How stupid is that? I am British but was disgusted with the referee. If it wasn't for his incompetence and blatant cheating then it would never have been a last heat decider anyway!! Well done Hans You can blame the referee for everything. You could see the danes getting very angry that decisions were going against them in favour of the Brits. I said over and over that they would get their revenge one way another. I expected either Hans or Nicki to wipe someone out on the 1st bend. However they were even cleverer! BUT as I have already said, I don't think Andersens actions had ANY bearing on the result. Scott was always going to struggle from Gate 1. PK was the only rider who was able to generate speed around the outside at the end of the meeting and was ALWAYS going to storm straight past. Andersen very quickly let Scotty past but PK pulled further and further clear each lap. The result was NEVER in doubt. Yes, I agree that Andersen, in a sportsmans world, shouldn't have done what he did, but these things happen. The Danes had been taken out by the Brits several times earlier in the night and the ref had taken no action. They were always going to find a way to get even.

We do know! Nicholls got past quite quickly and was not very far behind PK at all. However PK was FAR quicker and pulled well clear. He was able to ride a wider line than any of the other riders at the end of the meeting and was generating more speed. GB rode superbly, gave it their best shot, however, it was apparent to me that 3 gate 1's in the last 4 races would cost them, and it did.

All night I was saying that the Danes would eventually get the English back. And they did. BUT there was no way Scotty was going to get near PK.

Yeah, cus Ronnie Russell is doing so well this year isn't he. You talk such utter c*** at times. No blame can be levelled at Middlo tonight.

I agree completely regarding the onboard camera. Its a good idea, but should be used for replays only to give another perspective of the race.

He's bloody dirty, that 2 rides now where he has wiped out riders. 3 if you count the Adams incident but tht was just him being out of control. I don't think he's dirty, I have always thought that he never looks in total control of his machine, he bucks, rears and wobbles all over the place. He's dangerous, not dirty and very over-rated. He doesn't need to be over-rated, his results speak for themselves. I am not a Poole fan, or necessarily a Lindback fan, but I find it laughable when people come out with this kind of comment.

Me too Jess.. I was angry that it might spoil an otherwise great meeting.. But, on reflection, they are the rules and the teams needed to be aware of them. Its not like a League match where the last race is nominated. What would have made it worse would have been if the Aussies had someone like Boyce in the last heat and tac-subbed in Adams/Crump as a joker too.. Luckily Gollob did the biz, assisted by PK! I thought he might just stay out of the way but him winning the race helped the Poles out!

My thoughts exactly Karl.. I was furious when that joker came out. It could have ruined an absolutely FANTASTIC meeting. Made me cheer for Gollob anyway, and what a ride!!!! Speedway at its very very best. Bring on the Final!!!

Absolutely amazing!! That has to rank as one of THE GREATEST meetings I have seen on TV.. It was almost ruined by the joker at the end but fair play to GOLLOB!! Amazing..

A disgraceful decision!!! Yes he touched his leg, but as you say Johno knew he'd messed up. Mikael had the run..HAD PASSED him by the bend hence his back wheel touching Johno's leg.. Johno desperately tried to hang his leg out to block the pass but to no avail. Very poor coverage from Sky. What were they playing at? Missed the start of the next race too!!

Seriously, I can see what you are saying regarding his nerves. However, by Sat it will be his 3rd such tense meeting. He's got to get used to the pressure sometime. I think he has too much ability, plus home track advantage to leave him out. Its up to the Swedes to calm him down. There is enough experience in the team to do that. Maybe a win will help too.

Ha! Yep, what an idiot, passing Ryan Sullivan in style! The idiots are Australia digging up Craig Boyce! I couldn't stop laughing when I heard that before the meeting! I've never seen anyone with the ability to go from 1st to last as often as Boyce! Lindback was unfortunate it was the outclassed Boyce outside him in his 2nd ride. A good rider would have stayed on!
