Too true Two of mine have been lost to the sport once they hit 16 and the adult price became payable...even worse was that as October borns, they still had another year at school before they could get a student card and the slightly reduced price that brings. For the first time since 2002, I am without any of my children at speedway this year...and I lost my teaboy in the process!

Re stadium improvements, I put off going to the loo until I could no longer as I just wasn't looking forward to removing any layers at all in a freezing cold toilet block...imagine my surprise at walking into a lovely and warm toilet when I finally did venture into the block. If I'd had known sooner, I would have spent most of the night in there I was that blooming cold!

Thanks guys, I couldn't have done it without Clint, Dave and Lunchy and my thanks go to them in return. I've no idea why but I get a real thrill from doing the series, I look forward to it every year!

Really enjoyed covering the champs this year and for once, no major disaster occured (I went through a run of falling down the stairs and beggering my shoulders in previous years). Pleased with the final result especially after the injuries Chris sustained last year, to come back from injury like that speaks of a true champion...can anyone tell I have a soft spot for him (in a very maternal way!)

That information was also available on the actual thread...we had someone asking how the cumulative score was worked out as he ccouldn't understand how we had come up with the totals. As I said though, it is only a slight annoyance that the work (and money) myself, Clint, Dave and Lunchy has been glossed over/ignored but there you go, life isn't fair and it won't prevent me (I cannot speak for the others) repeating the juggling act/financial outlay again next year.
