Have to put that this meeting is being sponsored (at the track not on here) by www.hireacanalboat.co.uk Ellis Perks has just had a few laps and heat 1 should start in a few mins. Heat 1 All over after the first bend Heat 2 Halsey fell on 2nd lap and is excluded, bit of argy bargy between Mear and Halsey during the race. Heat 2 Mear went round Warwick 2nd bend. Heat 3 Good battle for 3rd with Smethills and Brown Heat 4 Smart last to 2nd on 2nd lap but couldn't catch Evans Heat 5 Hard 1st bend with Bargh being sent wide. Heat 6 Herne very hard on Mear on back straight with Mear hitting the fence after Herne left him no room. Heat 8 Evans fell on 1st bend but ref let race go on, Woffinden by half a lap, only way he is going to be beat is if he has an engine failure! Heat 9 Auty last to 2nd on third lap, good race. Heat 12 Burrows hit the fence hard on 3rd bend but is now up, he is excluded from the re-run Ellis Perks going around again although he took a nasty tumble on 2nd bend Heat 13 Auty passed Taylor going into the 3rd bend Heat 14 Good race, all riders were very close, Halsey nearly got 3rd but bike probs just before the line Heat 15 From the gate Heat 17 Good race for 2nd Heat 18 Bargh fell on 3rd bend and is excluded from the re-run Heat 19 Lambert was 2nd until the 2nd lap when Burrows passed him, Brown took 3rd on last lap Heat 20 From the gate
  2. Well..... Is there anyone going to this meeting who would be able to text updates to the updates site? If so, could you please either leave a message here or send me an email or pm.
  3. £95 but I have been warned that this could well increase (by other forum members) so I will probably end up not staying there after all! I stayed at the Copthorne this year and yes it is a lovely hotel and they can provide transport to and from the stadium but we wanted to meet up with friends after the GP.....then had a hell of a job getting back to the hotel.
  4. Thanks for that, as a just in case, I have booked my room already.....wanted to get one nearer this time as it was horrendous getting back to my Cardiff outskirts hotel this year!
  5. 21st, Tobi has a very near 6 point average, albeit most of that scored at reserve. In the last fortnight at home since moving up into the main team (at number 4), he has scored 8+1 (against Coventry) and 9+3 (against Swindon), admitedly his away average is not so good and he had an especially bad night against Wolves on Monday. As I said before, very difficult one to choose, Smoli's form has been very good this season as has Tobi's, with maybe Smoli just edging it in league terms as he has been at number 4 for most the season while Tobi has not, while Tobi's qualification through to the GP qualifier final also having to count somewhere. Whoever is chosen, you can bet that fans of the rider not chosen will be saying...well xxxxx could have beaten xxxx in that heat.

  7. Not sure if you have noticed but Tobi has also been having a great season in the British leagues too......moving out of reserve into the main body of the team and increasing his average by almost 2 points. Personally I am undecided between Smoli and Tobi, both have done well this season and both deserve the wild card, maybe Tobi being in the qualifiers was the thing that finally decided it.
  8. Hmmm Not sure my parents would actually believe that, one thing they are not is silly!
  9. Hmmm wonder if I can push my luck and get my parents to have the boys again this year.....they already said after the Cardiff weekend, no more this year. Would be a shame to miss it as I have been to the last 5 and really enjoy the day out.
  10. Is there anyone going to this who would be able to text updates to the updates site (our texter decided to go on holiday this week!), if you can help, can you please either leave a message here or send me an email or pm. Thanks
  11. In fact Crazysue was at the time not even near the pc and was down at her parents trying to calm her father who has just received the date for his major heart operation! I merely copied over the results from the Updates..... Furthermore, those who know me also know that I would NEVER make comments about riders in that way.

Doolan won by a mile. Raining heavy now, and tractors have taken to the track. Heat 03: Smith looped at the start and that was end of his race. Holder won by a mile and nearly crashed on last bend. Heat 04: Absolute ridiculous decision made by ref Christina Turnball, Watson was on inside Kus on outside, Watson hit fence on bend 1, Kus cut to inside and Wato hit him onto the grass, and ref says ALL 4 BACK Re-run: Makovsky passed Kus on bend 3 and 4 on lap 1. Heat 05: Moore had engine Failure while 3rd on lap 3. Heat 06: Burza would struggle to beat Katajisto judgeing by tonights performance, Holder is worth entrance money alone. Heat 07: Ref is bloody useless, Rempala won the race by a good 2 feet, but blind Christina awarded it to Watson. Watson was on outside and Rempala inside at run to tapes. Smith hit tapes and went off 15 metres. Heat 08: Holder won with fastest time of the season, Kus was 2nd coming out of bend 2, Makovsky went round outside and Casper then took him on bend 3 lap 2. Andrew Moore has withdrawn as he only bought 1 bike and he knackered that up. Apparantly Watson did win Heat 07, but the texter didnt really see it that way. Heat 09: Excellent ride from Doolan to ride round Franc. They had a junior race earlier which took about 4hrs. And now Rob Hollingworth is gonna race Rob Grant, fortunately for Hollingworth is he is on the inside, so Grant can't fence him. If anyone was interested Grant won. Heat 10: Watson went all funny on bend 1 and never recovered, Andrew Moore was missing rider in that heat. Kus used Francs bike and looked really good, and came round for a lap of honor after, to thank the fans. Heat 11: Smith passed Rempala bend 3 and 4 last lap. and then did a deserved lap of honor complete with doughnuts. Doolan and Holder advance straight to final. Watson, Franc, Makovsky and Rempala make up Semi So the Grand final will be Chris Holder, Kevin Doolan, Craig Watson and Michal Makovsky. Junior races first tho before final. Many thanks to Molotov and his Comrade Starling who stand against the facists lmao. And night all Congrats to Kev Doolan

Grieves excluded from the re-run. Heat 8 Woodward excluded from re-run , harshly in Davy's opinion. Heat 11 Stopped, Stonehewer's bike seemed to seize which pushed over the handlebars. Ambulance on track but hopefully just as a precaution. Heat 13 Tessari replaces Stonehewer Heat 14 Tully replaces Stancl Heat 16 Watson excluded for interfering with Burza (had to laugh at that terminology, it sounds rude!)
