  1. Arggghhhhhhhh that is the first day of our annual holiday!! Oh well, will have to go away a week later next year.
  2. They were both as bad as each other!! Hans with his 6ft wide elbows and trying to get on Scott's bike on the home straight and Scott for the hefty thump and taking Hans leg away into the corner. It reminded me of the kids arguing over a toy....it was bound to end in tears. Excluded? If they were my kids, both would have sent to their rooms with the loss of pocket money!
  3. For those without Sky (or those who just want to join in the chat), updates are available Here
  4. I have decided not to go to this now....wanted to but flights are now too dear and its not the same on your own. Plus of course I may be doing something rather special around that time

  6. Oh dear......you are not making yourself very popular here are you? There have been plenty of comments from males about this very same matter, something which you seemed to have ignored. I would hope that I have (and every other female come to that) respect on this and any other forum and indeed in general life outside of it, we are not all dizzy airheads just like not all blokes are w*****s. I have taken a lot of time and effort to learn the rules of speedway (hard when they change them all the bloody time), I leave personal thoughts of a riders physical attributes at the door when commenting on matters. Your post (trying hard to attack the post and not the poster here) leaves me with the impression that you believe that just because you have a larger appendage down below, that that gives you the right to know it all and that all females (most who have larger appendages at the top) are silly little girls who only think of bums and really have no idea of anything else. Oh and I also know the offside rule in Football!!! I am also a huge fan of boxing, Formula 1, athletics etc...just call me my fathers daughter even though he is the biggest chauvinistic person I could ever meet but at least he did me the one favour of treating me as an equal when it came discussions regarding sport!
  7. And this is exactly the reason why I didn't want Chris to take part. I knew that if he didn't show well that all of a sudden those who were calling for his inclusion would then also make him the scapegoat. As General Melchitt has said, look at who he was up against in quite a few of his heats....I really can't see how Stead could have done better against that opposition and I must admit to saying to myself when I saw the heat line ups...oh bugger, Chris is going to get it in the neck now. At least he tried all the way, not gave up and trailed around at the back like some I have seen over the years.....Chris gave 110%. I did text to another forum member after Chris' first heat....oh bugger, wait for everyone to start slating him and then when Bomber came last twice and Scott once, I said what about them!!!
  8. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour......and the sort that is bound to get the Brit supporters a bad name.

  10. To put it into context.... I was willing to pay out £55 for me and the boys to get in tomorrow, add in drinks, food and any other merchandise and you would be getting close to the £100 Instead they are getting nothing from and I doubt I am the only one who has now made the decision not to go at the last minute because of the high child prices.
  11. Hmm well that has made my mind up..... I was not going to go at first because funds were limited and I wasn't sure GB would get through to the final (plus the fact of limited drink/food and toilets in the stadium), then when we got to the race off, I thought, I could go to this and started making plans to go to the race off last night. Stuff happened which prevented me but as funds have improved (thanks Standard Life)and because it looked a great atmosphere last night, I had all but decided to go tomorrow, I had even got to the stage of working out what time to leave!! Unfortunately now though, at £25 a ticket, it will cost me £100 (1 adult and 3 kids), so I think I will say up yours BSI, I'll watch on Sky thankyou very much and treat me and the kids to a slap up chinese meal, get some decent wine in and still be quids in. To my view, if an event has been publicised at a certain price for adults, children and OAP's then those prices should remain the same. If they are likely to change just 1 day before the event (because they think that some of us are a bit stupid and will spend silly amounts of money because Team GB are there) then they should state that on the advertisements...but then of course they wouldn't do that would they? Nah, they would be accused (quite rightly) of money grabbing.

  17. Although an Ippo and Louis fan, I would be rather apprenhensive of Chris being relied on. Not sure why but he has recently not had good showings on such high a level, yes he has in league meetings but this is completely different. It feels rather judas saying that but that is my feeling and I shall now await my slap from Tabby,Robyn and Shazzy!!
  18. Anyone not with Sky can still 'watch' the meeting on the updates site......link Here Why not come and join us and support your country
  19. Strangely enough, on the day of the British Championship, Danny was riding in the U21 semi final in Lezno......qualifying for the final. Unfortunately, he is not able to be in 2 places at one time.
  20. I was speaking generally.....and I tend not to sulk but to look at performances as a whole. Danny has out performed Ed on the U21 stage this season......Danny is doing extremely well in an EL position (ok maybe at no6 in the team but was our top scorer last night and if he continues in the same vein, it won't be long before he moves into the team proper). All I was saying is it would be nice if some of the hype thrown at Kennett was put Danny's way.....especially on his U21 performance this season. Oh and I think you will find that although I have an Ipswich avatar, that I am more of a general speedway fan, I only go to Ippo because it is the closest track.
