  1. Lindgren not riding then? The figures on the official site are wrong for Thorssell. They have him averaging 10.67 at home from two matches.. takes some doing that when you only got 7 from 4 in one of them! They've given him three extra points from somewhere. Overall average is wrong too.
  2. Because the SEC is a glorified Individual meeting, not an FIM event.
  3. Same. I'd say it was more likely a headache he was suffering from. There is a difference but many simply call any headache a 'migraine'.
  4. I don't think anyone, bar the BSPA, do argue in favour of it do they?
  5. As said, not sure what folk were expecting from Kennett last night. 3 would have been a good performance.
  6. I heard that too, but the only approved model is the Barry Briggs Indicator, which is available for the bargain price of £3750.
  7. Going back a bit further, these are the ones I found on speedway updates. 3 from 4 for Lakeside in 2015 2 from 4 for Birmingham in 2014 5+1 from 4 for Swindon in 2013 5 from 6 and 4 from 4 in 2012 for Coventry. Riding at No 1 against a very strong Wolves top five, 0 is about right
  8. Good post, agree with all of that.
  9. I'd certainly never class Kennett as being 'very good' at Monmore, really not sure where people have got that impression from. More, 'ok' if track conditions suit. Made a very tidy sum from Under 6pts at 2.30 with Bet365 last night on him. As a no 1 against this Wolves line up he was always going to struggle to score many pts.
  10. The debate wasn't about Berry, his skills as a promoter or whether he knew his speedway. Just his comment over the tactical ride which was incorrect. Over and over you have a pop at me for discussing a topic I claim I am right on. Well, you'd have to be a blithering idiot to argue something you were wrong on... funny how you are often on that side of the fence. Like yourself I enjoyed reading what Berry had to say about the sport and he had a lot of knowledge.
  11. There isn't anything to disagree on. You are wrong. John Berry was wrong. Daveallan above who has all the statistics has confirmed you are wrong. Now, you can either act like an adult, learn something and move on, or you can continue acting like an internet troll. There is absolutely no comparison between a substitution in football and a 'tactical substitution' in speedway. It beggars belief that anyone can seriously compare the two. However, if you really want to go down that route and claim they are similar, your argument holds no water anyway as both teams can make subs in football.. not just the team losing. I do agree with you in preferring the old system to double points so there is common ground.
  12. Typical speedway fan. Try engaging your brain and actually thinking for yourself instead of blindly believing what someone else has said.
  13. And folk were complaining Wolves weren't looking after the Brits
  14. Where has this sudden belief that riders have to earn enough for speedway to be their sole job come from? That used to be the domain of the better riders. Even back in 1996 riders such as James Grieves and Stewart McDonald in the Wolves side were employed in normal jobs. Indeed that was the norm for riders at their level and the league below.
  15. So, as the first sentence was "Any tac sub system being needed says everything about the standard of racing on offer" You deem that first rate. One can only assume then the standard of racing now is better than it has been for 50 odd years as we have the least amount of tactical interference in a match and that back in the 'good old days' when tac subs were much more frequent and had a bigger impact, not to mention denying lesser riders the opportunity to race, that the racing was rubbish. Or was perhaps the first sentence not 'first rate'?
  16. Except it did just that.. many times. six down.. two races to go.. Hancock and Hamill double tac sub... Hancock and Hamill heat 15. Match won. As an example. Any form of tac rule can be deemed as 'silly', its clearly giving an advantage to one side over the other. For what it's worth, I much preferred the old tac sub system but I don't ever bring fairness or contrived results into it which some consistently do when attacking the current system.
  17. Truth hurts. It's not something you can escape, it's the reality. Good to see you got a like from the other supporter of contrived results and unfairness, Steve Roberts.
  18. Some would suggest racing speedway in the top flight and an Elite League gold medal, British U-19 champion that he has already 'made it'.
  19. Yes, he is a very nice chap. He explained the situation multiple times. It's not his fault that folk cannot read English and continue to post garbage even after he has been shown to be 100% correct.
  20. You tell us, you attended happily seeing such things for decades. When they made it fairer, so we got less 'contrived/fiddling' last heat deciders, you decided you didn't like it.
  21. Exactly.. and with a bit of South Coast massaging there would have been more than 5.5 available too..
  22. He would have worked out brilliantly once he'd dropped to reserve. Better than in our wildest dreams. And how do you propose they will do that? The whole point of the new averages is you had a rider like Adam dropping big points of his average. By bringing someone else in, we've not got that leeway when the new averages come out.
  23. It does absolutely nothing to help us at all. We'll still be whipping boys away from home as we are carrying two reserves and unless Thorssell replicates his home form, we won't be winning anywhere. Skornicki scored 7 at Rye and we still got hammered. If that's the change, they've blown it.
