  1. You need to add on a bit more for my place Sandie...I don't live in Ippo but a further 20 - 30 mins down the road! On paper it looks nice and easy but in practice with the A12 and M25, it is not quite so easy, we left at 7.30 last year but didn't arrive at the hotel on the outskirts of Cardiff until nearly 3pm due to problems on the M25. The year before, I left at 9.30 am but didn't arrive in Cardiff until nearly 5pm, problems near Swindon (took me 2 hours to move 3 miles) this time plus the normal problems on the M25. Before that we went by coach and that always left at around the 9.30 - 10 am window but our arrival times was 3.30, 4pm and 4.30. Strangely, coming home we always manage to do it in about 5 to 5 and a half hours. Edit - Not that it bothers me about the time change for next year, I have booked to stay Friday anyway and will look forward to more drinking hours afterwards!
  2. Makes it more awkward for those having to travel any great distance as now instead of a hotel on the Saturday night, they need to have one on the Friday night instead! On our normal GP trip to Cardiff, we would only be arriving at 3.30 - 4pm and that was with leaving earlyish in the morning...mind you, we had already booked for Friday as well as Saturday for next year anyway as we had become sick and tired of rushing about trying to see everyone before the GP started or worrying about any traffic hold ups along the way.
  3. Is there anyone going to this meeting who would be able to text updates to the updates site? If so, could you please either leave a message here or send me an email or pm. Thanks
  4. Yep same here, this was one GP I was going to go to and even had my name down for the coach but couldn't make it in the end. The coach load of Ippo fans are not happy to say the least.....
  5. Yep I had a text from Badge and quite a bit of it is unrepeatable...lots of very unhappy speedway fans over there right now.
  6. And what about everyone's travel costs, hotels etc? I for one would be mightily peed off at this turn of events.....
  7. WHAT?? Are you serious? Blooming coach load of Ippo supporters went to this one....arrggghhh if true Edit - Can answer that myself, just had a text from Badge over in Germany, meeting def cancelled/postponed etc

  17. Blimey there is 3 threads now! Up until last night there wasn't even one! Bobc, please reconsider, it would be so great to finally meet up with you.
  18. So jealous of all of you going as Prague was one of my all time favourite GP's. Have fun everyone!
  19. Yep! Although I haven't yet experienced the Cardiff stagger....due to having to either come straight home on the coach or still be in sensible mode to get a bus or taxi back to my out of town hotel!
  20. I've done the travelling there and back the same day and also having a hotel on the outskirts...... Nope, def having a city centre hotel next year...so much easier and less hassle at the end of the day.
  21. Now that is my dream (apart from doing the VIP Methanol thing) for Cardiff! Alas the purse strings wouldn't quite stretch to that for next year but who knows, I may win the lottery and join you the year after!
