Italian Grand Prix - Lonigo
crazysue replied to Subedei's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I have to disagree Subedei....that has to be the best GP I have ever been to and that includes Cardiff. The atmosphere was electric, the racing was pretty damn good and the track was fast. I would love to go back again next year. -

Bloody amazing experience!! That is my honest opinion, certainly one of the best GP's I have been to, the atmosphere even 3 hours before it began was awesome and it just got better as the night went on. We were standing on the back straight right up by the fence and I the racing from there was not dire or boring but bloody fast and sometimes a bit eeeekkkk as the bikes were passing no more than a few feet in front of us (reminded me of Exeter) Last night confirmed that speedway fans have to be the friendliest people around, no knowledge of a Language was no barrier to conversation, in fact we had maintained a conversation with the Polish group just behind us for most of the night despite I know zilch Polish and they only English they knew was Ipswich Witches and John Louis!! Amazing what you can do with sign language. I would come here again next year if I could, the whole weekend has been brilliant from start to finish. FTM...you mean I actually did well???? -
Oh Main Man, how I wish it had been due to falling down water then the others wouldn't be taking the mickey out of me quite so much. The fact of the matter was I was stone cold sober, not a drop of alcohol in sight! It didn't ruin my night last night though, just had several beers and I was feeling no pain by the the time the GP started!! Today is a different matter though, strong painkillers later and I can just about move about without too much pain..........the worst part is that now everytime we come across a kerb the others shout out to me...."Kerb!!! Sue watch out!!"

A few more beers.....a few more hours to sit in the sun..... Bliss!! A few more hours to get over falling over a bloody step in a Decenzano street and sprawling over the pavement!!! Ouch!!

I would love to see Scott do well in this GP, not only because I am over here to watch the GP but also because it would give him an excellent chance of getting an automatic place for next year. Scott didn't practice yesterday, I think because of a knock on Thursday night but the rest seemed to have a good old go on the track. By the end of the 2 hour session there were a few holes appearing, one in particular that caught Antonio and he came a cropper and ended up bouncing down the straight. The weather has been absolutely beautiful today, lovely sunshine and very very hot, Matt Davis,my son James, Emma and Chivs have been out on Lake Garda on the peddaloes .....with Chivs and Davis deciding to go for a little swim fully clothed. Lets hope the weather holds and we don't have a repeat of the rain and lightning that arrived just after practice finished yesterday....when it rain here, god it really rains!! -
Italian Gp Are There Many Going?

Oh yes, I intend to have a brilliant time...had a bit of a panic today, went up town and got my euro's, came home and just sort of dropped the bags on the floor. When I got back from the school run I asked youngest if he would like to count my euros and he said yes....and I couldn't find the bloody things!!! Mad panic followed with stuff being uprooted in the front room and me becoming ever more in stress and panic mode untill I finally discovered I had put them in a safe place and had forgotten about it. -

They were treated to a fine display from the up and coming British talent, in this first Test Match, between the Under 16’s, and Under15’s of Peter Oakes Youth Academy. Fourteen years old Joshua Auty looked a cut above the rest, with a fine display to return a 12 maximum, on his first look at the Oak Tree arena circuit. He produced some very quick times, with his last, 60.60 secs, not far behind some of the times recorded in the earlier Premier League encounter. Not too far behind him, in points scoring at least, came Tim Webster, with a fine 8 points from three rides. Another who looks to be a future prospect, is Ben Taylor who, had in not been for an engine failure in his last ride, would have returned at least 8+3 from his 4 rides, as it was he had to make do with 6+2. Shane Waldron, who had been one of Auty’s main rivals in last years Under 15 Championship, had a disappointing evening, with an EF, and only three third places to show for his night’s endeavours. Brendon Johnson was another on the score sheet with two wins, and a third from 3 rides. The ends result was a 19-29 win for the Under 15’s side, in a match where all rider rode with enough enthusiasm, and commitment to show that we have a great crop of young stars coming through the ranks. The only disappointment was that the other rising start of British Speedway, Lewis Bridger, was not here to take on Auty, as that would have been a match up to produce the fireworks. New Track In Croatia ...
crazysue replied to TwoMinuteWarning's topic in International World of Speedway
Awesome looking stadium, yet another reason to visit Croatia in the future, along with being able to get a cheap place to stay courtesy of a work colleague and being able to speak some Croatian. -
And I was just copying and pasting!! I didn't cover the meeting, just copied and pasted over from the updates site, so I can't be sure of what really went on but it does indeed seem to be very petty.

U15's Championships Round 5 @ Newport 14/8
crazysue replied to crazysue's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
I think for any of the lads taking part it is very well done. I know my son reads all these comments and keeps asking why he can't do the same (he is nearly 12) but I don't think it would do my stress levels any good, especially after the fright he gave me on the Sittingbourne training track . I keep telling him to stick to the swimming, less stressful for dear old mum -

Hi Mimmo Looking through, Jamie Pickard got a second in heat 7 but has only been put down for 1 point....I will amend his individual score and it should then be correct. As for your other question, I am afraid I do not know the answer.
