I'm afraid I don't have that Pirates of Poole but we are getting basic results from BFD who is at the U21. I am tacking them onto the SA titles but not in the main template, they are being added as replies in the general conversation in that thread. It was a bit of a panic wasn't it Bryn....my heart was going umpteem to the dozen and the phone almost got thrown through the window.

Although it would be weird seeing either Coventry or Peterborough in the NL, surely keeping speedway going is more vitally important. I love national league racing, sometimes more so than any other league as you get to see the future stars (I know there are a few exceptions), the little mistakes they make, make it unpredicatble and it is just so much simpler. Virtually none of the riders have the big egos of some of the better known riders, they are more accessable and are grateful for any assistance that can be given to them. Personally, I would be disappointed to see Peterborough in the NL as with the Elite being shut out to them, I was hoping they could go Premier and replace our newly lost derby against Kings Lynn...it is so much easier to get to Peterborough than it is Rye House!

I'll still be going! It took me a while to get my head around it but I have been mentally preparing myself since about August this year for a move into the premier. At first, I was dead against it but then I remembered my early seasons of going to speedway and the fact we were in the then National league and the fun people had on the northern tours. The prospect of seeing many different teams instead of the same ones several times really does appeal but the loss of the bigger names, quells the excitement a tad. Oh, and SteveP (my meeting updater), is really chuffed at the prospect of Ipswich in the Prem...he was getting bored with the repetitiveness of the Elite.

I saw lower ones in 2003 (my first season back after a near 10 year absence from the sport)....I will never forget the one man and his dog (or in my case, one woman and her son), feeling on the terraces for the Sky meeting, I think there was about 10 people (if that) standing on the terrace in front of the garden bar! Strangely, even though 2003 was a bad season, it still somehow reignited the speedway bug in me and I bought a season ticket for 2004!

I would probably still go if we went Prem...the idea of different teams is rather tempting to be honest but it would all depend on how much they were charging for admission. Elite league entrance fees as per this season - I wouldn't go, a price reduction - I probably would. My worry though would be, what if we struggle in the Premier too, especially as other premier teams would have had the jump on us for the decent riders.
