One point I would like to make. Surely with less fixtures, and no championship/premiership doubling up issues, should be possible to issue fixtures a lot earlier. Not convinced it will happen though.
Will be interested to see how they are priced. Lat year 18 League and 1 cup match guaranteed. This year (I assume teams will only face each other once in league) 10 League, 3 League cup and 1 KOC only guaranteed, so looks like 5 less guaranteed matches.
How about
Josh Grajczonek 9.47
Kyle Howarth 8.62
Josh Bates 6.54
Justin Sedgeman 6.17
Mark Riss 5.68
James Shanes 3.68 (think this is converted average)
George Wood 2.31
Total 42.47
So what happened? Stoke preview on their website said there would be 36 races including 6 MDL races. If the match started at 6pm would have assumed plenty of time.
Could have had firework display and rider of year presentation while waiting. Anyone know who won rider of year. Also did not seem any urgency to get on with it, unlike the recent Thursday double header.
BBC have forecast rain until after the scheduled start time so fair chance could be off. I believe however that there is still an obligation to stage the match before the season ends.
Actually it is 6 against 6.
Second leg called off already, due to a forecast of rain. Just looked at BBC forecast. Not too much rain forecast for Leicester Wednesday (roughly about the same amount as for next Monday the re-staging date)..
