I've been seeing the 16 lapper since the 80's and I have to say I still get that little thrill of excitement, the heart going boompity boomp just before the tapes rise on the final. I've also got a lot more organised and now have a piece of paper with 1 to 16 written on it and write down what happens heat by heat with the aid of my spotters (two of my boys)....makes it much easier to text to updates! Mind you, my spotters disappeared just as the tapes rose last night, only to come back when we were on the 5th lap.

Hi...yeah my phone is having a mid life crisis at the moment and refusing to recognise the sim card and that is when it's not turning itself off and refusing to turn back on again! On my old phone with a different number..but that phone is not much better as it was the one which had excursions into a cup of tea several times! Have sent you a text a short while ago (before I checked here), hope you have received it.

Should have been on my side Tocha, I was not quite dancing but moving at least to the music...I also clapped (as much as I can when texting) when the riders came round. Not the most sparkling of meetings at Foxhall, have seen a lot better (and this season too!) with only a few heats of passing, the rest pretty processional.

Certainly will be, wouldn't miss it for anything! Have already told my lift that we need to leave earlier so that we can get our usual spot on the terraces....would be hell to pay from youngest if we didn't, he hates change.

Apparently it is the normal price of a league meeting....

We have the texter for this but due to a large number of the team actually going to this meeting, we are struggling for an updater.
