would buy one if the profits go to Ricky. -
Is Hall injured. I noticed he did not ride at Rye House but not sure why.
-
I presume there was a reason he did not ride. However, the preview on Friday indicated he was riding, Saturdays report said he was not. No reason why given. Is he injured?, as I thought I heard his name mentioned for Thursday's match against Australia (was announced while bikes revving so could be wrong)

Sheffield Select V Rye House (pl)... 18th July @ 7.45pm

In case the announcer "has a go at me" like I am told he once did at another poster on this forum, I was not trying to encourage anyone to stay away. I was trying to encourage the management to give us some information as to who we will be paying to see this Thursday. Less than 24 hours to tapes up so I am sure some decisions have been made by now. -

Just read on Rye House website that James Sargeant guesting for Koppe on Saturday. Sheffield website has recently been updated, but no information about Thursday or Saturday's match. Would be nice if they told us who will be riding. Who knows, if they tell me I may come down and give them £15.00. Nice incentive for them to tell us. -

Said in last weeks' prog, guest for Stead would be Lawson at Sheffield, Auty at Rye House -
I do not think it was ever the intention to use any of our top 3.
-
Very much doubt if Compton will be back. Would be interesting to see what the reaction is to any Sheffield rider who fails to deliver, on Thursday against National League opposition.

They did last year, and I presume they will this year.

I read recently that Machin is pleased with season ticket sales. Has anyone who bought a season ticket, been told if the Tiger Token can be used in the snack bar or just the public bar (or even towards buying a carvery). Can they be "carried forward" and used the follwing week if you do not want to use it on night of issue. Has anyone heard any more about the offer to allow you to use a season ticket at away tracks in order to obtain admission at a discounted price. It seems to me the incentive to but a season ticket has changed but not fully explained. With the offer saying it is based on a minimum of twently matches would also like to know what the extra fixtures would be if Sheffield did not progress in the Cup Trophy or qualify for the play offs (not to mention the possiblilty that the weather could hamper chances of this Thursday's match being off.
-
Is it any different ro both riders wanting the one point on offer when they are losing a heat 5 - 1?
-
Season ticket no longer holds much appeal to me as I do not use car park or bar. Does anyone know if the Tiger tokens can be used in the snack bar (or even the restauranr), or just the public bar. If they are not used one week can you use them the following week?
-
Does it matter? Most dogs around the Owlerton area can not drive.
-
Would not mind if we could swap Robin (Aspegren) for our number 7.
-
So we have the season ticket price remaining at £300 for 2013. Included in the fixtures are he PLRC, British Semi and international. If the Sheffield Management read this could they clarify which, if any of these matches season tickets will be valid for. I assume as in past years they are not valid for PLRC. If I remember correctly, in 2010 season tickets were valid for the British Semi (but no free programme) in 2011 admision had to be paid for but we got programme free so not sure which will apply in 2013. Not sure what will apply for the international.

Meeting Formats - Can Anyone Help.
RS50 replied to a4poster's topic in International World of Speedway
This is something I received from Premier Sports and copied Sorry did not come out right so I deleted it was in excel format -
Did they say what dates these are on?. Also was there any definate announcement of race day. I am sure that it will soon be time for draft fixtures to be done, and will therefore need to be decided.

Now on Sheffield Speedway website, Hall has signed for 2013. Says he is delighted with deal. Would it be so different to the deal on offer to Wells?
-
Thanks for the info

Was in last weeks Speedway Star that Benji is looking to make a comeback. Ricky Wells can not make it pay, but Benji Compton (unlikely to average 6.5 in the premier league) wants to make a comeback. It makes you wonder who can and can not make the sport pay.
-
Thought Benji had retired. I was at Scunthorpe for what was announced as his last ever ride. He had engine failure at the tapes so not the finish he would have wanted.

Should not take as long to do this year. Looking at the minimum number of official fixtures over three years; 2011 13 League 6 Second Phase, and 1 KO Cup, total 20 2012 12 League 5 Pre-season tourney 1 KO Cup total 18 2013 12 League 2 Pre-season tourney 1 KO Cup total 15. Has there been any official statement about why the number keeps reducing (or failing this speculation from posters on this forum)?? With less fixtures could make it more financially challenging for the riders, and be many gaps in the fixure list for the fans.
