  1. Expected result from Wolves. Plenty more of that to come this year as the decision to leave Lindgren out comes back to haunt them. Their home form should be enough to keep a decent % happy but chances of trophies are slim to none. Great to see Bewley continuing to develop.
  2. Although it's not been his best track in the past I don't see it as being difficult really, that weakens Wolves a lot.. he is way above the level of Heeps, Morris and Greaves.
  3. Mixed benefits for Belle Vue. Weakens them in the short term, but longer term a spell at reserve could be very useful for Drodz to build up his confidence. Bewley should be able to hold his own in the top five, especially at home.
  4. I wouldn't say they 'fly'. They've had some decent rides but far from consistent, although consistency is tough there. Howarth I wouldn't class as flying round there in the slightest, one of his poorest away tracks I think. That said, he is much improved. I'd be shocked and pleasantly surprised if Wolves got within 12.
  5. I think you're right. Tbh, I've given up these days even trying to work it out!
  6. Fair enough, over the course of the season I stand by that. If Schlein is elevated to Number 1, it's a lot tougher. Could be some swapping around as the season goes on.
  7. Why is that? However, I agree, pointless discussion as it would never happen barring injury.
  8. No, people said if we end up with Schlein as our No 1 at season end, we'll be absolutely nowhere. I still stand by that. He's riding at No 4 at present. It's not at home where the questions needs to be answered, it's on the road.. where at the first time of asking, we didn't come up with the goods. Long way to go yet though and more positives than negatives so far on the season.
  9. No need to apologise. I understand if 2014 is your abiding memory, wasn't exactly a vintage year for the team as a whole. The heat format was very, very different then though.
  10. Pointing out you are wrong and providing evidence for that assertion is not patronising. I'm not discussing an opinion here, I am discussing reality. If you say something that is nonsense, I will say it's nonsense. The very fact you are unable to name ONE Championship team that would beat Rye or even give 'them a test over two legs' speaks volumes. You've had ample opportunity to do so. The simple reality is, you know you were posting in haste, over reacted and made a silly comment. No big deal, we all do it, myself included. The difference is whether you hold your hands up to that or continue digging and then when all else fails resort to the contrived nonsense you've posted here.
  11. To give someone a test over two legs it generally would mean beating them in the home leg. So no, not 'sad'. That was your over reaction to the result at Wolves and subsequent inability to put forward any modicum of argument to support it. All you were asked was to name ONE such Championship side, instead you had a paddy. This Rye side should hold it's own at home, but they'll need Harris to pick up his game to do so.
  12. I thought Rye House were so rubbish Championship teams would beat them??
  13. 2014 the Heat Format was very different, most 3rd heat leaders were struggling to score many pts that year. He averaged 6.42 inc bonus pts at home that year.
  14. He was? More than did his job and an integral part of the 2009 title winning side! Had a serious injury just as he was really beginning to make strides.
  15. No it isn't, otherwise some No 7's would be breaking tapes in all their heats.
  16. The crux of his point is, he doesn't think reserve changes should be allowed under any circumstance. I fail to see any benefit whatsoever to this idea, it hasn't been an issue in the past 60+ years of the sport and it isn't one now.
  17. Yes I do say so. Now an adult answer would have been, "I didn't realise that, thanks for pointing it out." The child storms off in a huff. Edited to add: Actually that's unfair on kids....
  18. I'm afraid the part in bold shows you really don't understand. There is nothing 'open to abuse' as the rider could have just been replaced anyway.
  19. You haven't had a point from the beginning. You've decided after 70 odd years of league speedway that suddenly the team with the best reserve will win the league. It's garbage.
  20. So you think it's a better spectacle to see a reserve, i.e. the lesser standard rider in the race the vast majority of the time, start 15 metres back rather than be replaced by another reserve? The mind boggles.
  21. Well if you want to reduce crowds further that would be a great idea.
  22. It's how you build your side. Some prefer to be top heavy with weaker reserves, others go more balanced ensuring always a strong reserve. It's not a recent thing, it's been that way for decades. It creates opportunity for astute management (which there is hardly opportunity for anymore) yet some want to sterilise the tactical options yet further. Jakobsen had seven rides tonight purely because of RR.
  23. Dear me.. this forum does talk some nonsense at times.
