  1. Went to the Shay a few years ago, to see rugby league. Seem to recall distance between pitch, and crowd area nowhere near enough for a speedway track.
  2. Thanks for doing this. Would be fun to have one for all three leagues next year.
  3. Sorry to hear this. Bengt was one of the most entertaining riders at Sheffield.
  4. I've calculated my score, using final averages (excluding bonus points)on BSPL website, as 43.98. Anyone else like to do their scores?
  5. Can't say for certain, but my gut feeling is that it is not the former speedway rider.
  6. Anyone tell me what time the Scunthorpe leg of the final, on Sunday 29th September starts?. May come down if it's no later than 3pm.
  7. Well said sir. At the start of the season my only concern about the Ipswich team was, that as a Sheffield fan, they represented a big threat to our chances of staying champions. My take on the Ipswich team. A powerful top two, using up a lot of the points available. Possibly the best RS in the league. Rew and Jenkins two riders with hopefully some improvement in them, team building helped by Jenkins 25% reduction. Adam Ellis, finished his 2023 season at Sheffield with an average around 5.42. Yet in 2021 he took his average up to 8.3, despite moving to the more difficult number 5 position. I assume, when signed, Ipswich was hoping he would go back to his 2021 standard. Danny King is an ok middle order rider in that team. As far as the criticism of him " bottling heats 13 and 15" I remember him getting praised at Sheffield for what he did in those races. Yes I know Sheffield were 2nd tier at that time, but Danny is still a decent number 1 or 5 at that level. Don't blame him for the injury to Jason or Emil.
  8. I'm sure you are right about the rider, but it won't have been at Newcastle. I've never been there.
  9. Vaguely recall an incident, probably at Scunthorpe. A rider with just one foot on the footrest, pulled in the clutch, revved the bike, aimed it the rider he was angry with, then let go of the clutch, and jumped off the bike, firing it at him. I believe he may have been sacked on the spot. Anyone else remember this?
  10. Aren't Eurosport supposed to televise matches, not determine who races who, and when. A decision could have been made for which teams were at home on which date, with opponents TBC. After Monday, if Leicester don't beat Kings Lynn, we would know top four finishing order,.

  12. Could make sense to let riders guest for the opposition of teams they want to lose.
  13. Could someone inform me. If a team wants a guest, do they need permission from any other club? If so which club. A rider may have two, or occasionally three teams in this country, and could be an asset of a different club. Could also ride for a team abroad.
  14. I seem to recall that Neil Machin wanted to widen the track, by cutting in to the infield , but was refused permission by stadium owner.
  15. This is what difficult to find a team can look like. Match still raced though.
  16. More likely to get the Jubilee cup ridden before Kings Lynn complete their fixtures.
  17. I seem to remember that from a few years ago. Could have changed though.
  18. RS must be at 7, unless average takes him in to the top 5. If RS not a reserve, lowest average rider must be number 7.
  19. This should answer your question https://www.scbgb.co.uk/news.php?extend.187
