Staggers me you and others can have a pop at Gavan when he was pretty much spot on with his pre match analysis.

Greg Hancock Hurt?
BWitcher replied to False dawn's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Whereas I'll stick with the view that the best riders in the World, not currently in the GP should be offered the wild card. Age is utterly irrelevant. -
I don't buy this lack of 'cameras'. I have tonnes of videos of meetings in the past filmed with just ONE camera and they don't miss the exciting parts of the race. Indeed, they are far better, viewed from side on with a bit of height. To me, you miss more of the action the more cameras you have as you constantly flip from close ups to head ons etc. All the other camera angles are most beneficial during replays to give a different perspective.

He'd very likely still have been in the top 8 but for the injury, even as high as 4th given his record at Cardiff. Hardly 'struggling'. -
Is This Swindon Team The Best Of Recent Times?
BWitcher replied to DC2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Orion is correct. Poole have been by far the biggest club in the UK over the last decade or so. Of course, that is nowhere near as big as clubs used to be, Belle Vue especially. That however is the past. Belle Vue, in their new home, may reclaim that status in the coming years, time will tell. -

We're not in the 70/80's. You may as well say Preston North End are the biggest football club with this argument. What you should say is 'were' not 'are', especially with relation to Coventry and Cradley. -

It's always amusing when folk get in such a muddle they start arguing against themselves. -
Not really, advantage Belle Vue. As we know in last year's final Fricke went missing at Monmore. Bjerre, Cook and Worrall are all much better riders at Monmore than Fricke. Come the play-offs, if the two teams clash, it could swing things the Aces way. Then Belle Vue can have absolutely nothing to complain about as they have voted for the rule themselves. Is the rule stupid? Of course, but that's the rules.

The ones whinging are the ones who have been celebrating these rule changes all season long.

Actually, if you are caught fixing a result in most sports you receive a ban and usually a long one. -
Well, after three successive defeats and the season beginning to slip away, in steps Sudden Sam and hey presto
-
It hadn't been ratified then had it. Also as explained, all the other promoters would have known and none of them wanted to sign either of them. How would Holder or Batchelor knowing have changed that, would the be bribing teams to sign them or something?
-
What does it matter if they were informed? All of the other promoters would have known, had they wanted to sign either of them they would have made a move. As it is, nobody wanted them.

Actually for once it makes the sport look good.

Who cares? You reap what you sew.

Shame. Well done Kings Lynn on taking a stand.

So you've defeated your own argument then.

Clearly you are not up to speed. He has never said he doesn't want to be in the side, he has said he won't ride with the way it is organised now. Just as others have done before him.
-
The only reason we came 2nd was Woffinden. The only reason we came 4th was yet another fixed draw.
-
No match on BT Sport this week, I think next one is Kings Lynn next Monday.
-
Dear me... Of all the examples to pick. Woffinden has been advising Worrall and indeed at the World Games yesterday was in the pits with him. It's little wonder Worrall, again, performed above himself whilst the other GB performers were awful. You couldn't have picked a worse example!
-
Point proven again in the World Games where Worrall, with Woffinden in his corner, put up another creditable performance. Shame about his partner. That's why he was there at the World Games helping Steve Worrall. As Rob B says above he has been one of the best team riders in the sport in the modern era. Did you mean to type 'with' or 'without'..

He is correct on that point. -
Of course has has lost 'some' fans. The key word there being 'some'. Those some are very much a minority despite how a few here try and twist it differently. Good to see Woffy helping out Steve Worrall in the World Games tonight, good solid performance from him.

King's Lynn Vs Wolverhampton 26/7/2017
BWitcher replied to Star Lady's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What happened in the old PL is utterly irrelevant to now simply due to the changes in the bikes, in particular the silencers.
