Elite League Pairs

Bjerre is far from down. In fact last night went better than he planned no doubt. -

Yes, bloomin brilliant when it mattered in the play-offs wasn't he. -

3 races in a row? You really honestly believe that? Others had trouble in the meeting, jumped on their 2nd bike and away they went. Bjerre made no attempt, his bike wasn't even failing. It tends to stop when you release the throttle you know. Try watching the pre-meeting interview with him. He had zero interest at that stage. The one or two Lynn fans and I note, Peterboro fans who are used to such antics, are not blind. -

Its not a bandwagon. You are happy for your number 1 to treat his fans with contempt. Each to their own. Last Friday is irrelevant. Tonight he did not want to know, it was clear from the pre-meeting interview. Its not the first time with him, it won't be the last. -

Bagpuss, If you seriously think Bjerre was in anyway interested tonight you are deluded. And, if you are happy with that kind of effort from your No 1 rider, fair enough. Very low standards. Nicholls had an excuse for not team riding every time he was interviewed. -

Once again Kenneth Bjerre is a total disgrace. Machine problems my a***. There is a GP on Saturday and he does not want to know. Shame for the Kings Lynn fans who would no doubt want the home pairing to at least try to win the meeting. -
Thanks Dave for this information. However, the very existence of this thread accentuates what I have been saying all winter. The BSPA has no respect whatsoever for its customers. It is mind bogglingly PATHETIC that the BSPA can't be bothered to officially release this information themselves. For the few BSPA apologists, is there a legal embargo on this information as well??

At Last The News We Have Been Waiting For
BWitcher replied to Doctorwu's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Good god, I see the usual duo (Shovlar & Tsunami) are still gloating, even when everyone else has read the statement.. can clearly see there is NO apology in there and does not care one iota. All that matters is the two teams are back and we can get on with enjoying the season. -
Remind me why they dropped down a league originally. Remind me why they have always insisted they would not move up to the EL and the reasons (at a time when the EL was in a better state) Remind me why when the relegation play-offs roll round the forum is inundated with posters saying its a farce because if the PL team won, they couldn't afford to move up. The consensus of this forum for years has been that it would be dumb for PL teams to move up to the EL, so why has that suddenly changed, at a time when the PL is gaining new tracks (Leicester), at a time when Kings Lynn's local rivals Ipswich have dropped down (big gates in the local derbies to look forward too). There is no sound business reason whatsoever for Kings Lynn to have moved up at this time... that we know of.

No, I am sure they looked at it logically and thought, Hey, we are a thriving club in the PL, making money eacy year and one of the top dogs of the league. Shall we continue in this vein or Lets go join the EL, the league that is losing money hand over fist, looks like imploding at any moment, costs a lot more money to operate in..

Is Winning At All Costs Destroying The El?
BWitcher replied to DarrenCook's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Quite correct that the majority of fans don't give a monkeys about PL-EL conversions. What they do give a monkeys about is being given value for money. They do not expect to see a product weakened year after year and be expected to pay more for the privilege of seeing it! The sport has no future until those running it finally wake up and realise this fact! -
Is Winning At All Costs Destroying The El?
BWitcher replied to DarrenCook's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Keep costs down.. More utter utter tripe. How many more seasons will they spend trying to keep costs down? Do they not have eyes? Can they count? They moan about making losses year after year, moan about declining crowds year after year and still can't figure out that one of THE major contributing factors is the consistent weakening of the league! The Elite League is being reduced to a group of men desperately clinging onto their power. -
Ben Barker V Tai Woffinden
BWitcher replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The ability of other english riders has nothing to do with the ability of either Woffinden or Barker. Based upon your logic, Greg Hancock is tat.. after all, the standard of the other Americans isn't exactly high is it. See how dumb your statement looks now? Not that anybody, bar you, is suggesting that Woffinden & Barker are the best English riders. -

He isn't retiring from work, he is retiring as a professional speedway rider. -

I guess we are lucky at Wolves in that we have had a long list of riders who have been loyal to the club and only ever rode elsewhere when they simply could not be fitted in at the club. Ermolenko, Correy, PK, Mikael Karlsson/Max, Adam Skornicki, Lindgren to name a few of the obvious ones. From speaking to some of the current team, first and foremost they want to be back at Wolves next year. -

No doubt Dirt will tell us what a fool the Torun president is before long.. Does this signal the end of the Holder/Ward roadshow? -

BWitcher replied to Panthers99's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
At the moment.. until the withdrawals begin. But wait, Dirt and yourself tell us that for the riders, individual meetings are where its at! We will see... As for those GP stars who were allegedly meant to be invited.. well, the press release on 22nd September stated that invitiations had been sent out. No wonder nobody wanted to do it. Those invitations should have gone out at the start of the season so riders have chance to plan in advance!! -

Of what relevance is his GP avg to an Elite League Riders event.
