  1. It's not as simple as that. It requires a fair amount of skill to keep it on the inside. Go into the corner too hot, riders can drift out wide. Go in slower, you can get picked off. The key difference between a track like Monmore and a track like the NSS is Monmore requires a lot more skill from the rider, the NSS is more engine based. A bog standard rider with the right set up can win races at the NSS. This isn't an attack on the NSS, it produces the best racing in the country without a doubt.
  2. It means they have less to work with. Everyone knew the engine he had been trying?
  3. I'll reserve judgement till I see the change/s... however, if its just a straight swap its a calamity. The potential was there for something along the lines of 1: Lindgren 2: Howarth 3: Proctor/Schlein 4: Thorssell 5: Masters 6: Skornicki 7: Clegg when the averages changed. A title winning side in my eyes. A straight swap would do nothing to solve the problem and mean we still won't win any away matches.
  4. So we've established that fairness and contriving close results aren't an issue...
  5. Dean Felton, Adam's mechanic posted "Well that's that then" followed by a spanner emoticon and a sad face. Could mean either Adam is dropped.. or Adam has given Dean the boot. Or Dean has broken his favourite spanner.
  6. Hearing Ford is keen on Skornicki to replace KK if he becomes available.
  7. Most people are saying he wasn't on the 'new' engine tonight. Dean Felton mentioned a new GM had been ordered as his current GM and the BMW weren't producing the goods. Has it arrived yet? Issue Wolves have is there are two more home meetings before the 3rd away match. I'm assuming averages are when 3 home/3 away are completed? That means they'll be inflated? Not good, will scupper the plans quite a bit... Need some rain!
  8. Exactly.. which is why I'm thinking a decent rider added to that top 4.. then Skornicki at reserve.. 'could' be very strong if he only rediscovered half of his form at reserve.. we've seen how that has rejuvenated so many over the years.
  9. Big decision for Wolves to make now. Act now and replace Skornicki before his average changes. Personally, I don't think that solves anything long term, we'd still have very very poor reserves. Alternatively, he is going to have a very low average which should allow a decent rider to come in for Greaves and Skornicki drop to reserve. Question is, is it just the engines, or is it him?
  10. All good for the averages and potential changes. A narrow win is the perfect result.
  11. But you gladly attended for years with a system that was far more unfair.
  12. Wolves official website has them. Edited.. just checked, not yet included the Belle Vue away match.
  13. Sounds a sensible decision. Too many folks hanging around in the pits in most meetings. If he's not a rider, official or mechanic why is he there?
  14. Once again folk are blind to the fact that our second highest averaging rider fails to beat an opposing heat leader in his programmed rides. It's only the fact he is riding at No 4 and gets his fourth ride against a second string and a reserve that is masking his poor away performances. Skornicki and the reserves are not the only problem.
  15. You do realise he is riding well below the level required?
  16. Thorssell isn't going anywhere Sid, its moot.
  17. You're right, its a top two team. The team proposed was Lindgren, Howarth, Schlein, Skornicki, Masters, Howe, Clegg.. Way, way stronger than we currently have.. but as has already been stated, not possible now because Howe's average of 4.80 doesn't kick in till the first average changes. We wouldn't need Thorssell for his 'home form' in that side. Schlein is very good at Monmore and Howe would outscore Greaves a lot more than Thorssell would Schlein. Away Schlein is arguably better than Thorssell, whilst again Howe head and shoulders above Greaves. As said Sidney, it's not even a debate as to which is strongest.. Nobody ever said Schlein for Thorssell. The original suggestion, prior to the discovery that Howe's average wouldn't kick in till the first average change, was Schlein and Howe for Thorssell and Greaves.
  18. It's not even a debate that Schlein/Howe is a LOT stronger than Thorssell/Greaves. Not that it will happen or even possible as Howe's average doesn't kick in till the new averages.
  19. Pretty much shot your own argument down in flames, well done! Not that you had one in the first place.
  20. The first of those two were as a second string under the old race format, so easy rides. In essence, as has been said many times, his home performances have been good, his away poor.
  21. As it currently stands we have around 2.3 pts.
  22. Ok, just a bit of tinkering then and we can do it!
  23. Disagree to be honest. It simply needs to be worked that at the first set of averages we can replace Greaves with Howe. That turns us into a title contending team in my opinion. Is it 42 or 40 the averages change too? We currently total 39.61 (on new averages).. which would give us 2.39 if it changes to 42.. We need 2.80 to get Howe in for a 2.00 Greaves. Only need to drop a tad...
